I'm bumping subSilver now - again "a few modifications".

Is this the same as OpSom? (subsilver)

subSilver is the default phpbBB theme and comes bundled with the phpBB files. Sombrero's subSilver was customized by GunsBlazing I think.

I made MF's subSilver to be somewhat of a homage to Kamino -
a plain theme with just a simple graphic up top.

Though the current graphic is probably to be big and probably gon be shrunk soon.

I'm still working on myApple right now, so far I increased the font size and the link size. Eventually I will get rid of the smurf blue and add in the message post dates and subject.

odd that you would see it in the Topic Review tho.

The comic book ALL caps font and the quote thing can be fixed easily.

If you like a lite theme, I suggest the subSilver.

Another version of the Apple theme has been installed called "FI Apple".

FI Apple has only two flaws, one which is the same flaw as myApple, which is no new message, so I have to add that in.

Also, some of the emoticons are scrunched up.

What are the chances of getting more emoticons at a later date?

After I get done working out some of the quirks in the various themes, more emoticons
will be uploaded.

myApple and comicBook have just about been perfected.

myApple:
cosmetic changes were done to viewforum_body.tpl for easier reading.
post times added to messages ( viewtopic_body.tpl)

note: I don't like the myApple font-type and the smurf blue font color. these will be changed in the future.

comicBook:
the horrid ALLCAPS code was removed from CSS
CSS quote and code blocks background color was changed.

notes: the font will probably be changed and increased in size for better readability.

The spiderman one is seriously awesome, though. If the LOTR banner didn't have frodo on it, I would have gone with that.

Change MF forum themes on the fly

A new monster hack has been applied. You no longer have to endure the creepy black theme with stolen JC graphics (tho the theme is a fav of many).

At the forum's bottom, will be a pull down menu, with "Change Style" at top.

Non registered users are able to use the new function.

* comicBook - background graphic needs to be changed or removed. MF logo should probably be added.

Another new theme added is Appalachia. This theme was heavily modified from the original.

Appalachia has a calm, cooling effect about it.

Yes, good idea, I'm gonna have to make that change for LastCrusade, Quidditch, VereorLordoftheRings, and VereorSpiderman.

Also check out subSilver, it's sorta worksafe now as the bunny has been removed and replaced with a new logo. The change was made to match our new upcoming php board powered frontpage.

same goes for the edit/quote function. I usually click on the post above so if they moved to the top of the post it's much better/easier.

This goes for Quidditch not sure about the reast. I am systematically going thru all the themes to spot the weaknesses etc etc....

myApple doesn't seem to allow moderation from each forum...? Also, you can't readily change board themes unless you go into your profile...?

I'm seeing all admin/mod tools with myApple. Also the pull down 'Change MF Board Theme' menu is working just fine for me.

Anyone else have problems with myApple?

hrm, perhaps it's a browser conflict. I tend to use mozilla and find IE compatiblility issues.

hmm usually it comes it with "you can moderate this forum" down the bottom right hand side...? that opens up with a shitload of options including moving, deleting, locking threads etc etc... doesn't it?
