Splinter Of The Mind'S Eye was first EU novel. It's not the title of Ep3.

But it says "Episode III" and the release date is 5-17-2005. :o

EDIT: Maybe it's just a placeholder :monocle:

Probably that ain't correct date. TPM and AOTC soundtracks were released about month before the first night, so why would Ep3 soundtrack be released only few days before the first night?

Edit: Fatboy was faster. :)

People are grabbing at anything these days. I should make a website that somewhere on it says "Star Wars Episode III: I Crapped My Pants When Anakin Killed All the Jedi" (or, affectionately, ICMPWAKATJ) and people would start threads about it.

Those are the 3D images that they make over at Massassi.

http://massassi.yavin4.com/pagemain.htm

They have made others including the interior of the Separatist Ship, a room in the Jedi Temple and the room in the apartment where we think Padme and Obi-Wan have the talk about Anakin.

For anyone who wants to see them, this is the page.

http://massassi.yavin4.com/sw/m3_index.htm

Scroll to where it says New Locations.

I haven't seen as detailed versions of the veranda set as those before, I do remember pretty basic versions from a while back though. Either way, those are pretty damn special.

I believe there are Senator meetings held there, isn't the veranda set also where "the scene that ties it all together" occurs between Padme and Anakin? From what we've heard I think this is likely to be the scene before Anakin heads off to Mustafar to "remove" the remnants of the ICS for Palpatine.

In fact isn't there a scene between Padme and Obi Wan on this set as well? I vaguely remember it from the HS set diaries...could be wrong, it was a while since I've looked at them.

Information gleaned from some of the earlier set diares (my own words)...

One:
Long scene in the room with the fountain. Threepio, Captain Typho, Padme, Obi-Wan in attendance (The scene that explains it all – 8 pages of script – might be multiple scenes; characters have grim expressions as they account for the dark state of things)

Another:
3PO walks with a tray of drinks and serves to a meeting of Senators (Bail Organa presides (Bail is “Sio Bibbled” in), Padme, Mon Mothma, Chris Kirby, Warren Owens, Bai Ling; Threepio responds when a Senator refuses a politely offered beverage); takes place in Padme’s apartment

Yet Another:
Three quiet dialogue scenes in Padme’s apartment with only Anakin, Padme, and Threepio (possibly R2 as well). In one scene Anakin is shirtless, displaying his mechanical arm

These were listed right in a row in my word document of Set Diary information, so they were either from the same set diary or consecutive ones. All filmed in a row, presumably, so the set could be destroyed once filming there was finished. So these are apparently the only scenes in her apartment (barring a scene that Pablo declined to mention for whatever reason).

In all honesty, I hadn't looked at that document but there ya go, my memory is as good as I thought it was. What interests me about that set is how well ILM will be able to convey the sense of "outdoors" for the veranda scenes. I like the golden shades used in these 3d images, gives it a very cool "early evening glow" that I would love to see used in the final version.

I know I got the last visual wish granted for me in AOTC so this would be icing on the cake for me.

There are about 12+ scenes in Amidala's apartment. Several with just Anakin and Padme, one with Obi-Wan, one with the Senators, various starships docking etc.

Starships docking in an apartment? Does the veranda have a landing platform attached or something?

Vanda, the following starships dock at the veranda:

Anakin's Jedi Starfighter
Obi-Wan's Starfighter
A second ship of Obi-Wan's
A transport speeder

Padme's veranda is busier than a McDonald's drive-thru. There's also the occasional tourist transport that flies by and stops to take pictures of the spectacular architecture. Padme's having a deep discussion with Anakin and a tourist bus comes by, Padme's like "just ignore them and they'll go away".

Just like in AOTC? Was there a ship docking on a veranda in AOTC?

That is the best Insider cover yet - just pipping the GG cover :heavymetal:

I'm gonna ask a silly question here but is that top right pic of the fighter getting blasted, is that Pabs was saying was getting cut from the opening battle sequence. It looks like a beefed up DRoid Fighter....kinda... :?

well I don't think it's the Seperatist Cruiser. I reckon that's more like the size of the Med Frigate in ESB - a massive slow moving bulk cruiser. :?
