heres the whole story of why he read the book so fast IN the video i posted

-he gets some sort of a box, he touches it, it zaps him

-all of a sudden in class (which is a large lecture hall) he goes crazy saying whats wrong in the book and drawing symbols all over his notes and on the board

-i myself have held and seen the astronomy book, its pretty big

-he calls mikaela freaked out, thats where the video comes in from there, he tells her on the phone in another location, 'dont touch the box' so i guess thats what did it to him

-then he draws a lot of symbols and i guess it leads him to the final battle and drawing symbols
he also meets another girl, alice who turns out to be evil and is trying to get all up on him at a party, bumblebee crashes the party and here is the conversation sam has with a frat brother

"hey freshmen!" frat bro

"yea?" sam

"is that ur car parked there?"

"what car?"

"the yellow one on the bushes"

"oh my friend just went to get u a tighter shirt"

"there is no tighter shirt i checked and you dont have any friends... say how about if i park my foot up ur ass!"

sam then stumbles on some bushes outside the party, gets in the car with alice (that girl i mentioned) bumblebee doesnt like her (hence that video with the spinning stop we saw), she gets out with goo on her because of bumblebee then later alice is seen in a courtyard all meniacle looking after some sort of explosion and the trio are running from her

oh yea, he gets a new roomate at college and his name is leo - leo knows or figures out about transformers and they basically kill that new saturn... i think it gets split in two and placed up high on a ledge in a warehouse/factory place, and theres explosions
thats some of what i know happens, hope that helps, this is all the truth

the parents are in france... something bad happens there they all observe a tv in a open air market and people are crying (an old woman is even wearing a biret), a building collapses, and people are fleeing from it and then we see a transformer in france hunting down the parents or protecting them, i dont know

TFW2005 is reporting that The Constructicons will indeed be appearing in RoTF! The Confirmation includes the following details:

- Seven construction vehicles merge to form Devastator
- Devastator has lots of upper body strength, like a gorilla
- Not just green, some of the vehicles are red and yellow
- The previously seen Long Haul concept art by Josh Nizzi is legit

Robert Orci, Transformers writer, is posting on the TFW2005 boards and said that Megatron becoming Galvatron as been discussed and "if" Devastator were to appear that the tranformation would be done "realistically".

Also of note, the concept art from Thundercracker posted in the now last post on the previous page was removed from various site thus confirming it's legitimacy. More images from TF08.net that are getting the take down treatment are TF:ROTF legend-class toy molds confirming the SR-71 is JetFire and the Osprey Helicopter is Incinerator.

How Transformers 2 Ups The Ante

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, the sequel to Michael Bay's giant-robot hit, will go in an entirely new direction: courtroom drama.

"We're doing the trial of Optimus Prime," said co-writer Roberto Orci. "It's actually a legal battle."

Added Orci's partner, Alex Kurtzman: "Actually, we started with My Dinner With Optimus Prime, and then that felt like [that was] a little too small, so then we felt like courtroom would be a great way to [go]."

Orci: "When Megatron comes in as a surprise witness at the end, you're just going to die."

Kurtzman: "You're not going to believe it."

OK, so they're kidding. (At least I hope they're kidding.)

Seriously, Orci and Kurtzman, who drafted the sequel with Ehren Kruger, said they are trying to emulate the sequels they love.

"We loved Superman II, we loved Empire, we loved Aliens," Kurtzman said. "And those were all movies that felt like they truly stood apart from what had come before them in great, great ways."

Orci: "And even though they were bigger, per se, it was not just about that. There really was something else going on."

Transformers 2 will bring back many of the first film's characters while introducing some new ones and raising the stakes for all.

"I think the serious answer to your question is, obviously, people will say, 'Look, the explosions are going to be bigger,' but I think Bob and I felt that it was our job--and continues to be our job--to say, 'It's not really about that, because those things, in a way, are a given,'" Kurtzman said.

Orci added: "Yeah, those things are the easy part."

Kurtzman: "What it's about is making sure the emotional stakes feel like they are at a new place and that this movie has a reason to tell itself beyond just 'The studio wants another Transformers movie.' And a lot of that has to do with 'How do you make this movie more emotional? How does this movie stand out from the first one?'"

Orci: "And now that the Transformers are characters, how do you bring them to life some more?"

Transformers 2 is about a month away from the end of principal photography, the writers said. It's slated to open on June 26, 2009

Damn Megatron 2.0 is hella more awesome than the first version. The only issues I had with the first movie is Megatron's out of scale proportion and also the whole not looking like Megatron thing. In this leaked concept art Megatron 2.0 even has what appears to be a arm-cannon.

New info out of the Hasbro Licensing Summit 2008

The Hasbro Licensing Summit 2008 at Malaysia Kuala Lumpur has revealed the identity of the Chevy Corvette as Sideswipe! The second revelation is confirmation of Ravage in Revenge of the Fallen. Ravage is described as having a very raw beast mode.

Further confirmation of our earlier report of Devastator in the Transformers sequel, as the toys will merge to become a Supreme sized figure.

