Is there a need for more mirrors? I have been trying for an hour and a half to get a mirror up. Both You Share/Send It aren't working for me.

I'll keep trying if need be, but if it isn't needed I'm going to stop.

Just checked out the cd.
Opened it with windows media Player
looks like they named the tracks in the wrong order

Star Wars and the Revenge of the Sith
Anakin's Betrayal
Battle of the Heroes
Anakin's Dream
The Reunion of Anakin and Padme
Welcome, Lord Vader
Padme's Ruminations
Grevious Travels to Palpatine
I Am the Senate
General Grevious
Palpatine's Dark Teachings
Anakin vs. Obi-Wan
Anakin'S Dark Deeds
The Immolation Scene
The Birth of the Twins and Padme's Destiny

The order of the tracks is like the ones we got from Darthpsychotic
but the order of the names of the tracksis a little bit mixed

This movie just looks plain cool. I cant imagine making a four minute montage of either ep 1 or ep 2 that is nearly as cool as this one. Even if it is mostly trailer footage.

"classic wooden Natalie Portman. why not instead look a little concerned, not retarded and clueless."

We've been through six years of this and some of you never learn. First we have a thread with people bitching and moaning about a GG clip that may not even be from the movie, and now this.

That is an edited clip. Anakin has more words in between what is heard. It's very likely you hear Anakin saying something while Padme stares like that. And you can't declare 'wooden' unless the actor is saying something!

Well, she is supposed to be shocked so it doesn't look that bad.
Also, I guarantee that is not how that exchange is really constructed. Hayden will say both lines close together and the Padme shot will come at another part of the conversation. This will be another moment in which she is listening to him...so it will be overlayed with dialog.
Since they were editing to music they had to pace it a little, and that is why it looks like she is just staring at him.

tell me the part again where you dictate how I feel about things? No, seriously, I must have missed that post where you explained how your thought process is the same as everyone elses.

Now that that's out of the way...
I can say I think her acting is wooden all I want from that clip. Edited or not, She has the most retarded blank stares during every emotional sequence in the movies. In AOTC: zombie walk to Anakin before he jets on the bike; blank stare on the Naboo balcony when he says he wants to go to Tattooine; retarded stare when Anakin tells the Tusken story and so on.

If you've noticed, It's her acting I'm harping on, not how it's edited or plays out in the sequence. I think she's a shit actress in this series of films. She conveys no emotion whatsoever and her expression never changes from that of someone who rides the shortbus. End of fucking story and don't tell me how to think.

Ok, I downloaded the avi and the mp4. The avi doens't play synced, I don't know if this is happening for anyone else. Even at 50% it isn't smooth.

And the mp4 is ok, but the music quality is a bit lacking. I'm assuming it was editted that way so we can hear the dialogue better and the music not so much since we have all heard it since April 9th?

I'm not complaining, just curious.

And on a side note, I don't want to toot my own horn, but I won a contest at work, and I get my choice of CD for free. I told my boss that I would be cashing in on May 3rd. It doesn't get any better than free Star Wars!

Thanks for the notice about it's German release. I just picked it up at Karstadt today, and I really enjoyed it. I don't envy poor Ian having to read some of those cheesy intros, though. But he did well with it.

The music video was awesome -- maybe it was because we finally had a score to go along with the footage.....

In regards to Natalie Portman and her on screen acting.....sure she has a blank stare.....but as others have said, maybe thats not the whole scene and just bad editing.

Then again, maybe I'm not as big of a nitpicker then others....I didnt even notice or think twice about the blank stare....

That is all...

I simply can´t stand her.
The only time I liked her performance was in LEON by Luc Besson.

But I have to confess, that I Can´t stand actors or actresses who think simply leaving their mouth open means they are showing some expression.

She is definately not the only example, there are a lot who do exactly the same.

But StarWars is some kind of more appreciated.....

''Ok, Rick has said that the different placement of Vader's hands will "make sense once you see the movie".

Can anyone offer any legitimate reason as to why it will make sense?

If they just changed it, wouldn't he say they just changed it?''

Probably just to give Vader a more dramatic pose when he goes ape upon finding out about Padme's death.

I imagine an upward sweep and a simultaneous force wave destroying droids and the breaking of bonds looking more cinematic.

