Michael Bay announced on his site about the Revenge Of The Fallen Superbowl teaser tomorrow:
The Super Bowl spot is coming Sunday in the third Quarter (few minutes into the quarter slot). The spot will be online a few minutes after that - The full length teaser trailer will only be on Friday the Thirteenth. It will not hit the internet until a week later. The Teaser really only teases stuff - I'm holding so much stuff back from the final trailers because I personally hate going to movies where you have seen it all.

Tell me what you think,

Michael
Also the images and descriptions Thundercracker posted were removed from the various fansites. Which means a 2-FOOT TALL DEVASTATOR is coming. Also interesting to note that no images of The Fallen have been leaked yet.

that's gonna be one kickass toy if it's 6 separate toys that you can combine into one 2 foot tall asskicker!

Believe it or not the bot at the end is only ONE of the individual Constructicons, (the power-shovel that we have seen the toy of) and he's fucking huge! Imagine how big Devastator is going to be! :heavymetal:

HD LINKS:

Transformers-2-Revenge_480-final.zip
Transformers-2-Revenge_720-final-hb.zip
Transformers-2-Revenge_1080-final.zip

The first two images are from the previous page and the third one is the alt mode transformed to match the trailer. As you can see treads form the wheels and the crane's bucket splits to form the arms. The offbeat alt mode is in keeping with early reports on Devastators components not being typical robots. So it appears the components are more in keeping with Scorponok. Also the toy colors match the trailer and the previous page descriptions of "red" components.

ImageImageImage

It is theorized in the trailer's beginning that Soundwave, who is rumored to be a satellite dispatches the Decepticon comet pods and one of them becomes Ravage.

Thanks for the HD linkage, DP.

Although the producers have said the leaked TF2 treatment was discarded, elements from it are no doubt being used. If the comets seen crashing into the aircraft carrier are indeed Soundwave's protoform companions, that's straight out of the treatment.

There's been a lot discussion about the unicycle look but I like the unorthodox design. I see no reason why "alien robots" should all have a humanoid stature. Plus it reminds me of Beast Machines Thrust who was one of my favorites from that series. It was speculated for a while that the Constructicons would not have individual robot modes and would only be vehicles that formed to become Devastator. So it's nice that they seemingly are going to have individual bot modes no matter how strange.

I liked the first movie and I've read a bit of buzz around the net of how people thought this looks really cool or it's the best super bowl trailer etc, but there's something about this that screams of 'the same old shit'.

"We know from studying the marketing of movies, people really want to know everything that they are going to see before they go see the movie. It's just one of those things. What I relate it to is McDonald's. The reason McDonald's is a tremendous success is that you don't have any surprises. You know exactly what its going to taste like. Everybody knows the menu." -Robert Zemeckis

The second part really applies. McDonald's iz good.

Latino Review has a ton of behind the scenes pics from an extra that was in a scene in the desert. The pics are pretty cool. including a lifesize Bumblebee they had on set. You can also see the twins in vehichle mode. Also this possible spoiler:

[spoil]
Quote:
I had to chase a bunch of villagers out of the area because the Decepticons were attacking, then had to protect Optimus Prime's body. There were a shitload of us out there.

The food and catering was awesome. A lot of downtime. Just like a deployment.

I did an interview for the DVD. We will see if that is on it too. The asked me a bunch of questions about the military. The autobots are behind me on top of a sand dune. I did a GM plug. They liked that.

Micheal Bay loves the military. I got to speak with him very briefly. He gets so angry on set at the actors but doesn't dare yell or demean the military. It was a trip. He said something to me like do you want a job as a DA (Directors Assistant), I said hell yeah. He was getting pissed at his DA. His DA was like trust me you dont want this job.

I have two closeup shots if they do decide to put them in the movie. One was walking with the camera on the tracks going along with me but at a slower pace. The camera was right on the side of my face following me but at a slower rate. There were two others behind me. The other close up was while I was defending from a corner of a building on one knee. The boom camera went from the ground to over head of us all. I was up front in the scene. The camera came up to my face then began to ascend over the area. It was pretty cool.
Another scene was Optimus getting dropped off by a chinook. I had to run up to the area then stop as Optimus was getting dropped.

Another was with Josh and Tyrese when they argue with The President on the flightline. I am in the background.
As much time as I spent filming (9-10 hours a day for 4 days) I hope I am seen at least once. Hell I'll be happy to be on teh DVD.
[/spoil]

also, this pic comes from slashfilm.com and shows what kind of excavator that Constructicon is. The dumptruck it's loading into is also another Constructicon, the world's largest dumptruck. It's hard from the pic to get a judge on it's scale, but if you'll notice the diagonal line in front of the dumptruck, that's a staircase! :o

It hasn't been confirmed officially yet but the consensus is that the Audi R8 is indeed Barricade reformatted. The bots chasing him are the three Arcee motorcycles.

