If anyone captured the Star Wars Episode III Spoof with Jimmy Fallon, please upload it here because I'd love to see it again. It was pretty funny. It was Jimmy "acting" with Padme on Mustafar. The end was lame making fun of the word Sith, but overall it was quite humorous. So get that video uploaded and shared. Thanks.

I'm sure MTV will be playing it a few dozen more times before the month is out.

Shit, I should have documented that. Not sure. I want to say between 45 minutes to an hour in. Are you going to capture it VizAg?

I could try, but I am a bit busy right now. Maybe I can rig it up before 10:30 or so. We'll see. ;)

EDIT:
Ok, I rigged up my cable to my Mac :heavymetal: , so I just have to wait for it to come on. Some stupid Britney Spears show is on right now. So, I'm working on stuff, but listening for the Awards show. Patience.....

EDIT 2:
Ok, got it...compressing and what not...

That's probably a good thing. I was just going over my capture, and there's a fucking little video hiccup in the first part. It's a nice capture though, so I'll keep movin.

Update:
Encoding right now in Divx at full 720x480. I'll make a smaller one and maybe some other formats like H.264 for you mac users out there with quicktime 7. :)

Sorry peeps. I am having compression woes.

I'm using ffMpegX (version 0.0.9s), and for that I have 2 options...use ffmpeg or mencoder. ffmpeg produces a file that is incorrectly proportioned, while mencoder will not compress the audio.

To fix the proportioning, I tried specifying a different output size. It just flat out doesn't do it. I even tried cropping the letterbox...doesn't do it. It just spits out a file that is squashed as if I didn't specify these options. mencoder obeys, ffmpeg does not.

As for just going with mencoder, I can use an external WAV, but it's in WAV and therefore the file is too big. I tried using a converted mp3, but then the program hangs when using ffmpeg.

So, bleh, I'm giving up...it's late. Hope someone else got this thing up.....I imagine they did.

Edit:
Ok ok. I got it. Damn persistence quality of mine....Turns out ffMpegX didn't like the native audio format from Final Cut Pro. I recompressed the skit and she worked!
Note: there is a very small skip in the first part of the video...my computer decided to hiccup during capture. Just be happy you got it here. :)

Jesus Christ, that blew. I could barely wait for it to be over. Makes that parody screenplay posted here a few days ago look like comic genius.

That was the only funny thing in the entire piece. It reminded me of the petty arguments they had in AOTC.

I don't know where you guys get your sense of humor, but I thought it was very well put together and quite humorous. I love when he says "What am I? Chopped lava?" and points at the screen and says thank you.

Then the whole interaction with Jimmy and Obi-wan was very funny.

I think a lot of us are just upset that they laughed at "the most serious part of the movie" and that it was making fun of our precious Star Wars. It happens to me everyday.

Or...it just wasn't funny at all.

Jimmy Fallon, along with everyone currently associated with SNL, is not funny.

It wasn't that bad. It was entertaining. It made me feel bad on the inside though, because I wish people would--and I'm going to sound like a sheep pussy here--take these movies more seriously. The movie is making bank and getting good reviews, yet people have this image of Star Wars being for nerds and geeks only. Did you hear Samuel L. Jackson make fun of everyone of us here?

Who takes anything seriously nowadays, aside from their jobs?

This "culture" is a goddamn electronic circus.

i concur, if i ever were to see sam jackson i would not be walking up to him calling him master windu, i'd say "hey I'm a big fan of your work, Pulp Fiction is so a classic film, keep it up and thanks for the entertainment" or somethign along those lines, so as for the "us" that want him to sign our 2 inch lightsabers? yeah, thats not me either

Whatever way you look at it, the fact remains that Sam Jackson was the one that literally begged on national TV for a part in the Star Wars prequels.

So if regular SW fans are geeks, what does that make him?

 Got yo' number, mother fucker!

It doesn't matter what was said, in jest or not. The things that SLJ said were read off a teleprompter, written by some high ranking MTV executive and 18 yr old summer intern that thought it would be funny.

Jimmy Fallon cannot host anything. He did fine with Kirsten Dunst a few years back, but alone no one likes him.

Not funny, I felt bad for him

Never seen that guy before and his Jack Black impression was a bit poo. But the whole sketch was just complete shitty soaked bollocks dipped in the anus of Freddy Mercurys aids. It was really that bad.

That was pretty bad indeed. Usually the MTV skits are pretty good, they should have had Jack Black in it.
