They put a bunch of the newer figures and McQuarrie series up. I pre-ordered the Concept Obi-Wan Picard and Yoda set.

Last night (Wednesday) I finally found Visionaries Grievous. Up next maybe is the Concept Grievous from StarwarsShop.com to go with him. Now the only hard to find figgas I need to get are Revan and Malak.

Hi-Res Wave 5 @ GalacticHunter.com

When I was out and about I seen a lone Hermi Odle along with a bunch of Yoda with TaunTauns which means Wave 5 is hitting our area after Wave 6 hit. It's been reported that the coin pack-ins are the reason for the the out-of-order wave shipping and why figgas are so hard to come by along with the months long delays.

With Christmas coming up, we should have a glut of figures coming. They're still shipping up to wave 4 of figures, so chances should be good for everyone. I've found 1 Revan at a Kohl's and I've never seen a Malak.

I got Umpass-Stay, Jabba's Drummer. Also ordered Salacious Crumb with C-3PO (fuck the 3PO, Crumb is the shit), Hermi Odle and CZ-4 from Hasbro Toy Shop. They will make a fine addition to my Jabba's palace collection. I'm currently hunting for the Ewok 2-pack and upcoming Destroyer Droid, R2-B1 and Jabba's band packs.

I was very pleased to score a McQuarrie Snowtrooper and McQuarrie Vader at Wal Mart.

The new stormtrooper basic figure is really nice too. His proportions are perfect, he is highly poseable, and his helmet is removeable.

Finally able to score a McFett. Walmart must have been holding cases, walked in, they had a new side cap with at least 7 cases on the pegs, tons of McFetts, McSnowTroopers and everything. I almost feel over.

I finally got my Revan, Malak & Concept Grievous and woah, the Revan is the breasts. They look great, really good sculpts money well spent, I'm pretty much done with the Anniversary collection now, got a few others a few Biggs Darklighter's and a few others, but generally speaking it's easily been the best figure release ever for collectors thats for sure.

I'm looking forward to seeing some more KOTOR figure releases which will be awesome, I think there is a Darth Nihilus on the way, is that right?

Be cool to get an HK, Bastila & so forth...few of the light side characters would be awesome.

Yeah, Nihilus and Bane are coming in a Sith Evolutions set.

Rumor has it that the Arc-170 battlepack is out and about.

Picked up the tit-taecous 12" McFarlane Twisted Oz. The back of the Twisted Oz box featured the 6" Twisted Christmas collection, of which I may pick up the following:

ImageImage

Ms Claus
Jack Frost

Also opened up my 12" Ultimate Bumblebee. This fucker is awesome and should be for the price. The little cocksucker even randomly fired a missle at me!

Toys R Us will be open at 5am this Black Friday since I usually take a nap after Thanksgiving dinner and will for most of the A.M. hours, will head on down the street for a 5:30am trip report.

Nice find.

I just found the Marvel Select Phoenix figure from Silvestri's New X-Men book series. Got the regular and the variant, though no one seems to know which is which. Right now, they're saying that the flesh colored one is....shrug

Here's a shot of the whole line. The Emma Frost figure's not half bad either, I might pick her up too.

Image

Finally, the Hoth/Endor battle packs started showing up in my neck of the woods they look great, but I don't know about 50 for a bunch of repacks.

After seeing them up close-up... The Ultimate Hoth Battle Packs are

I just may pick the Battle Packs after viewing them in person. Although, initially I was going to pass due to the plethora of walkers out this season, the Turrent looked like a outhouse. In person, the Turrent was gigantic and had John Ratzenberger from Cheers popping out of the top!

Anyway my final thanksgiving haul is: 12" inch McFarlane Twisted Oz.

Also tonight I picked up another Holiday Special Fett and McQuarrie Vader because I didn't like the first two's joints.

I think both Battle Packs suck. Cool accessories aside, if the figures aren't poor, the paint jobs are. Really, I think they need to ditch the vintage molds for the AT-ST and speeder bikes. That AT-ST isn't even accurate to ROTJ. What's with the midget Rebel soldier and repainted 1990's Ewoks? How do figures this atrocious still get released?

There are issues with the Ultimate Battle Packs.

