The rumors are true. Due to the line selling well, but not well enough, the line has been put on hiatus. Basically, Hasbro says the line isn't selling out and they aren't making enough money per figure to continue in the 7-inch scale, so the line is being dropped in favor of Unleashed Battle Packs-- which are, basically, Armies of Middle-Earth type figures. 2-inch figures, mostly troop builders, many of which aren't available in 3 3/4- inch yet. We are not amused. It is not known of Unleashed can continue in some other capacity, but rest assured, we're going to try to find out what it'll take to get it from becoming another Action Fleet.






What the fuck are they thinking by reducing this line to 2" scale?! Garbage, I tell ya!

And they say they cost too much to produce?! Raise the price and I'd still buy 'em, so long as they kept the quality.

Or am I alone with this line of thinking?

They're too expensive at retail. In Australia we're payin' anywhere between $40-50 each. I was in TRU on Sunday and the pegs were full of them.

Slowly, I was building on completing a set of these, now they fucking take them away? Replacing them with these kinder surprise shit nuggets is most likely a blessing in disguise, as the money I save on these, can go towards collecting some of these Sideshow 12" Collector Series!

The final wave of Unleashed figs have been cancelled worldwide.
That means, no Han Stormtrooper, ROTS Shocktrooper or Wookiee Warrior.
The current wave, consisting of Assaj Ventress, Sidious vs Yoda and Darth Vader will be the last.

Unleashed Update

Previously shown at Comic Con, the 7" Unleashed wave that included Han Solo, Chewbacca and the Clone Trooper has been delayed to 2006. While the Unleashed 7" line is not being offered to retailers in the spring, there are plans to return the line to retail for Fall 2006 (including the three figures mentioned) alongside the Unleashed 2" Battle Packs.