Images of the Leader-class Optimus Prime and Megatron figures were shown, reconfirming that Megatron does indeed now have a tank as his vehicle mode and that the Optimus Prime figure will be a new mold with a new transformation.

Also a tidbit out of the Hasbro 2009 Italy Brand Preview is that Optimus Prime will combine with Jetfire. No mention if this will be a toy only feature or if it will be happening in the movie as well.

On November 1, Michael Bay announced the end of principal photography. Over at the TFW2005.com, Robert Orci is droping hints and making comments are recent spoilers and leaked images.

The TFW TF2 Insider has confirmed that the character of Alice, as played by Isabel Lucas, in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, is a Pretender.

In the case of Alice, the shell will be an attractive human woman while the inner robot is best described as a hybrid of the Frenzy robot design from the first movie. The Pretender Transformer will have an arm that transforms into an energy weapon, a long tongue, and a scanning tenticle.

On a sidenote, Soundwave's new look is doing nothing for me

While I didn't care much for the first live action film, with the addition of Soundwave, I might be able to enjoy this. Provided his voice isn't Michael Clarke Duncan's or something.

There is new info on the trailer front. transformersLive is reporting that a trailer maybe attached to the The Day The Earth Stood Still on December 12:

In regards to the potential trailer, Cody reports that someone he knows involved with Transformers 2 said they are "90% sure" that the trailer will premiere with The Day The Earth Stood Still which comes out December 12th. They also said the trailer was "finished about a month ago".

Considering that the trailer for Wolverine is debuting with TDTESS, it seems that there is an expectation that the movie will have a demographic that TF2 advertising would be aiming for. It’s also the last big budget popcorn movie of the year so last chance to get the most eyeballs aware that the sequel is coming before year end. After that, it seems to me that the next opportunity will not be until Watchmen in March. After Watchmen, the final theatrical trailer will premiere with Star Trek, no surprise since both are Paramount productions.

No exact dates but he says the teaser trailer will be out early Feb or with Super Bowl XLIII. The teaser poster will be out early Feb and he's planning to release some production stills on his site in the coming weeks.

Megatron looks a lot meaner this time.

More toys are starting to leak out giving us a better look at some of the new designs. These are all the "Fast Action Battler" versions of the toys though which are the smaller, simpler toys for younger kids. No pics for the larger, more movie accurate toys have surfaced yet. It doesn't kill the whole movie franchise for me, but I have to say, I cannot stand the Transformers design of these films. Absolutely ridiculous.

Empire has the first official publicity stills for RotF. Nothing too interesting, but maybe the magazine will have something better.

USA Today has the same pics from the Empire mag plus some new ones.









Tidbits of info from the magazine:

• Bay and LaBeouf confirm the Fallen is a separate character. End of.
• Egyptian hieroglyphics, like the one at the bottom of my post, turn out to be depictions of Transformers who visited Earth.
• Bay claims Megatron is not coming back and the tank is just a new toy. Obvious misinformation, no doubt.

• Around 40 robots.
• Budget is $200 million.

• Ramon Rodriguez is the one holding on for dear life to a pole while cars are flung.
• Devastator appears at the pyramid, he's probably 50 feet tall because that's the height of the camera crane they used on location.

Couple quick comments on the teaser poster, I like how the Fallen's face sort of resembles the Decepticon insignia. Also, looking at the poster with the brightness turned up you can make out the horizontal lines on the side of his head which give him an Egyptian Pharoah like vibe. A rumor is that the Fallen is buried under the pyramid seen in the Empire photos.

Possible Story Points, Superbowl Ad Time and No To Superion

Some new rumors about Transformers 2 for your consumption and discussion. The first comes from AllSpark.com's "Toadimus Prime"

• The film opens with the US Military teaming up with the Autobots, who are the military vehicles, to hunt down rogue Decepticons. Springer is one of them, and this is the part in China.

• Wheels/Wheelie is a blue remote control car and very small Transformer. He discovers Jetfire at the museum by driving underneath him and seeing the Decepticon symbol.

• Alice pins Sam to the bed, and a tail with a hypodermic on it cones out of her back. She also has a giant tongue, apparently.

• The twins are important characters who fight each other a lot and can combine.

• Devastator looks like a gorilla, and has the cement mixer drum in the centre of his chest, which he can use as a weapon.

• Megatron hasn't been in any of the film licensing stuff, just the toys.

• He saw a Decepticon Hot Rod model, but he's convinced that was part of the disinfo campaign.


In addition to the above, "Tawd" reports that someone he knows received some promotional material for Transformers 2 including the new official poster and that the Superbowl trailer is expected to air during halftime (not officially confirmed). In addition, to contradict Toadimus, he reports "that they're going to bring back Megatron and the Starscream/Megatron relationship will be more prominent than it was in the movie and much more like the G1 series. Also, it may be a three way brawl much like the Insecticons fighting Autobots and Decepticons and the Fallen will pose a threat to both sides." (No he isn't saying the Insecticons are in the movie, it is a G1 cartoon reference I believe.)

Apparently IESB.net and WorstPreviews have joined the Superion bandwagon. They are reporting that Superion and Devastator are going to fight in the movie, using the description from the recently leaked toy pictures as a source.

