With the term lighsaber being mentioned right off the bat insinuating it's use, plus the title of the photo, "Killing Machine Accessory", leads to a lot of creedence to Pudu's spoilers on Grievous's Jedi Hunter Droid - Guards.

Personally, I can do without Grievous, the four-armed ultra battle droid cyborg and I think Lucas should cut down the use of CGI droids and aliens in the supposed final Star Wars movie.

However, this lastest Behind The Helmet confirms, to me at least, some of Pudu's stuff.

Err...Cyborg Boy doesn't interest me at all. I really don't see EpIII as the climax to the first three trilogies - its, well, boring.

I don't think the space battles are going to be anything near as exciting as in the OT.

I am growing allergic to CGI.

I agree with Tony Montana to a certain extent. What I mean is that I think Lucas should have been more consistant with his vision. For example, Episode 1, he could have used the Mon Calamari's or even the Sullustians instead of creating the Gungans. That way by the time of Episode 6 there would already be this screen history to the Calamari's and such.

Likewise with General Grievous and his henchman. Why not just make the henchman as Palpatine's red Imperial Guards since they carry pikes as well? I understand that Grievous and his guards aren't supposed to be associated with Palpatine whatsover. Just seems like another wasted opportunity.

Lucas is making these prequels so big and huge that yes, they do overshadow the OT in terms of technology. Definitely not in terms of heart and spirit though.

I don't need to see the Royal Guards whip out their sticks and throw down. They look like bad-asses. Let them be mysterious.

Can't win though. Either you put in characters that were better left mysterious (Boba Fett) or you try and explain everything and it cheapens them as a result.

Some things don't need to be seen or explained.

As much as I would have liked to see the Royal Guards actually fight in Episode 3, Pudu is right. However, I still think that theres a chance for Mace encounter some Royal Guards, if only for a second, before entering Sidious's chamber.

This is the logic I'm using when it comes to actually seeing the Royal Guards kicks major ass: the prequels are explaining everything from the Force(midi-chlorians) to stormtroopers(clones) to how Anakin becomes Vader. So just speaking for myself of course, when I watch the OT after Episode 3 I want to look at the Royal Guards in a different way because I'm seeing practically everything else in a new light. Instead of some(essentially) moving statues, I think it would be cool to know that the guys in red are fucking ferocious when it comes to fighting and that the Jedi couldn't even fuck with them. That's why they exclusively guard the Emperor: because they're so bad-ass, so well-trained and carry special weapons. If a Jedi or Jedi wannabe tried to step to the Emperor they'd be fucked, either by the Royal Guards or the Emperor himself.

Basically, I think it would just be ashame if these guys weren't explored whatsoever in Episode 3. The prequels are cracking things wide open and the Royal Guards shouldn't be immune to the exploration process. And hey, if they have to do with Grievous and/or his henchman I don't think that would be a bad thing either, just to tie all the shit together.

Well, thats kinda my point. I think its important and essential to shed light on major plot points and story elements. Stormtroopers are used often as the main bad guy task force. Lets see their origin; cool. The Force is a very important element throughout the SW saga, lets get more into how it is perceived by the galaxy; cool.

The royal guards have about 2 minutes of screen time in ROTJ, and 30 seconds of screen time in AOTC.

I won't be upset if we don't see them fighting. I won't be upset if we don't have the cave on Dagobah explained. I won't be upset if we don't get Dengar in Ep 3.
