Episode Brief: Anakin & Obi-Wan discover evidence of a traitor amongst their ranks while attempting to lead Republic forces to liberate the planet of Christophsis from a Separatist Siege.

Not bad. I liked it. I like the idea of clones thinking for themselves. I like the setup for the movie and I love the interaction between Ventress and Obi.

• The clone barracks include pin-ups of Twi'lek girls and Naboo handmaidens.

Clone: Jester is tellin' the truth. Cleans his weapon after every mission. First thing, every time. He's kind of obsessed that way.
Cody: Is that right? You were cleaning your weapon?
Jester: Yes, sir.
Cody: Go on the computer while you were in here?
Jester: No, sir. Didn't even power it up. You can check.

Thank you Mr Psychotic! I look forward to seeing the clones bicker, etc.

There's no way that wasn't deliberate. I couldn't believe that made its way onto a kid's show.

Isn't the target audience twelve year old boys?

What I can't understand in this episode is that no one was particularly surprised that a clone can think independently enough to betray the Republic. Now the blind following of Order 66 from Ep III seems rather unconvincing.

In executing Order 66, the clones thought they were protecting the Republic from traitors. From their point of view, all Jedi had become like Slick.

Perhaps it was the betrayal of those like Slick that led the clone commanders to believe that Order 66 was possible.

While not as good as the trooper-oriented Rookies episode, this chapter was awesome nonetheless. The Hidden Enemy himself, was simultaneously sympathetic yet unlikeable. What made the show and Rogue Trooper interesting of course was the rebelling at the concept of Clone Troopers as expendable slaves to the Jedi.

The duel Duels at the end, intercut between Clonetroopers versus Rogue Trooper and Jedi versus Ventress was another highlight. What could have been yet another lightsaber duel was spiced up with some innuendo between Ventress and her opponents. The animators even had Ventress jiggling as she walked, shaking her hips.

Finally got to hear some more music cues from the films. I didn't expect "The Chase Through Coruscant" to be the first thing referenced, though. But Kiner did a good job adapting it to the clone fight, and I really like how it turned out.

Cartoon Network Picks Up Second Season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Fuck Yeah! )

After debuting to record numbers and claiming the #1 series across the entire basic cable landscape in 2008 and through January 2009 with boys 6-11, Cartoon Network announced today that it has picked-up a second season of the hit CG-animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, from creator George Lucas and Lucasfilm Animation.

Slated to premiere in the fall of 2009, the second season will continue to take audiences on new and exciting adventures, combining the legendary storytelling of Lucasfilm with innovative animation. The season one finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars airs on Cartoon Network Friday, March 20 at 9 pm ET/PT.

"Star Wars: The Clone Wars is like nothing else on television and has delivered for us on all levels," said Stuart Snyder, President/COO Turner Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media. The October 3, 2008 premiere of Star Wars: The Clone Wars scored as the most-watched series debut in Cartoon Network history, according to Nielsen Media Research. Since its premiere, Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Friday 9 p.m.) has ranked #1 in its time period on all television -- broadcast and ad-supported cable -- with boys 2-11, boys 6-11, and tween boys 9-14 through January 2009.

Fear the bad-assery that is Mace Windu. I wonder if they'll air all three in one day, like they're doing with these 2 virus episodes.