• $50 a pop
• Luke Skywalker w/ Obi-Wan Kenobi's Light Saber
• Snowtrooper armour that apparently have "skid marks" ( :whateva: )
• One Snowtrooper has no removable helmet.
• Endor Battle Pack has a "African-American" Ewok. :what:

The Packs are great for those who haven't picked up (like myself) a AT-ST, the VTAC Fett Removable Helmet Snowtroopers, or the Speederbikes.

After school I dropped by the Targets and the Packs still look impressive upon second viewing. The AT-RT battlepacks were miniscule in comparison. Also seen one lone tiger-striped ARC-170 and one Tie-Bomber Exclusive which comes in a big ass box.

I'm thinking for Christmas I'm going to get the Target exclusives: Hoth Ultimate Battle Pack and Tie-Bomber (if any are left), along with the ToysRUs exclusive Tie Interceptor (there will be some of these left). The Tie-Bomber comes with a primitive 1990's era pilot while the Interceptor comes with a modern sculpted pilot

The Target Tie-Bomber and the ToysRUs Tie-Interceptor are white-ish with the latter having a red-stripe across the wings because apparently it is piloted by Eddie Van Halen.

So what do you guys plan to get for Kwanzaa?

I'm really diggin' that tie interceptor. I've seen them on the shelves and it didn't have the dough or the urge to spring for it. Hopefully there will be some left after the rollidays.
There is a lot of cool shit out that I'd like to get, but I'm waiting for the sales. And I'm saving up to buy a couple a' Grievous Starfighters once they come out in January-ish.

I did find a Concept Snowtrooper and a Darth Revan hidden under some GI Joe Sigmas at the store the other day, w3rd.

Actually, whoever hid them just warmed this collectors hart a wee bit. I saw the same fig's at a 'specialty' shop in one of the bigger malls around here for $12.99, and I paid reg retail for them.

I am actually getting thoroughly annoyed at the way some of these "Collectibles and Sports Memorobillia" type shops go around and buy up all the cool Star Wars shit and then sell it for ridiculous prices. I have looked everygoddamnedwhere for the Concept figures, and 2 of them I most wanted (Vader and Solo) are on thier shelves for $30 (wtf?!?). Cocksuckers.

Have you visited Suncoast video recently? I saw a McFett there for 14.99 for a regular figure. I thought, well, it's a McFett but no, that's their regular price for all starwars figure and that's a regular retailer.

Wow. I must really being getting the deal when I buy figures for $7.00 and some change at WalMart, Target, and ToysR'Us. And I've bought a shitload of figures from those places. I am kind of a penny pinching tightwad asshole, however. I've been lucky enough to find and buy a couple of Stormtroopers (red shocktrooper and blue 501st) on sale for $5.

My latest purchases are still in a bit of disarray, however.

I only do Star Wars and the occasional Marvel figures. There are a few Titanium series ships in that photo, but the bulk of the vehicles are elsewhere.

WWE was never really my thing. I prefer Bruce Lee movies for my "fighting without fighting" fix, thank you very much. And yes, I am still waiting for a decent Bruce Lee figure to hit the shelves.

Speaking of heinous overpricing, Toys "R" Us has the new shielded Destroyer Droid in stock for the low price of $8.99. I guess they conclude because a basic figure comes with an accessory they should charge a couple bucks more? $15 is insane, but what the fuck is up with this?

Image

I recently picked up the Saga Legends (which is flooding the pegs in place of the TAC line, by the way) Episode I TC-14. Aside from a lazy eye, a very cool looking figure. If I'm not mistaken the silver protocol droid was on the blockade runner in the original Star Wars and was the "E Chu Ta" droid at Bespin. So really, this is multiple characters.

Same problem here. Hasbro's stance of 'different SKUs means different shelf space' has been proved wrong. My local toy store recently received 8 cases of the new TAC waves, which I was lucky enough to peruse, but has not put them on the pegs because of the clusterfuck that is Saga Legends.

The ROTJ/EU waves are starting to show around here in vast quantities. Toys "R" Us was loaded with Hermi Odles, Pre-Cyborg Grievous, McQuarrie Hero and Fett, etc. I went to a few Targets and finally found a Legends Sandtrooper with rifle. I'm so tired of seeing the ones with the Dewback prods or whatever those sticks are supposed to be. The rifle one rocks.

Well today I got an unusual yet awesome haul.

