Unfortunately it's still hard to tell what kind of quality the DVDs will have. Those clips are obviously compressed for the web. You can see tell that the DVNR is present though, complete with ghosting.

You know I didn't get the 2004 Box set until Christmas 2005 (along with the ROTS DVD) because I like to burn. :mrgreen: It was then that I really appreciated the work that went into the set, flaws and all.

With that said and it has been said the CGI dinosaurs, creatures, and droids inserted into that scene from the comparison... totally unecessary. With the 1997 Special Editions, it's like Lucas wanted to take all the work he did for the Jurassic Park and make A New Hope into Jurassic Wars.

Looking at the Empire of Dreams doc and the OUT footage intergrated into that show (it's anamorphic, mind you), these DVDs are gonna be considerably wack in comparison.

Like, wiggity wack.


What the hell happened to the cleaned up transfers they used to make the '97 special editions?
