What the fuck! I just asked a question why everyone is wasting their time with the torrent shit when they can get in some serious trouble, why do you have to get so dam nasty evil on me.

I think they would be far more likely to go after whoever leaked the file rather than the thousands of downloaders.

No, they sent letters to people who had seeded the workprint a couple of weeks ago. They probably won't sue anybody, but you might get a scary letter.

I do agree, they will probably aggressively pursue whoever leaked this.

Was there ever a consensus on the best program for burning this to DVD? I never do that, but I'm finally going to try it and I know the Xvid thing created some problem for some folks.

How are the files no good? As long the files look like this and the boxes on the left side are blue the files are complete

Anyone else notice that piratebay is down? Hope its just a server glitch and not them getting raided by the FBI like Elite Torrents.

Guys I don't know how late I am, but I've got the rip from the first Pirate Bay link that was posted in the original MF thread. I've been seeding all day and there are no .rar files, just two big .avi's.

i just finished downloading this a few minutes ago, and i'm having some problems. as soon as i select one of the avi's in explorer, i instantly get a 'windows explorer has encoutered an error' window. my torrent window said that the files downloaded successfully, so what gives? has anyone else encoutered this before? if i try to double click the file to open it in windows media i get the same error for both explorer and media player

I can never get these things to open in WMP. Instead, use a DVD program like Cyberlink PowerDVD if you have one.

i just rebooted and tried power dvd and VLC player, both of them errored and had to close. something got screwed up with my download i think. the files are the correct sizes, there has to be some way to fix them. this error has something to do with the files themselves, and not about codecs or any types of players. damn.

what codec should i have installed? i just reinstalled my xvid codecs and i still can't select the file in explorer or anything without getting an error. i just unrar'ed the two cd version and i'm getting the same problem with the avi's that it created.

Huh, dudes, I can't use newsgroups because I'm brazilian, and torrents are way too slow now...

Does anyone know a good torrent link or could teach me how to get it on IRC?

PMs would be much appreciated...

I hate to ask but after looking for some time, I can't find the torrent link for the DVD version. Can someone help me out?

Or if you know the usenet group it is in, that would be good too.

My download finished this morning, and after downloading a codec update for DivX the video is working but the audio still is not.

Anyone know which codec to get for the sound to work?

Or should I just get VLC Media Player? Would it play fine with that?

Is there a link for the iso version (DVD format, not avi)?

I have been looking through usenet and can't find the DVD version, only the avi and VCD version.

VLC and NeroShowtime will play everything. Nero and Alcohol are best dvd burners i've used. Generally winamp will play reliably as long asu have the codecs,i use winamp mostly and VLC when theres a problem

VLC has been terriffic for me. I just figured out what to do with the files I got fromt he newsgroup and started watching it. I was going fast so I double clicked on it and it opened in media player and there was no sound. instead of looking for codecs I just opened it in VLC and sure enough great sound and picture. I highly recommend VLC to everyone :heavymetal:

dammit I'm gonna need a dvd writer for this shit cause these are some impressive gigs I just downloaded :o this rip shines in both video and sound quality, the guy who leaked this is my GOD :chewbacca:

oh by the way, harpau's praised vlc player rules the shit out of pretty much every other media player on the market. It might not look as pretty as the rest but if you view most files in fullscreen mode you won't notice the difference. Fuck yeah :heavymetal: :heavymetal:

Piratebay was only down for about 24 hrs. It's been back up for a couple of days and is new and improved.

the only gripe I have with the whole rip thing is that the end credits aren't included. I'd have end credits over the fox fanfare anytime, but whatever. Fantastic rip, gonna watch it with a few friends tomorrow :?

RADTools from Bink Video. It's free and does AVI to QT. Get it here:

Most of you people get up and make a jump on everyone towards the exits once you see the iris out, anyway. Stop your bitchin' about the credits being cut.

Oh god, nubs make me laugh.

Download = You are getting it

Upload = Others are getting from you

100% download = You´ve got all of it

:cathead:

So, I"m new to downloading, so what do I do next? Can I stop giving it? How do I play the file? If I stop the upload, by pressing stop what will happen next?
