I liked these episodes more than I expected. Since the plot is an action intensive and there are themes borrowed from the film Saga, this arch reminds me of the Citadel episodes.

The design and execution of the water environments was great. In a lot of ways, the show’s effects look better than the CG from the Thor DVD commercial that aired during a commercial break.

The voice acting for and characterization of Akbar were perfect. I hope Jaws isn't killed off. He’s a wonderfully vicious bad guy.

Great to have the show back, and as always, thanks for the 720p. Should make the second viewing that much better.

I'm a fanboy so I don't view the episodes with any form of critical eye, so I just enjoyed the ride. Loved shark dude.

Thinking back on it, was a little disappointed that we again see the Sepratists as being pure evil. I know the show has to represent the struggle as good guys against bad guys, but sometimes it would be nice to see a bit more of a reason why so many planets have broken off from the Republic.

The Quarren vs Mon Calamari would have been a great way to briefly explore that. Instead we get the same old "all Quarren will be slaves soon." The prince character was very weak and unneeded. Some of the tactics were a little strange, Kit Fisto: "I'll hold them off!" And then he swims off? What?

Can't wait for next Friday! As a big Jar-Jar fan, I hope he gets some good pain.

I was bored 15 minutes in - huge disappointment.

I hope the show can achieve a higher level of depth (no pun intended) as the season goes on.

Shark guy was cool in theory, but kinda weak sauce in execution, with a strange voice casting choice I thought. And underwater movement is, I'm sorry, boring and slow. Nothing against LA, they executed the sequences in a nicely believable way which said "underwater", but still boring and slow.