I did this for the first movie thread so here is a consolidated data sheet for all the Transformers known about so far.

AUTOBOTS

(Returning characters)

    Optimus Prime
    Alt Mode: Peterbilt semi-truck.
Toy Bio: With the destruction of MEGATRON, OPTIMUS PRIME thought he was finally, after millions of years, at peace. Little did he know that the escape of STARSCREAM would draw dozens of new DECEPTICONS to Earth. The desire that burns brightest in his Spark is that the war will soon end. He is determined to see that end come, and so he works with his human comrades and the other AUTOBOTS to hunt the DECEPTICONS that have come to Earth, and destroy them, one by one.
Leader Class toy - robot mode
Leader Class toy - truck mode

    Bumblebee
Alt Mode: Chevy 09 Concept Camero.

    Ironhide
    Alt Mode: GM Topkick truck.
    CG Promo 1
    CG Promo 2
    CG Promo 3

    Ratchet
    Alt Mode: Hummer H2 ambulance.
    CG Promo 1
    CG Promo 2
    CG Promo 3

(New Characters)

DECEPTICONS

(Returning characters)

    Megatron
    Alt Mode: Cybertronian tank.
Toy Bio: Rebuilt with parts cannibalized from other Decepticons, Megatron rises once again to lead his army. Though the AllSpark destroyed him once, he can now feel its power coursing through his circuitry. It calls him to seize his rightful place as ruler over the puny planet which on he was imprisoned and destroyed, and from which he will launch his conquest of the universe. Optimus Prime is all that stands in the way of victory, and the Autobot leader has done a poor job of hiding himself. At long last, Megatron knows exactly where his enemy is, and he has enough power to destroy him.
    CG Promo 1
    CG Promo 2
    CG Promo 3
    CG Promo 4

    Starscream
Alt Mode: F-22 Raptor. Now has Cybertronian style heiroglyphics tatooed on his body.
Toy Bio: The moment his sensor net registered Megatron going offline, Starscream knew the battle was over, and the Allspark lost. He converted to vehicle mode and boosted for outer space, hoping to buy enough time to rally the Decepticon survivors. Returning from Cybertron bearing the marks won during his reign over the Decepticon army, he is focused on conquest. With a new army behind him, he has the strength to pursue his own goals, and perhaps, when the time is right, bring Megatron back.
New Voyager class toy - robot mode
New Voyager class toy - jet mode
    CG Promo 1
    CG Promo 2
    CG Promo 3

    Barricade
    Alt Mode: Ford Mustang Saleen.
Notes: Has not been officially confirmed as appearing in the film.
Toy Bio: Repaired and retrofitted after the battle of Mission City, BARRICADE elected to remain on Earth while STARSCREAM returned to CYBERTRON. He has devoted his time on Earth to gathering intelligence for the inevitable rise of the DECEPTICONS. He stalks and captures important humans, then scans, interrogates and disposes of his captives using the highly sensitive probes built into his vehicle mode.

    Scorponok
Seen in the extended teaser trailer attacking Jetfire.

(New Characters)
    The Fallen
    Alt Mode: Cybertronian spaceship.
Toy Bio: For millennia, he has waited. Thousands of years have dragged by as he recruited proxies, one by one, to scour the cosmos for the artifact he required. Now he finds he must return to the primitive, flesh-slug infected planet on which his quest began. Nothing will stand in his way this time. If need be, he will scour the surface of this disgusting world clean in the fire of his rage, and search through the blasted rubble for that which he seeks.
Voyager Class toy - Robot mode
Voyager Class toy - Jet mode
    CG Promo 1
    CG Promo 2

    Soundwave
    Alt Mode: Cybertronian style Satellite.
Toy Bio: Stationed in orbit above Earth, Soundwave swiftly taps into every satellite within range. Within minutes, communications, data traffic, weather information, and high-resolution spy photography flood his sensor net. The spill of data fills him with pleasure, and one by one, the humans' systems come under his complete control. From his seat on high, he is in a position to control the destiny of mankind without their knowledge... or to run their civilization into the ground.
    Concept art
    Preview toy - robot mode
    Preview toy - alt mode
    Preview toy packaging

