Hey can I ask a really dumb question? Where did these screen grabs come from? Did someone do an upconvert from the DVD or is this something different?

Some German TV-channel showed ANH in 1080p HDTV resolution with DD2.0 sounds. If you check out quality of those screenshots, you can see that they ain't upscaled from DVD.

Duke: Great job on the screencaps with the full-quality image files! Star Wars looks superb in full 1080 HD!

Could you please post some more screencaps showing the duel between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader? Pictures where you can see both their faces at the same time, and also pictures that show them locking lightsabers from a variety of angles would be great. Thanks very much!

The rumours I have heard say that they should be 1080p with DD5.1 sounds, so I'm greatly looking for them. This German version has only DD2.0 sounds.

I'll try get some of those reguested screenshots tonight.

I had re-install Windows few days ago so I haven't yet installed all needed codecs and softwares to play these HD movies but when I have them, I'll take those caps.

ohh ohh - how about the shot just after the Falcon blasts out of Mos Eisley and it shows the planet Tatooine with the two Stardestroyers giving pursuit to the Falcon.

I did my first Star Wars signing the other month and met up with some of my old mates from 30 years ago... Nice day out....
