It's 2010. And I in that realization, I am amazed at what a strange place the world has become. I awake each day as if I had indeed stepped out into, (dramatic pause), the Twilight Zone. insert Twilight Zoney music
This isn't the glorious future they promised me.
Oh, and what really sucks about facebook is that when myspace first came out, you could find trashy party pictures of tramps in your own neighborhood within mere seconds of loggin on. And now everybody and thier fucking grandma is on facebook using mostly real info so there is not even a fraction of the nipplage I expect per mb out of my internet on there. There should be an "adult" version of facebook called facialbook or something. If it happens, I want royalties. I'm cheap.
What's up MF? |

/conversations-about-the-internet-5-anonymous-facebook-employee/
Social Networking is the new AOL with Myspace becoming the new geocities-angelfie complete with tacky backgrounds and blaring midi music.
There has been a migration away from myspace to facebook since myspace is now seen as a internet ghetto.

I'm not into bondage, though. I like chunky bitches.
Thanks for the video, DP. I always knew it was just another tool of oppression and tyranny for the fucking man. Good thing mine is a life not worth watching. By the Feds anyway.
On a lighter note.
I'm going to lose my job again for the second time in three years. I came in January 4th, 7:30 AM and ready to kick 2010's ass. And they said "Hey, guess what?". I said "What?". They said "Somebody bought the company and they are going to take over in the next 90 days." I said "Oh. Fuck."
Now, from what I've read in my own state's unemployment assistance guidelines, when my current employer ceases business and closes, technically my position is terminated. It is up to the new owners discretion as to whether or not they want to hire me to do the same job for them that I did for my previous employer. But considering I am working without a contract of any kind, I take that to mean that it is also up to my discretion as to whether or not I even apply to be rehired in the first place. Because I think I want to take this opportunity to find something more lucrative, and closer to home. Plus, in October, they hired another manager to work with me. And he has been working at avoiding actually working ever since. And he gets paid more than me. And his poor performance is loosing me money. So I hope the new guy hires him first. So I can verbally rip them all a new one as a stroll off into the sunset. And to bankruptcy court.
I need a vacation anyways. Even an unpaid one. |

Yeah. That is the plan. I'm going to have a nice looking yard this spring. Unless the new owner wants to pay me a ridiculous amount of money. Then I might stick around. But I doubtit. I can be disappointed closer to home. Plus, if the new guy fires me within the first six months, I can't get unemployment. I would rather stay home for half the pay then drive everyday on that shitty gamble.
Plus, then I won't have to study for the drug test for a few months. W3rd.
I had to unfriend my second cousins step-daughter on facebook the other day. Y'think she'll notice? I don't care, however, because every day she posts some new and upbeat Jesus and comfort and rainbows soul-searching heart-loving faith heals bullshit that I just can't stomach. So I deleted her from my friend list. I hope she doesn't take it too personal.
Oh, and I went and saw Avatar yesterday. I figured the crowds would have died down. All of the other old basterds had the same idea. Theatre full of old people fumbling around with the 3D glasses and calling thier kid to ask them how to turn off thier cellphones. The whole place wreaked of confusion and Metamucil.
It was a good movie though. I don't get the whole "religious experience" aspect of it, or the social commentarious whateverness the media and the Republicans are blowing out of proportion at the moment. It was good sci-fi. And action. Lots of neat vehicles. Right up my alley. I dug it. |

it had stuff blowing up and flying dragons. I was good with it.
My sister's almost like your cousin'ish person. I simply comment on her status with a dose of reality. I'm currently waiting on her to unfriend me. |

Sorry about that Troy.
I still haven't seen Avatar. I just still have no interest. But it is going to be the biggest of all time soon. Guess I'll catch it at home. |

Speaking of me praising things, which happening at all is odd considering what a negative brooding pessismistic and over-critical asshole I am told I usually appear to be, the local Hollywood Video is going out of business and my wife bought me a couple of real (reel, ha!) winners.
Sex Drive, a movie that cracked me the fuck up when I watched it out of sheer boredom on Starz at 1:00AM a few months ago. 3 bucks. And there's Amish girls flashing. The brotherly dynamic between the main character and his older brother really made me miss my only and now dead brother a lot. In a funny way, you'd have to watch to know wtf I mean. Any guy with at least one brother who sees this will know what I'm talking about. It's hillarious for that reason alone. And Seth Green is in it, and he's pretty funny.
But the one that really blew my mind was the new Star Trek. I hadn't bothered to actually watch this one until now, but at $7 WTF. Why not, right? Allthough I have a general loathing of anything Trek related, this one surprised the hell out of me by actually being a great movie! I didn't hate it at all, which has only happened 2 other times for me at a Star Trek film. The FX and action were fantastic, and it didn't require any mental gymnastics to follow along. The actors all did a great job too. Not only did I not hate this Star Trek movie, but I actually enjoyed it. Get the fuck out. Would have lost that bet. |

| I blame Zemeckis. He showed us what a cool future could look like (except for those shitty projection screens everywhere). And then he lied and said hoverboards were real. What an asshole. |

I have contemplated this a great deal over the years. And I have come to the conclusion that being able to fly, on an individual basis, be it jetpack or hoverboard, hell even the flying car, would be the logical next step in mankinds physical evolution. Imagine all the people who wouldn't be killed in tsunamis or earthquakes or in traffic accidents if people could just detach from the ground. Hovering alone could save buckets of energy and fuel costs, and full on Supermanning the population would inevitably lead to some degree of tragedy. But weighed against the benefits I still think it would be a better idea. And the technology isn't really that far away. Unless of course you factor in the ruling classes opinion of the rest of us. There would indeed, for a relatively short period of time, be chaos. The fuel and transportation industries would need to adapt pretty quickly, but they could still stay ahead of it. The international socio-economic system would be reordered. Borders would be useless. Security would enter a new dimension of challenges. But I think the world is ready.
The fucking MAN however does not. Thats why.
Oh, and did ya hear they have some kind of Olympics happening at the moment? I don't know shit about it, but if this woman is going to be gripping poles while going down(hill) fast, I think I might have to tune in. She's a little skinny for my taste, but I'd give it a shot. Deeeng. |

Women athletes don't do it for me. Because they have no tit-tays. Except for some tennis player who went and cut off a fantastic rack. If you can't tell already I'm in to girls with back problems. |

| I was about to post how fucking wrong that would be, messing up double D's to play some sport. Then I looked at her picture and realized that I wouldn't want to hit it anyways, once she reached the legal age of consent of course. Carry on. |

I voted for "the" just to be a dick
and when that whole "tennis" thing plays out in about 3 or 4 more years, she's gonna wish she had those puppies back when her ass is sitting back in Romania. |
