Just my rant...but I HATE the packaging on the ROTS basic figures. Bought multiples of many of the key characters for my kids to play with and have run into 2 problems:

1) It is very difficult to get some of the figures out of the plastic "nest" without dismembering / decapitating them. Fortunately, most of the arms, heads, etc seem to pop back on fairly easily (so far).

2) Grew quickly tired of all the little parts packaged behind the photo insert (Anakin's hand, OW's hand, lightsabers, etc). Hard to get out, and easy to miss when a 3 year old is helping you rip into the packages.

Haven't ran into any of those problems myself, but then again I don't have 3 year olds opening my figures.

I personally like the packaging design. Looks a lot less bland on the shelves than the AOTC crap did. Those packaging designs became old to look at quite quickly.

I managed to miss most of the additional stuff behind the photo the first time I opened them. Luckily I read about them on here before I threw the packages out. Just think, I could have lost yoda's cane-holding hand.

I love the sleek package design but getting the figures out is a whole other story. The part that pisses me off most is that some of the packages force you to bend a saber in order the get it out.

anyways, Question; Is it just me or does Anakin's golden arm that came behind his picture have no use. I see a twist point at his wrist but I don't think the arm is interchangeable or anything.

i rarely switch mine out but you should be able to remove the gauntlet to put on the goldy arm.... but it looks puny and holds the saber not so well... i can't wait for the crispy anakin figure with removeable leags and swtichable arms and head too, cant forget the removeable pretty head for the dirt burny head

You know, I was pissy for about three and a half minutes when I was opening the first figure. But then, I just grabbed my pocket knife... And it's really the easiest damn thing in the world to open. It really is. Just slice the tape, pop out the inner tray, cut the bands (if present), slice inner tape (if present), then push from the back. Haven't had the problems I keep reading about on the web. No broken sabers, no popped heads. No problems really. Definitely get yourself a little pocket knife.

Personally, I think this is my favorite packaging for basics ever. Incredibly sweet to look at boxed, but still remarkably easy to open.

Now, if I can get my ferret to forget that I have action figures on the shelves...
