The problem with the Star Wars prequels is they have no human interest.

I don’t care about the Separatists because they are silly looking and are mind numbingly stupid.

I don’t care about the battle droids because they are impersonal machines.

I don’t care about the clones because they are all basically the same heartless killer that Jango was, and have little to no human emotion.

I don’t care about the Jedi because they are practically invincible and don’t have much emotion either.

I don’t care about the Republic because it is for the most part made up of ugly, corrupt politicians.

So basically, I’m watching a huge battle between stupid lizard men, robots, clones, politicians and emotionless super-humans. Big whoop. At least in the OT you could cheer for the Rebels. They were real, flawed, emotional humans beings. The Episode I battles at least had some human interest with the Naboo guards and pilots. I mean, C’mon Lucas, the majority of your new characters are emotionless. Star Wars has become more machine than man now, just like someone else we all know ...

I'm kind of happy and kind of sad that this post got moved into reservation. Part of me wanted to give a serious reply about the PT enhancing the OT (watch them all back to back sometime if you don't believe me). And while some fans may have found the PT so far removed from what they expected/wanted to see from Episodes I-III that they never really gave them a chance, the fact that it was a completely different era demanded that it feel dramatically different as well.

The other part of me wanted to find sande561 and give him a hug because his witto' feewins got hurted by duh big mean Lucas man and his mean bad moovies, waaaahhh etc.

I feel mildly dumber for having posted this, fyi. This thread needs more porn.
