I'm a longtime horror fan and I liked the remake better. The original was a classic, but real fucking boring to watch with todays post special effects revolution standards. Now, the original sequel 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre part 2' is a film that should not be fucked with/remade, particularly with any of the stars of 7th Heaven.

No, the original can't be beat because of it's realistic and birzarre feel. "Post special effects" would denigrate that. Also, the remake got the character of Leatherface wrong. He's supposed to be a sympathetic character. A retarded person. Not just some hulking stereotype of a movie mad-man. Part 2 was good, but part 3 was better. That chainsaw in 3 was crazy.
