This bit of music when Vader is standing with the Emperor at the of Episode III is my favorite piece of music in the entire movie, and it is missing from the soundtrack.

The Qui-Gon funeral theme is perfectly mixed with the Imperial March when Vader crosses his hands. Is this music available anywhere, or do we have to wait for the "definitive" soundtrack release?

EDIT: Upon further listening, it starts with the force theme, flows into the Imperial March then mixes with Qui-Gon's funeral theme.

That piece of music have not been leaked into the games at all so far. Chances are we have to wait for an "Ultimate Edition" or "Special Edition" version of the score to get that piece of music.

Crap we don't even have "Count Dooku's Death" and I'm surprised that never popped up in Battlefront 2. Hopefully Star Wars: Empire At War will have a few more bits of unreleased ROTS music that we don't have.

That has got to be the perfect peice of music because it goes from the Force Theme (what he was), to the Qui-Gon Funeral (Death of what he was) to the Imperial March (to what he is today).

So short, yet so powerful.

It's too bad someone here doesn't know someone inside LucasArts who would be willing to send them copies of the AOTC and ROTS full scores...they clearly have them since unreleased music is appearing in the games.

Supposedly a complete score for AOTC was already finished but LFL didn't want to release it for whatever reason.

I think because the TPM Ultimate Edition sold like shit.

From what I was actually told was because of the complaints from the supposed fans and that rubbed them the wrong way. So I think the fans personally screwed everyone over for a long time to have the 2-disc set score for AOTC and ROTS being released...

I personally can see that....I for one was happy to get the U.E. because I wanted just the unreleased music. I didn't give a rats ass about the edits.

Probably b/c it is embarassing how little new music ended up in AOTC. Frankly, there's no point to a UE for AOTC thanks to Ben Burtt that jackass. There definitely, definitely is reason for ROTS UE.

I never really got all the bashing of the TPM UE. It was an isolated score for TPM, which is pretty much all I wanted. But I guess some people can never be satisfied. Now, I can understand that in regards to AOTC, but not TPM or ROTS. All the scores are deserving of complete releases.

AOTC and especially ROTS UE's would sell like hotcakes, IMO. How many times have the OT soundtracks been released? Seriously.

I agree. I too never fully understood the bashing of the UE for TPM. As I said it's the fans that has shot themselves in the foot for the time being. Maybe in a couple of years they might release UE's of AOTC and ROTS.

Or possibly next year as Rick McCallum said at C3 we might see a box set for the Prequel scores (possibly for the 2-disc set scores). I doubt he'd lie to thousands of fans like that.

I thought it was partially because the set was advertised as having all the music recorded for TPM but was actually just an isolated score including all the loops and edits made for the film. That rubbed a lot of people the wrong way I guess. At least that's what I read many hardcore music fans bitch about regarding this subject. But it gave us a ton more music we didn't have before so I think the bashing is a little undeserved.

Still, an actual complete score should be released for TPM and the other films. There's still quite a bit of good music which wasn't included on the UE, like the battle of Naboo as JW originally scored it before the numerous re-edits of reel 6 took place.

Well they should have said all the music as presented in the film to clarify a bit more. Still there was no reason for the so called Williams fans to bitch heavily about it. I mean they cried about wanting unreleased music from the film. So Sony gave them unreleased music yet they still cried and bitched about it because it didn't have all the music that it was originally written for. I mean if you were Lucasfilm and Sony wouldn't that rub you the wrong way too??

I agree with ETandElliot that some people will never be satisified. To many people were expecting the TPM score to get the same treatment as the OT scores. I knew it wouldn't and quite frankly didn't really care and still don't really care. As I said I just wanted the unreleased music and I would take an Ultimate Edition for AOTC and ROTS any day...as long as the edits for AOTC are a tad better than what they were in the film..

Edit: On a side note it was reported that the tracked music in AOTC and ROTS was pre-planned. Personally I don't mind the tracked music...and I still don't understand why fans are bitching about "The Arena" music being in ROTS...I thought it fit perfectly for that scene.

Again you can never keep everyone satisified.

To be fair, there's one particular track (a "march", in fact) that the scene is tailor-made for, and the fact that it ain't in there is shocking.

If there was one scene that cried out for a custom mixed "military" version of the Imperial March, that was it.

The use of the Arena music for the Temple Raid is my biggest problem with the film.

This piece of music (final montage), puts a lump in my throat every time. The shot of Vader crossing his arms with the march swelling is the biggest 'wow' moment in the entire movie.

I remember nitpicking back when the TPM UE came out because the Parade and End Credits are not the movie version. And the advertised "exclusive never-before-heard track" was in the movie.

Thanks so much, this is actually my favorite cue in the film. To me it sounds very OT. Would you happen to have "Anakin Crawling" which starts right after Obi Wan leaves Mustafar? I agree with you guys on the use of the Arena theme in Episode III. I've actually tried putting the imperial march in that scene and it was awesome but I had a really hard time transitioning to the next scene.
