So who here has the force FX Lightsabers from MR (Master Replicas)?

I had the old Anakin AOTC FX Lightsaber but upon taking it apart I accidently fucked it up some how and the saber became useless.

I recently bought the full double bladed Darth Maul FX Lightsaber and holy shit..talk about beautiful. One thing I've always wanted in the time I was in the prop collecting business was a fully lightable Darth Maul saber and I for one was glad when MR announced they were releasing one. The two sabers join together on a coupler which I damaged mine because I got the two halfs too tight on the coupler when I was aligning the knobs straight and I couldn't get them off. It took a pair of plyers (not the pointy nosed ones) to hold the coupler in place and give each saber ends enough twist to pry them off.

I have managed though to get a replacement coupler thanks to a friend of mine. Next time I will have my dad help me put the damn thing together so I don't fuck it up again. Oh I will point out that I was disappointed to the fact they reused the sounds from the Vader ESB hilt for this hilt. A lot of people (including myself) were hoping they would have used the actual Maul lightsaber sound files from the film for this saber.

I also bought the Anakin Episode III FX Lightsaber. Holy shit...words alone cannot describe the sheery beauty of this lightsaber. I've seen a lot of pictures of it's Limited Edition counter part and they got every detail perfect on the FX Lightsaber, just like the Maul. The brightness of the blade is out standing. I even took it in my bathroom to see what it would look like in a complete dark room and I was blown away how bright it was and how it completely light up the room. The weight distrabution for this lightsaber is also a lot better than one of the single bladed Maul FX ones, as far as twirling it in a hand goes. I actually love this lightsaber more than the Maul FX.

So again who here has the FX sabers and which ones do you have?

Edit: If anyone was wondering I am 25 and yes I still live with my parents (hey cheaper rent).

I have the ESB Vader and the Episode III Obi-Wan. The Obi-Wan is a little skinnier IMO and fits in my hand better. But they are both fantastic and wouldn't give them up for anything.

I have the Mace Windu ForceFX. "It's the one that says Bad Mother F-er" The purple blade rocks.

I have the AOTC and ROTS Anakins, ANH Vader, ROTJ Luke and a custom Count Dooku I made. The ROTS Anakin is by far my favorite.

I agree Dan, the Anakin ROTS is definitely my favorite out of the two I have. I hope I can get the Mace ROTS FX saber in November, I'd love to own the "BMFer".

Silly question for you, Raveers... what the hell were you doing taking your Force FX lightsaber apart to begin with?

I have Anakin's III saber lots of fun. Just wish they had these things back when I was 7.

Has anyone taken apart the ESB Vader saber? Supposedly this is one that you can modify to have a removable blade.

Currently replacing busted LEDs in my ROTJ saber.

I took apart my ROTS Ani and ESB Vader and switched the blades. then the shroud on the Vader broke, so I've been slowly modifying it into a custom blue-bladed saber.

Here's my FX collection as it stands now.

I've got a vintage graflex which I'll be turning into a Luxeon March 2008 and I plan on buying me a new Anakin ROTS and the new Luke ANH FX saber. I might pick up the Vader ESB for completest sake.

I have ANH Vader, Yoda, and ANH Luke.

The Luke one is a little underwhelming. It rattles a bit, the blade creaks too. Also it's nowhere near as loud as the Yoda one.

Has Master Replicas (or someone else) ever released Darth Sidious lightsaber that he used in RotS, or do I have to build one myself?

Master Replicas never released a Sidious FX saber. All though I think Hasbro has one in the works but it's rumors for now. Hasbro also has plans to release the Obi-Wan TPM and Dooku FX sabers sometime this year.

Great news. Not only that that Sidious saber is in the works, but also that Dookus FX sabers is a go. Let's hope it turns out to be true. I really don't want to build Sidious saber myself, but i have considered it before if it never was to be released.

It's true about the Dooku and Obi-Wan sabers as I just posted. There's pictures of them both from the recent Toy fair, Rebelscum has pictures. They are done they are just waiting for a release date, though chance are it probably won't be until sometime later this year.

Hasbro mentioned in a Q&A that, due to decreased demand, they plan to sell the current production run pretty much through before they (if they do) introduce any new models.

Sandtroopers.com: Dear Hasbro, when will we see a release on the Mace Windu and Luke Skywalker (RotJ) Force FX sabers? Or with the popularity of The Clone Wars, we will be seeing an Ahsoka Tano Force FX lightsaber any time soon?

Hasbro: Unfortunately, we're off to a slower-than-expected start with the Force FX business, as consumer demand is not yet where we forecasted it to be for the original sabers. As such, we have to move through our material commitments to the original sabers before we can release the new ones. Hopefully they will be out this Fall. There are plans for an Ahsoka Force FX lightsaber, but in the longer term once we are successful with the current lineup.