Maybe more Frankenstien like too. :heavymetal:

IMO it looks better the different placement. The other way gave me the impression that Vader was about to work out or something, and those diddy hands looked daft.

Where did these people learn how to act?

The thing that I find troubling is that in other movies and at different points of their careers all of the principle actors in the Star Wars prequel trilogy are known as capable (and often very capable) actors. Yet the acting from the Mannequin Skywalkers and others has just been sadly awful for the most part.

It just seems to me that all of this blue/green screen stuff is sapping the life of the acting in these films. I have to agree with the actors when they hint that if what you see on screen is a bit wooden that it's a result of the direction and the way the movie is being filmed.

Terence Stamp once commented that the principle reason he took the role of Chancellor Valorum was to be able to work with Natalie Portman, a young actress he much admired.

Then when he showed up to do his scene with Portman George Lucas turned to him and said "Oh I've given Natalie the day off, see that little post over there? That's gonna be Natalie."

Aside from the overload of CG the wooden acting (which I feel is linked quite closely to the CG complaint) has been my biggest beef with the stories. Not the sometimes clunky writing, not B plot points that were given A plot point prominence, but the wooden, stolid acting and overblown CG.

And I don't buy GL's talk about how he went away from the method in the PT and how those of us who don't "get it" aren't sophisticated viewers.

Portman's the only cast member that I'm not too keen on. She's performed better in other movies...but she doesn't ruin the movie for me, although I would have been happier with someone like Keira Knightley.

but I do agree Natalie probably wouldn't have been the best choice for the films. She didn't even see the OT when she was casted for TPM. Bad sign right there

Anakin: I'm not the Jedi I should be.

Padme: Go on.

Anakin: I want more.

Padme: Go on.

Anakin: Remember when I killed them all in AOTC. Not just the men, but the women and the children too. They were animals. And I slaughtered them like animals. I hated them!

Padme: Go on.

Let me just say that what I have written was based on observation throughout the PT not on what I saw in a clip from some trailer. Though I did think the editing there was a little ridiculous.

And to others:
A lot of people are jumping down my throat. Please relax, I was merely expressing an opinion about the quality of acting. It's not just me certainly: out of frustration Liam Neeson declared that he had retired from acting after shooting TPM and many of the actors have admitted that they have a great deal of difficulty dealing with the extreme use of CG and that they are lacking in useful direction on the set.

I am no expert in filmmaking, I am merely expressing my opinion as a critical, die-impossible fan of Star Wars.

We have only a few weeks left before all of this ends for us (movie wise), can't we speak freely here without the acrimony?

Let me note that I am a gigantic Star Wars fan. Star Wars mesmerized me in my youth and frankly, the fascination and wonderment never went away for me. But it's not all great folks. I would be lying if I said that the PT has the heart and soul that the OT has. I feel that much of this has to do with the wooden acting displayed by so many of the primary movers and shakers in the PT. It's just my opinion but you can disagree to high Haman if you'd like.

"There is no civility..." ;)

Disagree with me if you'd like, but please make an effort to have your facts straight. Neeson was very frustrated with the way TPM went for him. He referred to actors "as puppets in the hands of directors."

Terence Stamp said basically the same thing about George Lucas: PhantomMenace_int_Stamp7.html

It's ok. I still like the PT and all of that and I am just going to drop this afte this post so I am not guilty of thread hijacking.

And, IIRC, it wasn't just TPM that provoked that response from Neeson, but also similar experiences while filming The Haunting.

Many actors have aired complaints of the kind reported here from Stamp and Neeson, while others have said the need to use your imagination while shooting against green screen is not far removed from what's required from shooting on any soundstage with no fourth wall and no ceiling.

Earlier today I read an article about Morgan Freeman where he discussed doing Driving Miss Daisy on stage with three folding chairs and no sets. Obviously Liam Neeson and Terence Stamp never co-starred.

that was pretty cool, i happen to be a film major, what did u cut on by chance?
couple of tips:
overall pretty good
soundtrack needs to flow a little better towards the middle
if you are going to add in lightsaber effects then u need to do other effects as well, the sabers got a big repetitive
and a whole lot of too much dialogue at the beginning
but keep up the good work man, rockin :) :meatwad:
