It might seem like a strange movie, but I think its going to be a "Darkman meets Zorro meets Rob Roy" kind of movie and way cool!! :heavymetal:

I saw this over the weekend. I never read the comic, but I liked the film version. Kept my attention and the story seemed to progress quite naturally considering events take a year to pan out. I've read a lot of fans didn't like this interpretation, and neither did it's original author.

I dragged my wife to it, and after complaining, she said she enjoyed it and wants to buy it on dvd when it comes out. Considering how unhappy she was to be going in, I take that as a sign that it might not suck too much.

I saw this and thought it was quite good. Dragged a bit in the middle maybe, but the begining and end were very entertaining.

I know the film has been accused of having a political slant, but I didn't think it was distractingly apparent. Like in Star Wars, the ruling government represented an extreme and definately deserved to be recognized as the "bad guy."

Also, I have the comics if anyone's interested...

It was eye opening for me, because I feel Australia is turning into a Galactic Empire at the moment...grrr....DAMN YOU JOHN HOWARD!

The movie was good - bordering on alright. There were too many philosophical speeches that bored me and took away from the message of the movie itself. The fight at the end gave me the shits because it served to show blood and had nothing to add to the story.

Natalie is starting to learn to act - YAY!

All in all, I still liked it for the message it was trying to convey.

Just watched this last night. All political propaganda aside, I liked the movie. Not as "cool" as I was hoping, but a good flick none the less.

V definitelly represented a lot of "under the thumb" societies that should be uniting and accomplishing things together instead of seperately.

But see, we tried that over here (French Canada) in the 70's and it didn't go all too well. I wonder why???

Anyway It was really fun to watch and the 12th overture really does go well with explosions.
