I love what they've done with the Bat-Symbol there the blue tint is what I was picking before this thing even kicked off the whole cooler-colour-motif they've gone for moving on from the Brown/Yellow of the last film.

Something that struck me when I saw this poster for the first time: It look like Batman is in a prison. The windows look like prison bars to me as if either he is imprisoned or Gotham is. Any thoughts on this? Or am I just reading too much into this magnificent new poster.

Now that is truly awesome. :monocle: I haven't felt like this about a movie poster since Episode I.

I agree with you, Red-Eye Knight. Something is definitely being conveyed there. A self-made prison juxtaposed with what is still a crime ridden city is my take.

In the literal sense, don't forget that Wayne Manor still hasn't been rebuilt yet and he operates mostly from his penthouse apartment in Gotham. If there is a scene of him standing in front of those windows in the suit for a moment, taking in the skyline like that, well, I'm going to flip.

Hell - freakin' - yes.

That is the coochie right there. Now I need to make a different desktop again.

I have said ever since BEGINS that they needed to color theme the movies, too. I saw the whole blue tint thing when the first logo image hit the net. I'm thrilled to death.

Surprised this wasn't posted yet. But AICN posted a link to a bootlegged video from a cellphone of the trailer. Kind of watchable but here it is non the less. It'll do until a better quality version becomes available.

The trailer had maybe one too many gratuitious explosions but the did have The Joker spittin some great one-liners. The batpod works for me :yay:

The more I listen, the more Ledger's joker (laugh, at least) sounds like Hamill's joker. I like it, though.

wow, just wow.

breathtaking and symbolic. reminds me of the Tatooine Binary Sunset

i liked the the domestic posters but those international posters are something else-- a whole different level of talent and thought went into making those :heavymetal: .

you're right. other than the fact that its very cinematic, its also symbolic on different fronts: one is that its a different take on the classic Batman watching over Gotham pose, and second it features the theme of the movie where Bruce Wayne is starting to feel the weight of being the city's lone guardian and that he has imprisoned himself with his decision to fight it alone.

fantastic! and just when i thought i couldnt get more hyped up for this movie :metal:

The quality is bad (to put it mildly), but it should tide us over until a better copy makes its way online.

Saw it last night at IMAX. Absolutely wonderful. I thought I couldn't get more hyped for this movie. I love that people in the audience might not have realized it was the preview of The Dark Knight until 5 minutes in (if they didn't notice the DC Comics logo at the beginning anyway). That is what is great about Chris Nolan. He doesn't try to make superhero movies. He tries to just make great movies.

Fantastic trailer. I need higher quality images, though. I'm going desktop crazy!!!!

I can't wait for a better res of this trailer.

BTW, saw the IMAX prologue, and it left me wholly unsatisfied. I WANT MORE. I was all ready to watch the rest of the movie after those few minutes. It was SO good. I loved it. LUV'D IT. It is well worth the price of an admission ticket.

ARGH! That makes the decision much more difficult. I have the option of seeing it in either IMAX or regular. I want to see both the trailer and the footage on the big screen.

Your description is very useful given the sound and video quality of the cams. I find myself reading it after viewing the IMAX prologues.

I love this trailer.

I SO can't wait. My excitement for this film is far greater than SUPERMAN RETURNS, TRANSFORMERS or even INDIANA JONES next year. Heck, I almost think my excitement rivals REVENGE OF THE SITH.

Fantastic work.

I am really starting to love Ledger's Joker. His voice, laugh...everything is brilliant. I really think we'll soon forget Jack's Joker in this new world. It really is THAT incredible. His laugh is perfect.

So this is shaping up to be the best Batman movie... looks like Ledger is going to steal the show. But what do we know about Harvey Dent? Is he going to be Two-Face at all in this movie? If he spends some time after the transformation, its crazy that we haven't seen any of him yet. Imagine how cool he'll be!
