Any chance that you have saved the video? Says file is no longer available. YouTube removed it all ready.

There's a 23 minute HBO Transformers First Look at Mininova. Great quality and lots of new footage...

edit: well, maybe not a lot... :)

These were shown at Botcon along with many other concept movie art, design boards for Arcee and Stryker who were originally slated to appear in the movie but were dropped from the script. The designs were still used for the toys though as Stryker became Wreckage who is out now and Arcee will be released later in the summer.

Love em both, though arcee's feet look a bit big. Wrecker look nice, through, I keep wanting to think of Brawl.

So, who's going to the 8pm show tonight? I'm going to head out and get in line around 7pm. If it's sold out when I get there, the local theater has a 9:30pm show as well. So one way or another, I'll be seeing it tonight and if I get a chance I'll post my review in the separate review thread.

Super High Res shots of Prime and Starscream! These have been on the official movie site but in jumbled pieces and some pieces were missing. They are now complete. I didn't put these together, a poster by the name of Solid Alexei over at the TFW2005 boards did.

Previews:

Optimus Prime.zip

I hope they include versions of these for the rest of the characters some time.

Q & A with screenwriters Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman on the official movie boards

Some interesting tidbits mentioned including that there will be an extended cut DVD.

I won a few of these movie design boards off ebay so just thought I'd share some high-res scans of them here. Enjoy.

I have the old die-cast Voltron on my big screen downstairs. But my little girl pulled the arm off of G1 Optimus and I lost the car that went to the trailer. Oh well.

Ben Procter, the lead robot illustrator for the Transformers Movie, has added a bunch of concept art and QT movies to his site. There's a lot of really great looks at some early concepts, alternate and unused designs and other cool artwork. (The site is very slow at the moment)

The descriptions indicate many of the same concept design guys who worked the SW PT helped contribute to Transformers. I didn't know that but that's cool. Hasbro needs to make a toy of the Dewbot pronto.

Here's a Megaupload link with all the TF material.

Optimus End Monologue

Blackout Transformation

The attack on the Qtar base is one of my favourite action scenes, maybe ever. That final shot of Blackout taking out the runway with pulse blasts is gorgeous.

DVD News:

http://www.michaelbay.com/blog/files/transformers-dvd.html#unique-entry-id-139

QUOTE: Nelson here.

The Transformers DVD...when does it come out you ask. What's it gonna have? What I can tell you is this: there will be 2 versions:

1. A regular version with no extras (just a director commentary).

2. A multi-disc version with the movie w/ director's commentary and additional disc(s) with tons of extra stuff.

Transformers will also be available on HD-DVD and Blu-ray formats.

Bad news for those of us waiting for Jablonsky's score...According to Sony Music, they have no immediate plans to release the soundtrack.

Death will be swift thats bullshit, release the score already even though it was really a "best of Michael Bay Temp Score" ranging from Armegeddon to The Island it had some beautful cues, like the one when the Autobot "Metorites" hit the earth and Optimus crawls out of the swimming pool.

Hope you all don't mind but I split-merged the script posts and unlocked Transformers The Movie Script Prime Directive thread. Also split all toy related posts into: Transformers The Movie Toys. Don't forget the Transformers The Movie Review(s) thread.

Yes we have four Transformers threads but two will be moved eventually into the Movies and Collecting forums. Feel free to post whatever you want in any of them.

Whats interesting is theknightshift blog is run by TheForce.net's Chris Knight. Knight registered here and sent us a email leading to this thread A Former TheForce.net Staffer Tells All.
