Obi-Wan did note that Anakin was on Tatooine in AOTC, so he definitely found out about his folks inbetween AOTC and ROTS.

I like the part where Yoda comments that Jedi Training isn´t the sole source of self-disipline, that´s the major shift in Jedi philosophy, right there. Let the kid live as a normal person and then train when the Living Force (Qui-Gon´s views shining through) thinks it´s right. :)

Hope Liam Neeson does some voice work in it, as well. :)

Who was it that suggested his scene had been cut from the movie?

Ok so Yoda says here that Luke will be trained when he is ready pretty much. How come in ESB he is so cranky about training Luke at first? Is it because he has given up hope all together or maybe feels he will turn out like his father.

ugh. Anakin fell in part because of his attachments (mom, padme) and he lusted after power (after being powerless on a backwater planet)... so, i know, let's stick our last hope with his family (attachments) and stick him on the same backwater planet; it'll work this time!

The difference is they won´t yank him out of his surroundings before he´s matured.

As far as we know, this is NOT how the movie ends. Supposedly, the final shot is Vader, Palps and Tarken looking at the Death Star being constructed. However things change and may very well change before epsiode III comes out. ;)

The final shot was never Vader, Palps and Tarkin on the SD. That was always a shot 'hoped' to be the final.

Without those lines all the non-believers & "fans" will sit there during the movie asking stupid questions. "Whats his name again?, what did he do?, why is she crying? & why is there a plastic lightsaber being shoved up my ass?"

The thing is, the reason Anakin's attachments became the cause of his fall was because he was constantly told not to have them, instead of being taught how to deal with attachments properly. The old Jedi code was foolish since it tried to ignore human nature instead of dealing with it.

I was just thinking: In AOTC, Owen introduced Beru to Anakin as his girlfriend. Obi calls her Owen's wife. It kinda suggests maybe Anakin stayed in touch with his step-family after Shmi's passing. Nice little touch, I think.

The Jedi philosophy and rules suited them just fine. It was when they went against their beliefs, or rather Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan did, that they suffered. The Jedi Council allowed Obi to train Anakin eventhough he was too old and obviously to angry. They had changed their ways thousands of years ago to prevent taking on such a student.

I think it would be cool to end the movie with Obi Wan delivering baby Luke to the Aunt and Uncle, and show them holding him and then cuts to the ending music.

The way I understand it, George Lucas filmed the end of Episode III during his last stay in Tunisia during Episode II filming because they didn't want to have to go back there. Ewan MacGregor was never there to shoot any scenes for Attack of the Clones because he was never there on Tatooine during Attack of the Clones. So, most likely it won't be that.

Although, I did remember reading somewhere, maybe in a Star Wars Insider, that they did film in Tunisia for Revenge of the Sith, so now I'm really confused. Did they just film background during the Attack of the Clones shoot?

SkyWard, it is possible that ILM will digitally drop Obi-Wan into a pre-shot plate taken in Tunisia... they did it with Oliver Davies (I believe that's his name... the guy who played Sio Bibble) in Ep II in the palace.