This is a rumor that needs to die a quick death before it gains legs. A repaint from the 2005 Transformers Energon toy line, which doesn't match the movie style in any way shape or form, is not from the movie. If "Superion" was going to be in the movie, they would not re-release a toy with that name, reserving it to match the design used in the movie. Since Hasbro didn't its safe to say that the character is not in the movie.

A bunch of Transformers toys are being re-released under the "Revenge Of The Fallen" label ala Star Wars "Saga" re-releases under the Legacy moniker. So Superion isn't in and according to Michael Bay neither is Megatron.

Technically no, he was not a real Decepticon but in his G1 introductory episode "Fire in the Sky" he was allied with them briefly before joining the Autobots.

Judging from some the details of the RoTF toy (scratched out Decepticon insignia and he's supposed to combine with the Optimus toy) it might be similar to the cartoon in that he starts off as a Decepticon then joins the Autobots. Or maybe he could be a double agent? Just speculating.

Wonder if he's going to be friends with Starscream still.

Here's a brief interview from IGN with writer Orci:

IGN: Last time we spoke, you revealed that Soundwave was in the movie and hinted at the possibility of Ravage, so I'm wondering if you can say anything more about what new characters will be in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Orci: So I said Ravage... maybe?

IGN: Pretty much, yeah.

Orci: [As if giving a big reveal] Ravage!

IGN: [Laughs] Damn, I should have told you that you said Ravage for sure!

Orci: Hmm… I'll give you an exclusive here. There is a Pretender. I'm going to get killed for saying that.

IGN: Well thank you for taking one just for us.

Orci: All for you.

IGN: Storywise, how does the sequel compare to the first one?

Orci: It's an extreme [jump] from the first one. The outrageous, crazy humor is more outrageous, but then so is the serious side of it and so is the stakes of the Transformers plot and the seriousness with which some of their mythology is treated. So it kind of swings wildly between those two extremes, and that I think was one of the successful parts of the first movie. Again, some of the die hard fans will be equally annoyed at some of the things they see, but I can also say they will be more gratified than they were for the first one, to see how some of the Transformers story and how their battle takes place in the second one.

IGN: There was a leaked image the other day of a Sideswipe toy. I don't even know if Sideswipe is in the movie, since the toys sometimes include extra characters, but the look of this toy was more like the original Transformers than the first film. On the design side, are the Transformers looking the same in this one, or are there some tweaks?

Orci: Well, you know, your favorites – Optimus and Bumblebee – look the same. Some of the new Transformers coming up, even the old Transformers that we had, have benefited from the fact that -- I actually heard this from ILM -- because they had all the rendering and the stuff from the first movie, they were able to get much more specific and articulate with their range of motion and emotions in the second movie, which has a bigger budget and it has all that research and development sunk into the original models. So there's going to be more articulation of the characters facially, so I'm looking forward to seeing that. I have not seen how far they've taken it.

Although it hasn't been confirmed one way or the other, the Audi R8 is supposedly the reformatted form of Barricade. You can see the resemblances in the head and the wheels on his forearms. Personally, Barricade was one of my favorites from the first movie because of his robot design and that he was a Mustang. So while I'm glad he's back for the sequel, I'm not too thrilled that he'll have a new form.

Yes, it doesn't make sense - especially given that Audi is owned by VW which nixed the use of the New Beetle design for BumbleBee. The current Mustang either just got or will get a mild re-design and should have been used for consistency. Another vehicle that doesn't make sense is the use of the Centennial Corvette Concept, which will be SideSwipe in ROTF - the concept is just a one-off and will never see production.

Also there is the new Dodge Challenger that just came out that would have made a damn fine Transformer.

Toy tidbits:

• Devastator will be around about 2 feet tall and built like a gorilla.

• The Human Alliance Bumblebee that we have been seeing recently will be the first release in his range.

• No toys of the Fallen at present.

• There will be new Robot Replicas of Ironhide, Ratchet and Starscream.

• More information on the RPM - Robot Powered Machines - line. The cars are "Hot Wheels style" and are mainly Autobots, with their robot modes embossed on the bottom. The racetrack has tracks all over the place, and instead of the central "mountain" you sometimes see on these tracks, you've got Devastator!

• There will be a radio controlled Optimus Prime truck with Peter Cullen soundclips.

• The tank mode Megatron toy (which version is not specified) was on display, although nobody was available to comment on whether or not he is in the film.


Some footage, featuring animatics, was also shown. If you do not want to be spoiled, look away now!

• Devastator is... devastating! The mixing drum in his chest becomes a massive turbine grinder. It creates a turbine effect, sucking everything in Devastator's path up, and spitting it out of his back.

• Wheelie is effectively confirmed as a remote controlled car, in line with other rumors we have heard recently.

• Legions of Decepticon drones, resembling Frenzy, will cause carnage in the Witwicky household.

• Sam fights for his life on top of a car against Pretender Alice.

• Captain Lennox also gets to see some serious action against the Decepticons, with full helicopter backup.