    Ravage
Alt mode: Cybertronian styled re-entry mode similar to the "comet" protoform modes seen in the first film.
Toy Bio: Bulleting down through the atmosphere at better than 15 times the speed of sound, RAVAGE considers the data he has already amassed on the small, soft creatures that inhabit this planet. They seem weak and fragile, yet they are the ones that destroyed MEGATRON. That is a fact he will keep in mind as he penetrates their most sensitive installation. Against such an unpredictable enemy, stealth will be his watchword.
    Deluxe toy - Panther mode
    Deluxe toy - Re-Entry mode
    CG Promo 1
    CG Promo 2

    Sideways
    Alt Mode: Audi R8
Toy Bio: Back on CYBERTRON, SIDEWAYS was a simple courier who avoided combat at all costs. He tried to always remain in the shadow of larger DECEPTICONS, where the AUTOBOTS might not notice him. On Earth, he's keeping much the same practice. He teamed up with DEMOLISHOR early on, and hopes that if the AUTOBOTS find them, the big CONSTRUCTICON can keep him safe.
    Concept art

    Grindor
    Alt Mode: Pave Low Helicopter.
Notes: Apparently is not Blackout revived. Instead they are reusing the CG model for a new character. Seen with Starscream & Megatron battling Optimus in the ShoWest and Theatrical trailers.
Toy Bio: GRINDOR is a born soldier. He is both a highly talented fighter, and an instinctive strategist. Every moment of a battle is laid out in his head before the first shot is ever fired. He is so talented at anticipating his enemy's moves that he is almost never surprised. Whenever he can, he ensures himself a place at the direct center of a fight so that he can bring his powerful weaponry to bear on the AUTOBOTS around him, destroying as many as he can as quickly as possible.

    Alice
Is a "Pretender", a transformer using a human shell as a disguise. The inner robot is best described as a hybrid of the Frenzy robot design from the first movie. The Pretender Transformer will have an arm that transforms into an energy weapon, a long tongue, and a scanning tenticle. Actress Isabel Lucas plays the part of the human disguise.
    On set robot prop

    Wheelie
Alt Mode: Remote control toy truck.
Toy Bio: Autobot Wheelie never really wanted to be a Decepticon. It's just that, when people start yelling at him, he tends to do whatever they say. He's easily startled, and simple to scare. His tiny size makes him an ideal spy, and even though he doesn't like or agree with the Decepticons, they scare him so much he doesn't know what to do except obey.
    Toy card & bio

    Scalpel
    Alt mode: Microscope
Toy Bio: Scalpel has a massive database of anatomical data for millions of creatures across the universe. He can disassemble anything that doesn't struggle too much in a matter of minutes, and usually puts it back together with only a few parts in the wrong place. He serves as medic to the Decepticon army, but most Decepticons prefer to suffer in silence than allow Scalpel to work on them.

    Demolishor
    Alt Mode: Terex RH400 Excavator
Toy Bio: DEMOLISHOR isn't very bright, but he knows when to fight, and when to run and hide. Arriving on Earth to find Megatron destroyed, hiding seemed like the best option. Since then, he's taken a few smaller Decepticons under his protection, and built quite a little community. It hasn't been easy hiding among the humans that creep like a disease over this planet, but he and his companions are content until a new Decepticon leader emerges to guide them back to glory.
Voyager Class toy - robot mode
Voyager Class toy - excavator mode

    Devastator

6 or 7 construction vehicles merge to form him. . The combiner versions of the toys will only include 6 vehicles.

    CG Promo 1
    CG Promo 2
    CG Promo 3

    The Constructicons include:

    Scavenger (Torso component.)
    Alt Mode: Terex RH400 Excavator
Notes: Same body type/model as Demolishor but is red with white letters and stripes on the excavator mode.

    Long Haul (Right leg component.)
Alt Mode: Caterpillar 773B Dump Truck
Toy Bio: LONG HAUL is too bitter to be an effective soldier on his own. Despite the fact that he is part of one of the most destructive and terrifying DECEPTICON squads of all time, he is too often treated as little more than a cargo hauler. Other DECEPTICONS sling their gear into his bed without a second thought, and order him to carry it around for them. Rather than confront them, he'd rather grumble about it privately, then stop on the way to destroy whatever he's been given responsibility for.
    Concept art
    Concept art - larger
    CG model

    Mix Master (Head/Torso component.)
    Alt Mode: Mack Cement Mixer
Toy Bio: Resident chemist and explosives expert for the elite among the DECEPTICONS, MIXMASTER has spent his entire life learning all there is to know about chemical interaction. He can make thousands of poisons, explosives and deadly gasses from the materials around him. The other DECEPTICONS rely on him to fashion powerful warheads for their missiles, and dangerous venoms in which to coat their blades.
Voyager Class toy - Robot mode
Voyager class toy - truck mode

    Rampage (Left leg component.)
    Alt Mode: Caterpillar D9L Bulldozer
Toy Bio: The stink of diesel fumes and hot tar follows RAMPAGE wherever he goes. His treads are packed with metal shards stripped from his victims and the countless scratches covering his chassis are testament to hundreds of brutal battles. He lives to pound his enemies into submission and thinks of little else. His idea of beauty is the sun glinting off the raw edges of shredded Autobot armor.
Notes: There is another robot using the same CG model as Rampage but is red and does not form part of Devastator. He is seen fighting Bumblebee in the trailers.

