this page summarizes perfectly the entire emotional gambit of the movie, Padmes Death, Vaders Birth, and A New Hope.

Once again the MF spoiler reports hold true - two legs and an arm missing for Anakin.

What truly spoilering stuff that is though. Vader's yellow eyes when on fire too - he's still eee-vil when he goes!

Maybe I'm fanboying out but...

Man, that picture of yoda with the lightning looks really good...if you didn't know it was CGI, you might just think they got a little man and put some really good make-up on him to make him look like yoda.

the floor lighting in the pre-op Vader shot reminds me of his hyperbaric (sp?) chamber in ESP.. just the shape, I guess.

Amazing pics as always.

Just a nick picky thing Vaders size is just just wrong.

I mean i understand why Hayden wanted to be Vader (who wouldnt) but ive met Hayden here in various LA bars and im 6foot and hes maybe an inch taller then me im sure it will work in the movie but i think a 6 foot 4 actor wouldve been better.

The lighting in the burned anakin picture almost makes it look like the lower halves of his legs are on the table as if they recovered them.

It'd be kinda pointless if they did I guess am I the only one that sees it like that?

No you're not. At my first glance, I thought that a mechanicl leg was attached to Anakin's left side, looks like there's a mechanical foot almost. As a matter of fact I think those are mechanical legs, one looks like it's already attached and one is gonna be moved onto the other leg.

has anyone noticed the striking similarity between the lighting on the floor of vader's assembly/operating room and the impirial insignia? Almost like the empire is being built with vader... good use of visual rhyme GL!

I noticed that.

the Imperial insignia is a little more complex, but it resembles it nonetheless.

What the hell is this even the same movie?

All of these shots look like 10 times better than anything else I've ever seen. The lighting in the Vader construction scenes make everything look absurdly epic.

To me it looks like the left foot's already attached and the right is present to be attached shortly. It's a breathtaking image, no question, I sat staring at that and the burning Vader for about 10 minutes earlier, this is the Star Wars moments I've had in my head for years and never once thought they'd actually get shown onscreen Just jaw-dropping stuff tonight.

My one qualm is the fact that Vaders arms are down here but up in the trailer but I'm assuming the chain looking table edge is some kind of pully to move them where Sidious see's fit.

Hayden's a big fucking loser, to be honest. Though his sister is pretty hot. I should bang her.

He lives around the corner from me in Thornhill. Went to high school with a bunch of my friends (Unionville). He's a good friend of a buddy of mine as well so we kind of chilled back in the day. He was even on my ICQ list. Then came the virgin suicides, where he thought he God's gift and became an arrogant fuck. You can imagine what getting a call to play Darth Vader would do to him.

I've seen him a few times since he was chosen to be in Star Wars and he's only gotten worse. He shoves money in people's faces and can't stop talking about himself.

I mean, good for him He got a huge break and I'd wish him all the best if he wasn't such a miserable fuck.

You probably cant see Yoda because he is a lot shorter than Obi. The camera might pan down to Yoda as they converse. But in the GN they can only do the panels to tell the story.

Looking at that pic of the Immolation Scene makes me wonder what is going on in Anakin's Character at that moment. Does that really look like anger in his eyes? It looks more like remorse to me.

Wow, these are awesome pics I love em all! Now to see a live finished shot of the deathstar and I'd be set :-D

As for the PG/PG-13 argument I can't see where the MPAA would make a PG-13 call on that shot of Anakin alone - i've seen far worse on the The X-Files (god I miss that series).

To the person who said they'd met Hayden and he's about 6'1" tall, you have to remember, they put 6" platform heels on the vader suit so he would be taller than normal.

Hayden said he had a lot of problems walking in them.

Yeah true but all the heels in the world cant make him 'bigger'. I was talking about the overall build but thats cool. cant blame him for wanting tobe vader...i was just being picky.Wink movie will still rule.

Don't fret CoGro. Lucas casts to type. He knew Hayden would let his greed turn him evil and that he would eventually betray you. So, all is going according to plan. Your greater concern should be protecting your younglings if he ever comes knocking at your door with a bunch of samey looking dudes behind him.
