You'd know, seeing as how you're from Texas. Only two things come from Texas...

You know the rest.

The only reason why I use the MetallicA font is because it looks cool and it's non star wars. The group should have called it a day after load.

I like Metallica, in fact they are one of my favorite bands. I've seen them 13 times and met the guys twice...got some nice autographed albums from them.

So are you calling me a superfriend? Come say that to my face idiot boy. I'll be waiting at Sea-Tac airport for you to arrive.

EDIT: spelling yep!

Fuck this. I love Metallica. I totally dropped them in 96, but a couple years ago I stopped being a dumb ass & gave the rest of their stuff a fair chance. I still like the older stuff best. I only like half of Load, but I used to say "I could make a better load in my pants" when I hated it all. Reload's decent, but not special enough for it to be anything but my second-to-last fave of theirs. I totally dig St. Anger. So, color me a superfriend, cause I love almost all their shit. There's a track here & there on almost every album that i'm not too high on, but most all of it is awesome.

I will forever love Metallica, I got to meet them during the load tour & they are some cool dudes. Plus, they all are really short. I still think the old stuff is the best, but the new shit rocks too. It's better than the new Crue stuff.

at least they didn't do any 12" dance remixes to any of their songs as they got old.

You obviously have not heard the tepid mix of king nothing.

it's on a single B side of memory remains...i'd like to pretend that doesn't exist.

now after remembering that, i'll just back out of the room slowly...

Fuck, I love the Crüe too!!!! Saw them in March & will see them again in August. Sick Love Song and I'm A Liar (And That's The Truth) are great new Crüe songs. Still, they've always been much too different from Metallica to warrant a comparison.

And that KMFDM remix of King Nothing is cool. Not as cool as the actual song, but still cool.

I can understand people who don't listen to Metallica stuff from the black album on. I can even understand people not listening to Kill 'Em All. But why not listen to Justice?! Is it the no bass thing that gets ya? It's like their most intense, intricate work ever.

Should the subject be changed to "overrated washed-up pseudo-metal bands are whack and for superfriends"? :heavymetal:

SABBATH DEWDER, SABBATH

Change it to "Manowar is ghey", though I begrudgingly admit to liking them almost as much as I laugh at them.

The problem with it is the drums sound like absolute shit. It's like the Garden Gnome was banging on tin cans.

Yep, thats the snare drum that they tried to bring back on their latest album. Sucked back then, still sucks now.

OK, the St. Anger snare does sound like a garbage can. But Justice?! You're crazy. I'm playing Eye Of The Beholder right now and it sounds like... a snare drum! I never have had a problem with the drum sound on this album, especially because it's Lars's best effort as a drummer. Fuckin Frayed Ends of Sanity... the little fuck is going insane.

It has been referred to when people have mentioned that they do not like it by saying they only listen to certain albums & such. With the black album being such a phenomenon, I don't think it requires mentioning. Everybody knows what it is & how they feel about it already. I know people that like pretty much al Metallica that can't listen to the black album anymore because it was too over-exposed for them.
