Just wanted to get some thoughts on how you view the MPAA/RIAA. I see a lot of people on here downloading everything from games to the latest and greatest rip of Ep 3. Do you fear getting sued/arrested? Have you been threatened by any type of authorities? I think the RIAA/MPAA are doing theirselves a disservice by suing, but thats just me. Pretty much just serves to piss people off more. What say you?

Oh and this is one of the best reads I've had in a while:

While it is funny, I think that dude has a weird obsession with retractable batons. He mentions it in like 4 or 5 of those emails. Guess they do things differently over across the pond... ;)

What pisses me off is that these associations are getting laws passed that make downloading and/or sharing files worse than walking into a store and physically stealing the CD/DVD/etc. And thier PR firms are making joe 6-pack think that peer-to-peer technology itself is illegal. I actually heard someone at a party a while back comment that the FBI "raided one of those illegal bittorrent networks" after it was in the news, after Ep3 hit. I mentioned that BitTorrent wasn't illegal, and he wouldn't believe me until a few other folks joined in and convinced him.
