This 0-day comics thing really looks to be taking off here. I'm wondering what the main source is, bittorrent or mIRC? I'm really digging getting into comics again like this. I use to collect comics back in the 90's. I still have Spawn 1-100. I think my rarest would be a #1 Sandman from DC Vertigo or maybe Amazing Spiderman #41, first appearance of Rhino!

Keep up the work DP!

it got me back in to collecting comics. I started by getting a subscription at my local store to just star wars titles. Now I have all spider man series, all the civil wars titles, Fantastic 4's, and I pick up a few random others. It's been probably 15 years or more since I bought comics and now I am buying a shitload, all oretty much because of the forum here. I think it was especially the star wars republic series that got me back into it.

I don't really buy many comic books these days. But I do buy a lot of collectibles. I have a lot of old comics, mostly X-Men and Spiderman. I do have a lot of weird ones as well, like Godzilla and several movie adaptations, such as the Giant sized Star-Wars comics and the first issue of the Blade-Runner series. I got these when I was a kid, though, not realizing the value they would come to have. Unfortunately, some silly-puddy tear-away's and marker moustaches later, I have basically made them worthless, except to me as momentos.

i hear ya troy, I shudder to think at the money I could've made with comics and toys I had. All the star wars, GI Joe's, Transformers. The other day Voltron came on TV when I was getting ready for work and reminded me that I had both Voltrons and what cool toys they were. The lions were actually pretty heavy duty and sturdy. I bet they would be worth a few bucks today as well. I don't even have many of my baseball cards left. I think my mom gave alot away to charity. Some kid that grew up dirt poor is now very wealthy from my toys :|

i still have my starwars toys as well as transformers, and a die-cast Voltron! it's bad ass. They're all out of the box and heavily played with though so they aren't worth too much.

I look at my collection of hundreds of Star Wars toys and comics and realize what a loser I am. I also think of the things I could have afforded instead, like a decent car, classier alcohol, or prostitutes with bigger cup sizes.

But it has been rather hard for me to get comics in the recent years, as the local shop closed and I have to drive an hour and a half to get to a Borders that rarely stocks them on time. I thank DP and the others here who kindly provide me with my weekly fix.

I'm currently into old Graphic Novels. I buy a lot of the X-Men Essentials and am currently reading through the Age of Apolcalypse Graphic Novels 1-4. I've always been into X-Men more than anything else.

Don't know if this would be more relevant elsewhere, but, IGN has some NYCC news that better be true or someone really sucks for teasing about this:

Richard 'Dick hates Hulk' George wrote:
Moving to the next "missing" series, the panel participants were asked about Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine. Marvel Editor in Chief Joe Quesada replied that the third script was definitely in and that the fourth should be done soon.

The whole article about potential Ultimate titles schedules.
