STARWARS
EPISODE III
The galaxy is in flames as the clone
wars rage across many star systems.
The powerful army of the republic
is now close to victory, as they crush
the inferior droid armies of the seperatist.
Meanwhile Chancellor Palpatine
has seemingly been kidnapped by
the evil Count Dooku, who races back
to seperatist controlled territory aboard
the menacing Trade Federation command
ship.
Desperate to free the Chancellor and restore
order, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-wan
Kenobi command a squadron of JedI star
pilots in a race to stop Dooku from
escaping…
We pan down to the Trade federation cruiser which hurries through space as
dozens of JedI star fighters pursue it, showering the larger vessel with
laser fire, as Federation fighters are deployed to stop them.
There is an epic space battle, where more then one JedI pilot is killed.
Anakin and Obi-wan shout orders over their communicators to each other and
the other jedI’s in their charge.
Meanwhile Yoda, Mace and Bail Organa are commanding one of the Republic
capital ships, engaging other Federation ships in the epic battle.
Aboard the Federation ship, Dooku commands a bridge full of Nemodians pilots
as they watch the battle on a large view screen.
Anakin, proving why he is known as the best pilot in the galaxy executes an
impressive manoeuvre, disabling the crusiers engine and causing it to float
out of control towards a nearby planet, currently occupied by the trade
federation.
The nemodian captain screams in panic as the ship flies out of control.
Meanwhile, Dooku consults his seperatist colleagues via hologram, who are
gathered in a control room in their fortress on the fire planet of Mustafar.
Dooku informs them that he has come under attack and may not be able to
deliver Palpatine to them. They tell him to have their droid General
Grevious bring the captured Chancellor.
Hurrying to board the now helpless Federation cruiser, Obi-wan, Anakin R2-D2
and four other jedI land inside the ships hanger and hurry to find the
prison cell where Palpatine is being held captive. R4 is left behind with
Obi-wan’s starfighter.
Working their way through the dark corridors the jedI are attacked by battle
droids, and at least one JedI meets an untimely end, as the swashbuckling
battle begins. As the other jedI hold of the battle droids, R2 creates a
distraction. Obi-wan, Anakin and Kit fisto run up a steep ramp, Kit Fisto
falls through a trap door, as Obi-wan and Anakin enter a ventilation shaft,
following it to an elevator. The enter the elevator and descend, entering a
new corridor, where they discuss strategy. The two split up, Obi-wan warns
Anakin to take Dooku alive, as he has information that might be valuable to
the war effort.
Obi-wan is ambushed by General Grevious, a powerful robot enemy who is
leader of the Confederate droid armies. Obi-wan engages him, but is
completely out matched.
Meanwhile Anakin enters a large room where Dooku has Palpatine restrained in
a chair. He attacks him, but Dooku is ready, defending himself with his
dreaded red lightsaber.
As Obi-wan engages Grevious, Anakin and Count Dooku are locked in a vicious
lightsaber battle. A rematch from their first meeting three years earlier.
Anakin has definitely improved, and is eager to prove it to his nemesis. A
“captive audience” to the proceedings, Palpatine watches from his chair,
offering commentary with sinister implications, egging on the young JedI.
Meanwhile, Obi-wan is outmatched, and knocked unconscious by the evil robot.
Back on the bridge, the Federation captain panics as the ship is thrown
about, as it hurdles into the planets atmosphere.
The tumbling makes for an uneasy battle ground, as Dooku and Anakin fight in
the room, whose center of gravity keeps shifting. At the behest of
Palpatine, and in an act of vengeance from their first duel, Anakin kills
Dooku in cold blood.
Anakin frees Palpatine, and secures him in an escape pod with R2D2.
As the ship spirals out of control. Anakin recovers the unconscious Obi-wan,
and carriers him through the chaotic crashing ship. Anakin meets up with R2,
then attacks the bridge crew, and attempts to soft land the massive ship in
a lake on Kashyyyk.
The ship crashes. Obi-wan wakes up and the two jedI and the droid must now
escape the ever flooding ship. Obi-wan swimming out of the ship is attacked
underwater by some surviving battle droids, meanwhile Anakin is stuck in a
flooding room, and only barely escapes.
Once free of the vessel the two friends and the small robot recover for a
moment. Shortly there after Bail Organa and his troopers and some fellow
jedI arrive in a ship to bring them to safety, the two JedI are rescued, the
little droid and the mysterious Chancellor are rescued.
