Synopsis: Anakin & Obi-Wan - sent to track down the mysterious figure behind the deaths of several Jedi - soon find themselves on the trail of the monstrous apprentice that Ventress has created: Savage Opress. However - Dooku & Ventress also discover that this new apprentice has a will of his own.
• The clones escorting Halsey's body to the Jedi Temple are the four Republic commandos created for the 2005 LucasArts video game.
• Expanded Universe lore had previously suggested that the Jedi never knew Darth Maul's name, but the captured Neimoidians would have known it during the Naboo invasion. Maul's EU connections to Iridonia are also mentioned, though the episode reveals Maul was raised on Dathomir.
• When Dooku looms over Savage after besting him in a lightsaber duel, he holds two lightsabers at his throat in a very deadly scissor formation. Ironically, this is how Dooku meets his end in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.
• Dooku evidently holds a grudge: King Katuunko rejected Dooku's offer to join the Separatists in the very first episode of The Clone Wars, "Ambush."
• The ship that the Jedi take to leave Toydaria is the Thief's Eye, the same vessel briefly glimpsed in "Ambush" and used by King Katuunko.
• Dooku's escape hatch concealed in his quarters was previously seen in Season One, "Dooku Captured." Though Savage does not pursue because he is interrupted by Jedi intruders, it's questionable whether his enormous build would even fit into the escape tunnel.
• Savage's long lost brother living in the Outer Rim? Interesting.
A very cool episode and I can't help but feel bad for Savage. He is nothing but a tool that gets abused. He definitely has potential to be a strong warrior, but just lacks training like we saw in the episode. The cameo of Delta Squad is awesome in HD compared to the cam rip from Celebration V.
Like the last episode (at least the final part), this episode has the too fast paced problem. But a great episode, no less. Can't wait for Mortis and QGJ.
Ah the trilogy had the best elements of the Star Wars movie - fast pace, lot of locale changes, great sub-stories (the Toydaria) and awesome editing. The camera during the lightsaber duel between the "bad guys" was just brilliant - reminded me a lot of the second episode. I would like to see more of that dynamic stuff in the future episodes because it really feels dynamic. Nice to see droids getting back as well "you are now ! (oh they're dead)"
Don't know what to think of Maul though - he was in a "multi-vector assault mode" the last time we've seen him (google that one with star trek).
I was slightly disappointed by the fact that Dooku didn't kill Ventress though - I want to see that

A thrilling conclusion to an epic mini arc! These episodes are getting to be as exciting and as gripping as the films themselves. I really enjoyed this arc, but now I think I've become too spoiled and feel that 22 minutes a week, are just not enough. What about a 44 minute show; or if not that - how about a Telemovie?

I was expecting the same thing. I was hoping Dooku was going to stab her through the forehead with his Sabre!
She's got to go!
