This was taken from toolband.com, in the sept 05 newsletter:

"Now where was I?.. Oh yeah, TOOL!.. I'm not going to reveal my source, Mister Patience, but do you want to know the kind of things that have been going on while this record was being recorded? Okay, first there was the decoy record just to confound all those would-be bootleggers out there. This took, oh, about a year, just because the band members wanted it to sound pretty close to the real thing (so as to be believable), along with equally believable art design. "

here is the unfinished album art that amazon has up:

here is the real cover which apparently unfolds, where you can look into the "eyes" of the artwork and see god only knows what...

Image

also, there is talk that what was leaked as the 10,000 days album is the "fake" album, mostly B-sides from Lateralus, and that it will be included with the "real" album on May 2.

here's more pics from album artwork:

here's the package unfolded revealing the DOUBLE DISC SET!!!

Only somewhat familiar with the purported TOOL conspiracy involving releasing a elaborate fake album, with fake art, tracks, and lyrics. However...

There is a retail rip of the new TOOL: http://www.mininova.org/search/?search=tool&cat=5
Along with some some working lyrics: http://www.lyred.com/lyrics/Tool/10%2C000+Days/

Who would like a upload ;)

The leak is the bootleg is the album - 'Nuff said!

The Album, CD, Music - what ever (outside of the creative design of art & stereoscopic glasses) is great listening,
not quite the eclectic edge of 'Lateralus' or boldness of 'Ænima', has it's own personality w/ all of the TOOL signatures
The package design is simply gravy (A touch of class from Mr. Jones)

As Danny says 'It's our Blues Album' LOL!

They also rocked the H-Brd 'LIVE' in Toronto - 5.16.06

Comin' back in the fall

'Spiral-Out'
