hey guys we have a new thread

Please keep the shitty posting out of this thread i.e "I'm at x% on my torrent", "omg this is fake", "I'm downloading this off of KaZaa/LimeWire/eMule or some other shitty P2P", "I'll wait for the DVD screener thanks good superfriend" or this shit...

It's been in various non-public IRC channels and Direct Connect hubs for a week or so. Now it's gone wide on torrents/kazaa/etc...along with all the miscellaneous fakes.

Faid's link as well as my original link have died. Update for the full workprint.

http://livetorrents.com/torrents/c1aac3 ... 8fb20d7d6c

If that dies, just go to livetorrents.com , then go to movies, and look for "sith." Make sure it's around 1.44 GB.

I'm getting kinda mediocre speed on mine, roughly 25-30kb/s. My real question is WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS AND WHERE DID IT COME FROM? Was someone REALLY that stupid that'd they'd risk their job and reputation to get this thing out?

If it's really a screener internally used by LFL or a contractor to develop the DVDs or something, then you KNOW there's something about the timecode which will identify the source to LFL, and will make the source trace-able (or should be something, it's been pretty standard with screeners in the industry for a couple of years now at least).

And I dunno, it seems a little soft and muddy to me to really be for internal use. Don't geta me wrongo, I'm glad to see it, I'm just really curious about its pedigree.

This thing isn't even seeded yet good. It's gonna take at least 3 days for this file to peak out.

I have cable with 1.5/256 caps and i'm just chugging along with bitcomet thus far. :|

I finished mine in two hours using newsgroups. :heavymetal:

i'm not gonna try to find specific scenes for screenshots right now. I'll do it after tomorrow night because I don't want to spoil myself too much. I'm only planning on taking really random screenshots.

For those that want to change the aspect ratio to the correct 16:9 do this:

1. Use Alcohol or Demon to mount the .ISO on a virtural drive

3. Use Dvd Shrink to create vob files

4. Download this free proggy here: http://www.vso-software.fr/divxtodvd/divxtodvd.htm

5. Open the newly created .VOB's withdivxtodvd
(files are in VIDEO_TS folder).

6. *Important - select "Force 16:9" in the Aspect drop down menu.

7. Click covert and let it reencode!

You'll have a 720 x 480 .VOB when done - (the image will be widescreen).

The sound will be somewhat improved as well.

There should be NO audio sync problems with this method. Do not use Nero Vision, or you WILL have them.

heh...that was quite enough spoiler to hype me up even more for the film.
I saw like 5 seconds of the space battle....amazing.

I also saw the Mace Windu vs. Sidious right before Anakin goes nuts, and a few seconds here and there of the Obi-Wan Vader duel....It's pretty nice to have something to watch until the DVD comes out :heavymetal:

The quality is really good. Much better than the normal camera version you get from theater rips (except the time bar, which is slightly annoying)

so tell me...has anyone downloaded this and actually extracted the video file from the iso and attempted to make a file that isn't 1.5 GB ?

anyone?

lol

it'd be handy....

i'd be happy with even 700mb

quick question, if I convert it to VOB file, can I view it on any standalone DVD player? I want to watch this movie on my big screen TV

Yes. The program will create all the necessary files to use with your favorite burning software such as Nero, Roxio, etc. However, don't expect it to be perfect as your widescreen tv will show off imperfections in the compression and resolution of this. Bare in mind that we're working with mpeg 1/vcd source material here.

I'm off to bed. Goodluck everyone.