Since the Live-Action Series is going to feature X-Wing and TIE-Fighter Pilots - I have been getting into X-Wings and TIE-Fighters. Off of eBay I ordered a Saga 2006 Large-Scale Wing TIE-Fighter for the low price of $30.00. Today the TIE(s) both got here - yes I was sent two of them! So I promptly relisted and sold the other essentially getting the vehicle for free.

Since this is the last day of my semester and since I made it though... I got the Toys R Us Y-Wing and picked up the Baron Fel ComicPack to pilot my new TIE-Fighter since the pack-in figga was the old 1990's style TIE-Pilot. Total:

• Large-Scale TIE-Fighter
• Y-Wing (Toys R Us Exclusive)
• Baron Fel Comic Pack to pilot TIE Fighter
• Luke Skywalker Comic Pack to pilot Y-Wing

Also I noticed remants of the Attack Of The Clone Wave and all the Hoth Ultimate Battle Packs appear to be selling out :(

I went to Wal-Mart and (finally) scored some Super Battle Droids for $5.88 a piece. :heavymetal: Four, to be exact. I actually went there for the Max Rebo Band, which I didn't find, but was pleasantly surprised to see the place was stocked with Ewoks, Droids and loads of other figures. Also, my R2-B1 came in from Hasbro Toy Shop. This guy rocks.

Yeah I kind of went on a binge awhile back and got the Icons Thor, Hulk, Wolverine and Captain America. The only other one I really want is Dr Doom. But that seems to be rare, on store shelves anyway.

At one of our Toys R Us there were three black queens and I'm starting to see the Jabba Band's battlepacks at our Wal*Mart's also. I must say figures look much better than the actual scene from the film.

On Monday I picked up another McQuarrie Fett and the original Orange Airborne Trooper for only $5.98 each. Tonight I scored two from the Attack Of The Clones wave: Deleted Scenes Fett and Bondage Padme. :monocle:

Rebelscum.com 411 for 2008 Report. According to RebelScum we can expect the AT-TE, which was confirmed by other sites reporting it's Target DCPI number, and a retooled Millennium Falcon. Hasbro posted a "Don't Believe The Hype" response to the report on it's website.

Looks like a ton of toy is coming this way for 2008 which will make up for this years lack of product. There was the Transformers line and the 30th Anniversary Collection but Transformers can't keep up with demand and the Star Wars product while hot, was somewhat meager in this post movie, pre television era. Also very little from McFarlane and Marvel.

 Kinky slut. That's not an insult, fyi. I like kinky sluts.

On a side note, I did end up finding an Icons Dr. Doom. I brought him home, took him out of the box, and placed him on the mantle. The next day (like, 4 days ago) I came home from work and found that he had fallen off said mantle, and upon hitting the floor, broken off his left hand. Nuts. Maybe I can pose my figga's in a way that makes it look like the Hulk ripped it off or something.

Well my Christmas haul consisted of

• Toys R Us Elite TIE Interceptor:
• Target TIE Bomber
• The Saga Collection Death Star Gunner (to pilot Tie Bomber)
• The Anniversary Collection Mustafar Lava Miner
• 12 Inch SideShow Bespin Luke Skyywalker

Tomorrow I might go huntin for some more as there usually are some returns of the Toys R Us-Target exclusives. The TIE Bomber was the last one on the shelves and all of the Ultimate Battle Packs were gone.

The TIE's have red kill marks on the hulls. :yay:

I think 2008 is finally the year for me to give up the Star Wars line. For two reasons: First, I moved into a new apartment and state, I'm short on cash, and my oversized collection is boxed up at a friend's house across the country. Second, there's just to much new product. I've been collecting regularly since 1995, and the line has come to the point where I can't keep up with 60+ basic figures, a dozen comic packs (which are all awesome I might add), battle packs, vehicles, exclusives, mail-aways...

I know there are those that pick and choose, and that's what I did for the latter part of '07, focusing mainly on the McQuarrie series. But with The Force Unleashed, evolutions packs, AT-TE and The Clone Wars on the horizon, I predict there's going to be too much cool stuff to pass up.

Right now I'm thinking of trading in for the upcoming Indy line, which looks to be spectacular and considerably smaller.

So woe to me, and hopefully a year will give me a chance to settle my life down and recharge my Star Wars batteries.