Back on Coruscant, Obi-wan relates what happened aboard the ship to Mace and
Yoda while travelling in a republic gunship. They arrive at a landing
platform where Obi-wan and Anakin find a celebration, a plethora of
characters have gathered, eager to greet the war heros, and the rescued
supreme chancellor. From the nearby Senate office building, Padme watches
through a window, with sombre expression, holding her pregnant stomach and
watching as the large group of senators and jedI enter the building.
Once inside, Padme’s costume conceals her pregnancy, and the group discusses
the death of Dooku and nearing end to the clone wars, with only the Kashyyyk
remaining to be liberated. Anakin and Padme share fleeting glances across
the crowded room, unable to reveal their forbidden love. Obi-wan notices,
but says nothing. Palpatine makes subtle but definite allusions that the
JedI’s involvement in the ordering of the clone army, coupled with Dooku’s
turn to evil as troubling and suspicious.
In the jedI council chamber Obi-wan is assigned to track down General
Grevious, Anakin is angry that he was not given the job, feels he deserves
more respect for killing Dooku. KI Adi Mundi and Plo Koon are present as
holograms, they are both on different planets, where the clone forces under
their command are massing to prepare final assaults against seperatist
establishments. Yoda is due to leave for Kashyyyk, where his battalion
awaits him.
In the chancellor’s office, many senators including Padme meet with
Palpatine, asking him to relinquish his emergency powers now that the crisis
is close to resolution, they also ask him when the clone army is to be
decommissioned. The Chancellor says that he does not feel the threat is
quelled yet.
Inside the jedI temple, Obi-wan stands at a computer terminal, researching
where he believes General Grevious to be hiding. Anakin approaches him, and
the two friends talk, tension not far beneath the surface of their
relationship, as they stand in a room with tall pillars. Obi-wan leaves to
go begin his mission, Anakin turns and sees a JedI master, teaching two
apprentices. Glares with jealously, his own relationship with Obi-wan, not
nearly as harmonious.
In a jedI hanger, Obi-wan acquires his new jedI starfighter, and his new R2
unit, who is replacing R4 after the little droid was lost aboard the
Federation cruiser.
Afterwards, Anakin speaks with palpatine, and they discuss about how he had
Anakin erase the kaminio files 13 years earlier. Palpatine continues to
encourage Anakin, and plants subtle seeds of evil with in him, telling him
it was wrong for the jedI not to appreciate him. [i]Palpatine appoints
Anakin as his personal bodyguard.
Anakin says a sad but heartfelt goodbye to Padme before he must begin his
new duties, in another quiet scene in Padme‘s apartment. There is tension
between them as Padme has begun to doubt the Chancellor, while Anakin
remains very loyal to him.
Obi-wan and his brigade of clone soldiers, arrive on Utapau, where he is
greeted by helpful aliens whose gruesome appearance is contrary to their
kind nature. They provide Obi-wan with a steed, a giant bi-ped lizard, that
he rides across the bizarre landscape with his troops to a remote location.
Back at Padme’s apartment, the expecting Senator has called a meeting of her
liberal colleagues including
Senators Bail Organa and Mon Motha. C3P0 serves drinks. The group discusses
the current situation with Palpatine, and discuss their options for removing
him from power.
Yoda departs to Kashyyyk, to join Ki adi Mundi and Plo Koon. where a key
fortress of the seperatist is to be over taken, and the threat finally
absolved.
Bail enters the senate chamber, joining Padme, and Jar jar. They petition
for Palpatine to step down now that the conflict is so near to an end. But
the chancellor refuses, and instead, removes Padme’s senatorial power, and
banishes her back to Naboo. He thendeclares himself emperor of the galaxy.
Padme and her friends are shocked, as Palpatine blames the war on the JedI,
sighting Dooku, and the mystery surrounding the ordering of the clones as
his evidence. He declares that he shall disolve the jedI order.
Anakin escorts Padme back to her vista palace on Naboo. Before he turns to
head back to Coruscant, they embrace. She is angry at the turn of events
with Palpatine, and is not happy that Anakin supports the birth of the
empire. Much is left unsaid between them as he leaves in his speeder, but it
is clear, despite that they are both hurt and confused, that they still love
each other.
Mace is in a special tactical control center in the jedI temple,
communicating with Yoda, and helping him co-ordiante the battle on Kashyyyk.
With the help of the resident Wookies, Yoda, Plo Koon and Ki adi mundi lead
clone troopers to victory, overwhelming the separatist, and destroy them.
Bail arrives, to tell Mace about Palpatine’s declaration, and how he has
painted the jedI as traitors. Mace decides to go have a chat with Palpatine.
