Synopsis: The Republic and Gungan forces have been captured by Riff Tamson and his Karkarodon enforcers. Now, it is up to Ahsoka and the young Prince Lee-Char to unite the fractured people of Mon Cala and drive out the Separatist invaders.
Another quality episode, loved the Jaws tribute at the end....very well done!
This season looks like its gonna be another outstanding one to say the least!
Yes! That was awesome. All that was missing was "Smile you son of a bitch!" But that would have been a bit too much, I think.
Loved this episode. Looking forward to more...
A nice ending to the trilogy. The jaws scene was indeed fun. I just wish we did hear the prince say something before taking that last shot.
My favorite part was actually during the final battle when the militaristic force theme played over the action. A very nice version of it by Kiner. It has been a while since we heard some of the music from the films, and from the OT specifically.
Plus, that preview for next week's episode has me amped for some Anakin/Dooku and Grievous/Gungan action.
An aside: Im glad to have MF back. I made the mistake of trying to get my SW fix back at the forums this weekend. God, I forgot how terrible it is. Its like going from the high-class prostitute in downtown Manhattan to the tramp under the bridge. But the site is up so the balance has been restored to the Force. Except now it hurts when I pee.
Here's the preview of the next episode, Shadow Warrior:
and the description:
When the leader of the Gungans, Boss Lyonie, is injured it's discovered there is an uncanny resemblance between the Boss and Jar Jar Binks. Binks must sway his people from rising against the Naboo and stopping a Separatist invasion led by General Grievous.
Just watched this episode and I gotta say that it was a lot better than the first 2. There was a lot more going on and it just seemed to stick better - I already forgot about some parts of the pilot eps ... the conclusion was very well made though - the final fight was intense and the last room with all the characters was almost beautiful.
It's good that the old lightsaber sound is back - it makes the weapon sound really deadly.
Going into the Season Four's premiere I wasn't expecting much given the BluRay Set release. The sheer number of character models and murky depth detail in addition to the Return Of The Jedi-level underwater battle converted me.
As with some previous arcs - Prisoners stretched out which should have been a duology into a trilogy. That is not to say I didn't enjoy this episode - it is just that maybe it most of the plot should have been in last week's episode - with Gungan Attack incorporated into this week's episode. From the second act the Gungan Cavalry coming to the rescue was so for me.
Other issues were the drawn out-stereotypical villain exposition by Shark Head and prominence of Mon Cal Prince over Ackbar. With that said Shark Head was awesome with his sheer ferocity, realistic bite, and acompanying JAWS theme variation. Another use of JAWS -which was a line, redeemed the Mon Cal Prince main character.
