Here's my requirements. ~1 GB, around $100, FM reciever, and would prefer direct USB access (no cords).

I've found these so far. tell me what you think.
Creative MuVo TX 1 GB

Phillips GoGear 512MB

SanDisk Sansa 1GB

Beat Sounds 1 GB digital voice

not interested in ipod shit and I've heard Sony's firmware is a bitch to get to work.

help make a nigga's birthday a happy one this halloween!

Creative is a good brand. I've got the Zen Vision M: 30GB and it rocks. If 1GB is all you need then definitely go for the Creative one.

Also the cheaper you go with the mp3 players the most likely the quality for the sound will end up becoming more shittier (is that even a word?). My Creative Zen has awesome sound so as I suggested go with the Creative route.

Also get one of those $20.00 pair of Sony headphones that wrap around the back of your head. They're the best pair of "street" head phones I've owned since ear buds suck major ass. The Sony headphones, there's a little piece above the actual ear phone piece but that's easily detatchable and I've always removed it since it hurts the ears to much with them on.

By the way here are the headphones that I have.

can't have headphones that wrap around your head like that. I'm bald and that would look like shit. but yeah, I was already leaning towards the Creative one. I think that'll do. It's the only one i've found that plugs directly into a USB port with no cords which rocks. FM tuner and voice recorder too. I think 1GB is plenty. My ears aren't that sensitive to differences in bitrate so I can fit quite a lot onto a 1GB.

Thanks peeps
