So Saturday my friend Joe and I go to Costco's and he applies for an American Express card which he was approved for $2,000 and he got himself a new laptop and gave me his old one. Anyways when we were there I asked if he could put on the card the iPod Touch 16GB model that I really wanted and in return I'd pay him back for it. He said ya and so I get back to their place (since I'm visiting them right now until March 9th) and we both check it out and everything and I manage to get a few scores downloaded onto my laptop.

So I get the scores onto it and check it out and all I can say is DAAAAYMN, this thing rocks big time. The audio quality completely blows my Creative Zen out of the water. In fact it's so powerful I can't have the volume up all the way or it will be way too loud. I know that sounds crazy but it's true. I love how you can surf the internet with it and when you're listening to music you can view the cover flow by turning the iPod sideways.

Navigation for this iPod is very easy and it's just simply outstanding. I read a lot of people saying that they hate having to look at the mp3 player all the time when changing tracks or albums or whatever. I mean then why get it if you don't like it? That's what the whole touch-only interface is about. I personally don't mind looking at the iPod all the time when I want to change to a different album.

It's also cool to be able to go straight to YouTube and watch clips on there.

The only thing though when you're browsing the internet make sure you have the WIFI turned off when you're done or else it'll eat up your battery power with out hesitation.

Anyways enough of my ramblings, but I honestly would recommend this thing to anyone who was looking for a good iPod.

I know that Apple came out with a 32GB model but $500 was out of my price range and plus 16GB's is plenty for me since I'm only going to have a few selected complete scores onto it. I'm not going to have every single bit of my score collection onto it.

I got a new 80gb Classic for X-Mas and the sound quality is poorer than the last generations. It's also slow as shit with the new interface. The Touch honestly didn't interest me in the least. Sounds cool though.

Not really interested in an iPod touch. It looks good and all, but in the end it's a lot of money for just an mp3/video player with a low capacity.

Although when I know my post-september job situation, I might consider an iPhone. I just bought a MacBook Pro a couple of months back, so it seems logical to turn myself into a pretentious Apple arsehat.

It beats the hell out of using an OS that gets worse with every new version.

People hated XP when it first came out too. I have to use both operating systems in my field of work, and I'd take DOS 5.0 over OSX any day.

And I still hate it. Windows 95 was the best version of Windows.

Win98SE was even better. Though after serious configuration I would say WinXP x64bit edition (based on Win2003 server) rocks.
