I would have to agree with digitalsmooth, in that it should focus on past events eg Jedi vs Sith.

I haven't caught up on what exactly is going on with the TV Series, but as I understand it, they are doing two - one 'live' the other 3D animated. I would hazard a guess and say that the 3D would focus on past events and the 'live' would be on Han or something like that.

Focusing on Luke or Leia alone would be a snooze fest - just can't see it being done well at the moment - could be surprised though.

The live action show won't focus on Han because Lucas said it wouldn't revolve around any main characters.

I suppose there's a chance a young Han could show up in a cameo appearance or something, but we won't see a show built around Luke, Leia, Han, Obi-Wan, Vader, Palpatine, etc.

Personally, I would rather see the TV series focus on the Jedi vs. Sith period as well instead of showing the events between Episode III and Episode IV, but unfortunately that doesn't look to be the case.

i dont know about you guys but watching luke shoot womp rats for 100 hours doesnt really excite me. If they show uncle owen making him do a lot of hard work and like ruining his childhood it might be better and will show that luke didnt live a perfect life. Also they could show old Ben checking up on him and develope the conflist between uncle owen and ben. Another great thing to see would be seeing vader hunt down the last remaining Jedi/ force users.

Actually, if it were true, I'm sure the imbeciles would follow the standard "teen action" fare and went for contradicting and urinating on the whole concept and continuity of the OT.

Making a show about teenage Luke (we would also see something about a teenage Leia's adventures as a bored princess. Maybe Han Solo as a beginning smuggler in his early 20s), who finds himself in an exciting new adventure every week.

Soon it would become obvious that not only is everyone on Tatooine related, but the whole damn planet is the action center of the universe, providing Luke with more adventures by the age of 17 than he had in the entire OT - precisely as it was with Indiana Jones and that idiotic "Young Indiana" series.

The only hope is that GL turns down this sort of an idea when it's submitted to him - and has its originator executed. Better yet if he abandoned the whole idea of this TV travesty, but that won't happen...

it'd be more interesting to see a tv show about the life of Jet Porkins in his early rebel years. Maybe they can get Philp Seymour Hoffman to play the role.

Good God, Ben Affleck fucks up about everything that was once right in the universe. I used to love the movies based on Clancy novels.

Hello. I have been a lurker here for a long time. Thought it was time to start posting.

Anyway, I don't know what to think about the television seies. I personally don't like the idea of a Han Solo/Chewbacca spinoff. Mabe one episode or two might be ok to get things started with them, but not a whole series.

Lucas should pic an unknown for a young Solo. Anyone of famous stature would ruin it, unless they looked like a young Harrison Ford.

That was in ROTS. Leia spends relatively more time with Padme than Luke did. Couple her latent-Force abilities into the equation and that's good enough for me. My appreciation for the saga doesn't hinge on throwaway lines like that one.

I wouldn't necessarily call that a throw away line. Padme died after Luke and leia were born. I can understand a force connection of a sort between Leia and Padme, but that doesn't really explain much. Of course that is just my own opinion, no offence.

I guess Luke and Leia are born with different kinds of Powers , that would explain it.

Luke is more focussed on the offensive (boys are, that's the way it is) while Leia more on the Passive side.

I guess the abbility of the Force is also based on the Characteristics of the force weilder.

But the point is Leia didn't know she had these powers untill ROTJ, they were deeply hidden inside her, that could explain why Vader didn't sence her in ANH or did he?

Anyway I would guess Leia was born with that Force Power, something she inherrited directly from her father, maybe?

It should centre around the trials and tribulations of sifo dias or the real clone emperor killing darth sidious.. spit lollin How wrong do those people feel now ??

Characters like boba fett, bail organa, grand moff tarkin, misscellaneous imperial captains, chewbacca or han even are all logical choices. They are minor characters yet still have significant roles to play. As has been said. Maybe show that, apart from the general populous, there are a number of unhappy chappys in the imperial camp ie; want palps/vader out...

I will also agree that perhaps touching on Luke Skywalkers childhood would be a mistake. That and it would make gl look like an utter muppet. If inclusion of lukid ? were a reality surely it would be just a cameo....

Introducing other "surviving" jedi would be risky also. Although you do get the impression that survivors, other than ob1 and yodi, exist at the end of EpIII. Then you watch the clone wars cartoons (I know it is not cannon but take mace windu in vol 1 WTF ??) and see how powerfull jedi are depicted and wonder how they were eradicated.

Then again I remeber watching the ewok cartoons as a kid and loving them. Tebow sp? was my favourite. Then you had that whacked out ewok movie with that kid dressed in orange rebel pilot gear. When given 2 choices... watching that move or rape I would choose rape..

cornballness on...

no matter what it is it will still keep my star wars fanboy flame/bonner burning/erect for years to come. I will buy the dvd set and watch it time and time again. Wink

In the comic Star Wars: Republic Luminara Unduli and Quinlan Vos are still alive as well as other Jedi we've never seen (Kai Huddora looks like a Bothan Jedi, and the humans: his Padawan Noirah Na and a Master Dass Jennir) and (those last three) they have returned to the Temple on Coruscant and recognize other Jedi in the crowd. There are more Jedi out there. Huddora and Na didn't know about the beacon telling all Jedi to stay away and Jennir did but came anyway just to see what was going on (all dressed incognito, of course.) So, it's not canon, but the idea is out there that the show might involve remaining Jedi and Order 66 and such. May the Force choose Quinlan Vos for the weekly series.

10,000 Jedi - not all of them are going to be killed.

Basically, someone has to hunt down and kill them, and I assume that Vader will call on other people to continue the cull.

It might be within the realm of possibility to think that a certain bounty hunter with a deep-seated hatred of Jedi could be commissioned to help with that.

I personally still hope that they deal with the birth of the Rebellion.

I think there is a huge storyline that could be explored with vos . It was cool that GL at least recognized Vos as a character in the movies and at least making it a cannon character Still gives me hope that the character could show up.
Hidden:
I think the ending of the Republic series created a great storyline, there is alot that could be done with him and Tholme and his kid. and khaleen is such a piece of ass, what actress could play her?

The comic is over. It seems Vos' story is done.

*SPOILERS*

Hidden:
I guess Luminara didn't survive and Vos is known to be dead according to what the clone troopers had reported: A burning Jedi pyre in the forest of the wookiee planet. Done by his friend, the devaronian mercenary Villie. The pyre turned out to be Commander Faie, a clone trooper, and not Quinlan Vos. Woo-Hoo! Fortunately, he didn't die and returned to Khaleen and their baby. I think the comic wrapped things up nicely. I can't really see anything more being written about Vos, unfortunately. And that bums me out.
