This was posted by a friend of mine on another board I frequent (non-Star Wars)...I'll try and get the source of the original post...

Guess I'll be getting it in the mail in a couple of weeks. This month's edition has a preview picture of the Episode 3 actress, but they conveniently cut off at the neck so there is no way to confirm who it is.

Playboy sucks. Whenever they do a spread of someone famous they do it very poorly. Has anyone ever noticed this? For example, look at Denise Richards in Playboy. She's covered in wet sand and you can barely enjoy her figure. Is wet sand a turn on for anyone, seriously?

But since Bai Ling is only semi-famous, then the spread might turn out really well. I won't get my hopes up. I did enjoy her fantastic poses in FHM. We can only hope that other Star Wars ladies follow suit.

Am I crazy, or does Bai Ling (if that's who I see in the preview picture) have a large tattoo of a tiger just above her umm kitty cat? Dunno how much I'll like seeing that in a playboy spread. Guess I will find out soon enough.

as a matter of fact when i read your first sentance denise was the first person to come to mind. then i read the second... but yes i have been dissapointed many times by famous people in playboy. the low level celebrities always come out well though. is this girl famous from any where else besides star wars?

playboy gets a lot of 'famous' spreads, but its not the set/props that ruin them, its the ridiculous touch ups done with airbrushing. there have been a ton of them that barely even look like the person its supposed to be (see the trainwreck that was that darva conger butch from who wants to marry a millonaire or whatever that stupid show)

if you really wanna see some of it, college humor had a link awhile ago to a page hosting all the celeb spreads that playboy has done.

Correct on the Bai Ling photo, lots of airbrushing and makeup for that one. I modeled when I was a kid, and saw this stuff first hand. Impressive work indeed, but the final product looks nothing like the real person. And we wonder why young girls and even some boys have such body image problems....this is a prime example.