On Utapau Obi-wan and his men enter a cave where he finds General Grevious.
They are spotted by General Grevious and chased out of the cave, he rides
his beast away [i]as Grevious pursues him in an exciting and death defying
chase. The two adversaries fight, Grevious’ arms split into two, and he
utilizes four lightsabers from jedI he has slain during the clone wars.
Obi-wan’s clones fight valiantly against Grevious’ henchmen. Just when
Obi-wan appears to be defeated, he uses the force to summon one of the laser
blasters of Grevious’ henchmen and shoots the droid general dead.
Mace goes to Palpatine’s office with four other jedI to confront the new
emperor. Mace tells Bail to wait outside, as he senses a disturbance in the
force. The noble jedI enters the office of the galactic ruler and accuses
him. Palpatine revealing his true nature at last, blasts Mace with his evil
powers, and activates his own dreaded lightsaber, utilizing a frightening
technique never seen before. Anakin must make a fateful choice between Mace
and Palpatine.
Anakin turns on Mace, the two duel, Mace is killed. Sensing Mace’s pain the
four other jedI enter the executive building lobby, But they are attacked by
the red guards and Anakin.
Palpatine sends Anakin to the jedI temple, with a host of stormtroopers.
Palpatine addresses the senate, telling them that Mace Windu tried to
assassionate him, and that the jedI have truly betrayed the new empire. He
informs them that his troops are poised to wipe out he jedI in every corner
of the galaxy. Bail Is shocked, and runs to warn the jedI. Bail, He flees
the senate, but stormtroopers are in hot pursuit, Palpatine does not want
the JedI to be warned. They fire on him as he jumps in his slick red speeder
and zooms away to the jedI temple.
The jedI suffer a horrible acts of betrayal. Under orders from Palpatine
(who exhibits some sort of secret control over the clones) The soldiers turn
on their jedI generals, on the various worlds they are fighting and kill
them in a bloody slaughter. Yoda contacts Mace to tell him what happened,
but then must defend himself as we cut to Plo Koon, and Ki Adi Mundi and the
other jedI leading clones on other worlds as they are quickly being
eradicated.
Yoda displays his incredible abilities in battle once again, taking on over
one hundred stormtroopers, decapitating them left and right, summoning the
force in incredible displays, and deflecting more laser blasts then seems
physically possible. But even he cannot fight an entire army, and is forced
to retreat.
Anakin enters the jedI council, and kills those inside. The stormtroopers
swarm the jedI and kill all that they find. We intercut between the jedI
slaughter in the temple, and on Kashyyyk (as well as the other worlds where
the jedI are fighting desperately for their lives )with Palpatine sitting in
a grand opera house, watching an epic performance. Only Yoda is able to
escape, thanks to the help of a wookie named Chewbacca, who flies him to
safety.
Obi-wan is saddened on Utapau as his clone brigade turns on him and he is
forced to destroy them.
Arrving at the jedI temple, Bail uses his authority, yelling orders to the
coruscant fire department to try to put out the blazes that blanket the
temple, as it is laid to ruin. The fire ship captain promises they will put
out what fires they can. Faced with the horror of the situation, Bail
remembers Yoda’s desperate situation, he contacts him, and tells him to meet
him on Alderaan.
We cut back to the Coruscant theatre, where Palpatine is in attendance of
tragic opera. Anakin enters, and tells him that the temple is destroyed.
Palpatine instructs Anakin to go to the planet Mustafar, where Nute Gunray
and the other remain seperatist are hiding.
Obi-wan lands back on Coruscant, only to see the jedI temple burning. He
moves around some debris on the landing pad, through the smoke. R2 is
present , and Bail, the King of Alderaan tells the jedI to hurry to Naboo
and secure Padme, while he will go to get Yoda and any other jedI survivors.
Bail enters a hanger where he secures his blockade runner ship from his
aides and departs the capital to help his friends.
The scene that explains it all, Padme and Obi-wan on Naboo, discuss Anakin’s
turn to evil Padme agrees to let Obi-wan take her into hiding. They must
leave to meet with Bail, one of the few people they trust.
Bail retrieves Yoda from Chewbacca, thanking the kind wookie for his help.
Captain Typho escorts Padme and C3P0 to a landing platform where Obi-wan is
waiting. They depart for Alderaan.
Obi-wan and Padme land on Alderaan where they are greeted by Bail and Yoda.
Once inside the recent events are explained to Padme and Obi-wan by Bail and
Yoda in a conference room with many blinking lights. The group agrees it is
not safe on Alderaan, especially for Padme, and that they must leave
immediately.