That sucks man, though I completely understand. I've had to cut back considerably from what I was picking up. To add fuel to it, Target is talking about raising prices to 7.64 a fig for basic line. Talk about raping the collectors.

Scored the 2008 ComicPacks including the awesome Airborn Trooper & Galactic Marine along with the Revenge Of The Sith Twins which was part of a huge After-Christmas haul.

I'll edit in some images and comments about the state of 2008 collecting when I sober up I know you can't wait. :whatevaho:

Even though I am not a completist I had a similiar problems. I would get two or even three of the same figure or vehicle. Just in case something broke or because I like said cool figure so much. This tended to drain my cash flow and make storage a problem.

The only way you can collect, that is not go broke and not run out of room in your living space, is to be a non-completist and get only the cool stuff. I understand why you got it and why you wanted to get it because I even flirted getting it but at the end of the day one does not need the Darth Vader Coin Album.

This year, for me wasn't keeping up with massive line, it was finding the cool figures of the line in our area. Our area, North East Florida has four Toys R Us and Super-Walmarts/Super-Targets every 20 miles but the shelves were stripped bare of Star Wars and Tranformers save for usual Battledroids, Obi-Wan Kenobis, and Mace Windus. Most likely due to a combination of explosive population growth and scalpers. In the end, the bare shelves ending up saving me money and curing my obsessive army-building.

Another unintended benefit of the recent lines being so awesome is that it made the 1990's stuff and in my opinion, the old school vintage stuff obsolete. Last November I pretty much either gave away, thrown away, and donated my vintage and 1990's stuff. The 1990's and even some Episode I product just looked primitive next to the 30th line and it was worth more to reclaim space I didn't enjoy anymore with stuff I did enjoy. Besides the post-movie explosive sales and re-releases along with the upcoming television series means no more 1985 to 1995 depression.

As I sometimes say I can't believe I wrote all that shit but all that brings me to this:

Cryostar wrote:

lol I was pretty  last night but what I wanted to post was the awesome product coming out in 2008. Including the AT-TE and a new $150 re-designed Millennium Falcon vehicle which is awesome because last November 2007 I had donated all of my 1990's Milennium Falcons.

Kind of iritating how they keep pushing back the 3/4in Grievous Starfighter. I swear I'm buying a fucking squadron of them when they finally come out. And allthough my ESB-era Falcon has always been the heart of my whole collection, something makes me think that $150 version is going to make it home and send my original to a closet somewhere.

It just feels like such a waste, keeping that big assed box for 20+ years, to just get rid of it.

Thanks for posting the line-up, however. :heavymetal:

Loads of cool shit to look forward to. I sure hope they dish out those tax checks pretty quick.

:bankheadbounce2: scored most of the 2008 Wave I except for Green Trooper and Kashyyyk Trooper because none were left. Also didn't bother getting Obi-Wan (not a fan) and the Walrus Man (Po Nudo) will be picked up when I score the Troopers.

The Tri-Droid: That thing is HUGE!. Look at the size of that thing! :XD:

The middle image is from a RS.com member: The droid formerly known as "Octopurra Droid" is posed with the smexy lil White Poncho Airborne Trooper and Snow Marine.

Some of the Super WalMarts have a separate black trays that are set up on aisle endcaps. I found mine by accident when we were passing by the girls toys away from the action figga aisle. Return Of the Jedi Wave 7 2007 and Attack Of The Clones Wave 8 2007 are both shipping with the new wave. I seen plenty of Deleted Scenes Jango Fett and Return Of The Jedi Hayden Christensens.

Since times are tight I was reluctant to splurge but since Wave 3 is pushed back till Fall and The Force Unleashed Wave doesn't do it for me thought I would go ahead get them while I could.

Reviews:

2-1B: More like Mini-Me - Very small.

Panning Droid: Do not assemble while  Panning Droid has no directions. The Droid itself has Sebulba-like limbs. The larger limbs hold the :weed: bowl. The smaller arms (or legs) attach to two holes in the lava's frontend. The smaller legs have to be straightened so the :weed: bowl bottom can touch the ground to support the weight of any figure placed on the droid's head.

Tri-Droid: Made the mistake and assembled while  (ps huge)

Yeah, the Legacy figures are pretty :heavymetal:

And while I didn't go crazy and buy the fleet like I wanted to, I did get a Grievous Starfighter which is muy dope as well.