    Scrapper (Right arm component.)
Alt Mode: Caterpillar 992G Wheel Loader
    CG Render

    Hightower (Left arm component.)
Alt Mode: Kobelco CK2500 Truss Crane

    Overload
    alt mode: Articulated Hauler

Wheelie toy. I forgot about this guy but he is going to be in the film as a remote control toy truck. He's referred to as "Wheels" in the leaked call sheets.

Bay talking about filming to Collider.com

main points:

• 3 shots in IMAX so far
• got to film actually on the pyramids, first time in 30 years
• more personality and emotion in the transformers
• right now the film is 2 hours 20 minutes, but with more edits to do
• will be doing a 3rd

The arms look strange on the fallen, but I like the nod to Egyptian headwear.

Devastator looks killer to me. The head is strange, but I like the fact that the went a different direction.

My geek thought of the day... how in the world are the Autobots not going to get their a sses handed to them. I have yet to see the counter to these massive Decepticons.

Is this going to be the Empire Strikes Back of the series?

That was my first thought - that the autobots are going to get absolutely destroyed. Unless they use their wits and shit? They do have the entire arsenal of the human race at their disposal, but even nukes don't look to be enough.

I'm not really liking the face but the rest of Devs looks good. Definitely matches the gorilla look that he was reported to have. Hopefully we'll get a good look at all the separate components soon too. Looks like most of the reported info was correct except for the Backhoe vehicle.

Gotta wonder how the Autobots will take this guy down. Optimus and Jetfire are rumored to be able to combine but even a combined form of those two bots would not come anywhere close to matching up to the size of Devastator.

Various toy details and the origin of The Fallen from the newest Toyfare magazine:
• Images of ROTF toys for Leader class Optimus Prime, Preview Bumblebee, Preview Soundwave, and the Voyager Class Starscream figure.

• Lorenzo believes the timeframe of ROTF is about one year after Movie #1.

• When asked about the challenge of creating Devastator on screen, Lorenzo mentions that Bay had the challenge in the first movie of having 30 foot robots. In the second movie, Bay has the challenge of having a robot almost four times that. Expect Devastator to be 100 to 120 feet tall in the movie.

• Archer said he couldn't give away the plot point, but there's a reason that Soundwave is designed the way he is for the movie. Hasbro had a more basic toy need. So, the two were blended together.

• Toy launch date confirmed as May 30th. A few weeks before, Bumblebee and Soundwave will be released.

• Characters mentioned in the initial wave are "Sideswipe, Sideways, Bulldozer, Voyager and many others". Promise of more off-screen characters.

• Robot Heroes will have better articulation

• Bumblebee helmet has voice mixer

• Bumblebee converting pulse cannon

• Big ticket deluxe item for the year is still "top-secret"

• Gravity Bots are geared towards younger kids. Convert automatically when you pick them up.

• A Megan Fox Human Alliance figure is on Archer's "wish list".

The Fallen's origin confirmed:
He is one of the original 13 Transformers. Lorenzo said to think of the 13 as "apostles". The Fallen is the one who turns and is the reason Transformers split into Autobots and Decepticons.

While I'm not feeling on the new StarScream, I'm definately getting Devastator which hopefully is pre-combined. SideSwipe is must have as well.

I noticed Scorponok is back. A lot of the set pieces look similar to the first movie to me. And no, I don't see how the Autobots are going to manage all of the hate coming their way in this. Maybe it'll end on a downer i.e. TESB and we'll get a regrouping in the 3rd movie with Superion and the Dinobots kicking ass.

The first part of that trailer could have either been Armageddon 2 or Pearl Harbor 2. Michael Bay loves the imagery.

I think it looks awesome... I like the dark "revenge" motif... I hope it is rough.

I'm still not jizzed about this. I want to see a Transformers movie in which their battles destroy the surface of earth in the process and the planet is basically turned into one big robot fuckfest.

I kind of like Bay's approach of not wanting to show too much.

I'm stoked. I want a dark balls to the wall transformers.

but if Rodimus shows up with the matrix, Im out.

I want Prime to dish out just as much as he takes.