After the meeting, Yoda tells Obi-wan he must confront Anakin and Palpatine.
He tells Obi-wan about an ancient technique of preserving your identity
after death.
With his friends safe for the moment, Obi-wan leaves to go Mustafar. Bail
and Yoda walk and talk deciding on Dagobah as a safe refuge for Padme to
bare her child(ren)
Padme, hoping to find some way to turn Anakin back to good, leaves for the
fire planet with the droids, Yoda, and Bail aboard Bail’s TANTIV 4 Blockade
runner
Inside her ship Padme speaks to C3P0, then spots Obi-wan and lands.
In a conference room on Mustafar, Anakin makes short work of Nute Gunray and
the other seperatist leaders. Obi-wan enters the room, drawing his saber, as
he sees Po Nudo’s body and others littering the room there is a stand off
between the two old friends.
Suddenly Padme arrives on a landing platform just outside the conference
room. The three characters engage in a dramatic scene. Anakin grows bitter
at Padme and lashes out at her, choking her with the force to knock her
unconscious, but he is unable to govern his passion, and chokes her within
an inch of her life. Obi-wan draws his saber and the two begin to duel.
Anakin engages Obi-wan in part of the epic duel between master and
apprentice while in a in a conference room
Anakin and Obi-wan are locked in a mortal battle with each other. Anakin
deflects some falling debris with his saber.
Bail and Yoda arrive to recover the nearly lifeless body of Padme, and must
perform an emergency delivery of the babies.
Meanwhile Obi-wan and Anakin exchange harsh words during the fateful duel
A dark room filled with control panels and flashing lights, and a large
blast door. The duel enters this room, moves outside then re-enters this
room. Obi-wan is thrown against a computer. The exit the room again, through
another door, still engaged in mortal combat. Arriving at a ravine over the
lava.
Aboard the ship, Leia is delivered, Padme holds her for a moment, looking
into her eyes, mother and daughter share a momentary connection that will
linger in Leia’s mind the rest of her life. Suddenly Padme convulses, it
seems Leia has a twin brother.
Anakin grabs a cable and swings across, Obi-wan follows, they clash while
suspended, then arrive at the other side and continue to duel.
Obi-wan attacks Anakin who backs up a ramp over the lava, his height making
him vulnerable on a slope, using this advantage Obi-wan slices one of Anakin
’s legs out from under him
Aboard the ship, Luke is born. But tragically Padme passes away a moment
later.
Back at the duel Anakin does not give up. He swipes at Obi-wan, who blocks
the attack and severs Anakin’s other arm, which drops his blue jedI saber to
the ground.
Obi-wan makes one final plea for Anakin to abandon the dark side and to come
back to the light side, but he is too far gone and lashes out at Obi-wan,
drawing his second lightsaber, his red sith saber, and tries with one last
effort to destroy Obi-wan. But Obi-wan again evades the blow, and Anakin is
knocked off balance and falls into the molten pit below, where he is scarred
and burned to a crisp.
Obi-wan runs from stormtroopers as he escapes the planet.
Barely alive, Anakin is rescued and brought to an imperial medical facility.
When he awakes, submerged in healing liquid, limbless and horrifically
deformed, he is informed that Padme was killed. He grows enraged and using
the force, brings chaos to the room smashing everything in sight
telekinetically
Obi-wan and the others arrive on Dagobah where Yoda is going to stay in
hiding.
Obi-wan is entrusted with Luke. He tells Yoda he will not train Luke as a
jedI, because it would only make things worse. Yoda is cross but Obi-wan
leaves. Bail emerges from the shadows, Yoda entrusts him with Leia, but
having heard Obi-wan’s statement, he too refuses to let the young girl be
trained. He departs the planet with Leia. Yoda is dismayed.
Bail having delivered Padme’s boy to her family, stands along side them, the
new queen of Naboo and Jar jar, as they watch with dismay as Padme is laid
to rest.
Obi-wan arrives at the homestead on Tatooine where he delivers baby Luke to
Owen and Beru, before heading out into the desert.
Anakin, burned within an inch of his life is resuscitated by imperial
medical droids, who heal him by building him into to the armour terror of
the stars we all know as Darth Vader. Now more machine then man, the new
Sith lord emerges in a room with an intricate mechanical floor.
Vader exit’s the medical facility and walks through the bridge of the star
destroyer, joining his new master Darth Sidious, the emperor of the galaxy.
Vader looks out as the stars, breathing through his mask.
Iris out.
