Chris Ellis. How many damn films has this guy played some Government Guy? It's got to be some kind of a record.

24 according to imdb. That's roles that are Military, Government or Police related.

If anyone has the opening scene with Blackout please post.

Coolest. Intro. Ever.

That moment where the props stop, slowly flip back.....then silence....then the classic transformation sound....then all of a sudden BAM: A helicopter turns into a giant fucking robot.

Wow. I went to see it for a third time with a buddy who hadn't seen it and his mouth was dropped that whole scene.

I'll see it once more, only because it just opened digitally.....and I'm a huge, huge dork.

Saw this on Sunday. Big fucking robot destruction was cool and all, but overall I wasn't really impressed by this one. It was kind of boring, storywise. Sure there was a lot of action, and I'm usually okay with disengaging my brain-pan for action films, but I honestly didn't give a shit about any of the characters.

Maybe it's just me, I was having a lousy day on Sunday. I'll give it another shot, but it wasn't really the knuckle-busting slobberknocker I was jonesing for. Way better than Spiderman 3, however.

Finally saw it. I very much enjoyed the film. I enjoyed the story and some of the action. Unfortunately Michael Bay did his best to fuck up the action scenes by filming all close and shaky like he always does. Despite that, I still liked it a lot.

My favourite transformation of the movie is Ironhide's while he evades the rockets.

Maybe the coolest action shot ever.

Yes, indeed it is.

Too much of a good thing? I don't think so.

Most certainly not. In fact, I applaud Mr. Bay's ability to combine:

Giant Robot doing a flip while firing a gun and dodging rockets.
Explosions
and
Slow motion pass over of a busty brunette in a low cut summer dress.

That take's skill.

The cannon-blast as a springboard during the flip was a nice touch too.

My favorite transformation is when Bonecrusher and Optimus are speeding down the highway after leaving the dam - just flip out when they're going about 80. That's boner-inducing stuff right there.

Na, it's all about Optimus' decapitation of Bonecrusher under the freeway with the "Don't fsck with me" attitude.

Transformers is going to be released on IMAX September 21! Not only that but it's supposedly going to have additional footage not seen in the theatrical print. :funky:

This should have been more fleshed out. In itself, it's pretty awesome.

Wonder if they're throwing in another decepticon death. That's my hope....they spread it out so there's 30 seconds here and there over the entire movie, I'll be less happy.

I saw the first IMAX screening here in San Francisco. This is the movie to see on the big-big screen. Prime's voice literally shakes the entire building, and I will admit that I popped a boner while studying every freckle on Megan Fox's body.

Yeah, no really big new scenes. John Turturro has a bunch of new lines, and there's a good gag with Rachael Leigh Cook's drug ad. Other than that it's little stuff spread throughout the film.

If you live near an IMAX theater you must catch this, sooner rather than later.

And you didn't throw up from the shaky close-ups of Michael Bay's action scenes?

Does anyone know if there's a list of the IMAX carriers right now? My local IMAX has opted to continue showing Harry Potter instead of Transformers....bastiches.

You can type your zip code in at the official IMAX site to get a listing of theaters in your area and the films they are currently showing. The IMAX theater near me is still showing HP too. Oh well, the dvdrip I'm currently downloading will be good enough for me, it's slow going though.

I'd rather see a bunch of people dressed up as Stormtroopers, Darth Vader, Jedi, Sith, Maul and Palpatine instead of Transformers. That looks down right scary...

Megan Fox? She doesn't have to say anything....just a couple of beauty shots.

Oh yeah, and I want to know what happened to the Mountain Dew machine.

Megan fox can just stand there, look pretty. Like she did for 60% of the last film, she can get her "empowered-woman" thing on if she has to, but just give me enough side-boob and I'm fine....
