Yes, and his name is Michael Reilly, and his desk is the third down the line in row #4 of the main office.

God damn... this looks like it's going to be a brutal film... much darker than anything that Lucas has done.

THX? But that's a different type of film...

I'm hoping that Lucas can pull it off. I want to feel disturbed in the last act, not necessarily by the inevitable events that we know happen, but the mood of the film. When I first saw Empire as a 4 year old kid, I can remember being mortified that Han Solo was frozen in carbonite, and when Luke was defeated....I was genuinely upset that things had transpired that way. If Lucas can make me feel this way with Episode 3, rather than just present the events as inevitable conclusions and answers to the questions of the saga, then Revenge of the Sith will be a success. This also depends heavily on Johnny's music, so here's hoping.

Wow. I never knew how utterly stupid those kids are on the OS forums.
Some of their responses are a laugh and a half.

The ultimate revenge for frying Anakin would be to cut off his hands before he tried that shit again and according to the Insider & UK magazines, Dooku does indeed use every dark side power he has during the battle.

Or Obi Wan could just tell him "stick your sword in front of it" and he'd be fine. :chewbacca:

Right but in order to ensure he doesn't use the same tactic, cutting off his hands would be a guarantee of that.

I don't think Dooku will be begging for anything. He's Darth Tyrannus, the charismatic seperatist, imperial, imposing, above the rest. He won't cave when he's beaten and facing a jail sentence....not until Anakin goes against the rules and tells him he's about to die, when he realises his Master isn't going to pitch in.

And as for Anakin cutting off both hands, I think it's an effort to utterly humiliate the Count for his arrogance. Let's face it, Anakin's a malicious little prick at times and in the past a lightsaber fight is over when the enemey is literally "disarmed". I doubt Dooku will give up, so Anakin will take the other. Then Dooku won't give him the satisfaction of being broken by losing both hands so Anakin kills him.

^^^I agree with the above. I don't think Dooku will beg for his life at all. He is much too honorable. I think he will tell Anakin to watch his back, or something, seeing as he was Palps Apprentice (or what have you) and he just got screwed over. :o

Can't they just shoot lightning out of any body part they choose?

I think it's going to be a big surprise to Dooku when the rug drops out from under him, the whole time he's thinking that it's a setup to get the Chosen One and when he's in need of a bit of support he's going to realise he's been shafted but before he can do or say anything Anakin is going to axe him. That's the real tragedy of Dooku IMO, that he really did want to change the Galaxy for what he thought was the better and was willing to compromise the means for the end. He's as much a stooge to Sidious as Nute Gunray in TPM and Jar Jar in AotC, although for different reasons.

Dooku is exactly the same kind of character as Anakin in that they're both idealistic and want to increase their power to use to better the Galaxy. Anakin obviously has a control fixation, Vader says he wants to bring order to the Galaxy to Luke in ESB where Dooku has a problem with the corruption and greed in the Senate and decides the best way to fix it is to start an entirely new of Government. Sidious uses them both.

it´s truly some nice pictures, thanks spoilerific. but i don´t like it ´cause it´s simply unrealistic.

just imagine that dooku is that powerful jedi master who gathered his power over hundreds of years of training and battle experience, thats why he beat anakin and obi-wan fair and square in AoTC and had even enough energy left to keep pace with yoda. now all of a sudden only 3 years later he is beaten by a young jedi with a mother complex?

forget about that " he´s at the peak of his power, while anakin has still potential" as well as the fury argumentation. skills gathered in such a long time and perfected by experience can´t be undone in just three years, however gifted or furious anakin is. lucas simply didn´t invest some more time to create a more realistic scenario. what a pity! and yeah i know, lucas raped my childhood and i´ve got no life.

^ maybe Dooku get distracted/disturbed while fighting Anaking when he realizes he has been duped the whole time by Palps. I imagine Dooku under control the whole time during the duel. Then, Palps starts encouraging Anakin to dispose of Dooku (well obviously playing the captive part) but in a "dark" taunting manner. Only then Dooku realizes he has been a pawn the whole time. This gives Anakin the chance to turn the tables on him.

Hopefully, it's not just that one shot that makes Anakin look huge. If he looks that big through most of the movie it should help silence a few of the 'Vader tiny arms' naysayers. Hell what am i saying! Never gonna happen.....

I love all the pictures, but...

The Dooku with hands cut off seems a little too dark and disturbing for Star Wars. I know this is supposed to be the darkest chapter in the series. I just can't see this movie being released and aimed at children who will be subjected to a scene with an old man having his hands cut off by an angry Anakin.

Does anyone else find this scene a little disturbing?

Yeah, first time I heard it I thought it was a bit harcore. But the way I think it's going to happen, it's going to make Anakin look more arrogant and sadistic so it's not just a gratuitious multiation, it also has importance to the storyline too.

I didn't notice the CG head either and I'm usually the first to bitch about needless (or at least bad) CG. Matching it frame by frame would make it look like a Monty Python animation (like Anakin at the end of RotJ). It's far easier to create a CG model and make it look decent than it is to composite something like that frame by frame.

Although I would have far preferred it were the actual actor doing the fighting, Lee is in his early hundreds and probably wouldn't be up for it.

Alternatively they could have used a stunt double like in I'm Gonna Git Ya Sucka, or whatever it was called.

Dogg.

If you look in the Intercepted Imperial Plans Topic, it is stated that Mace gets his arm cut off. This is from a while back (Springtime)

Why didn't they just frame by frame match Chris Lee's real head to the double. If they took it one frame at a time.

I imagine it's probably much easier for ILM to just replace his head with a CG head rather than have Lee try and match the performance and movements of the stunt double for tons of shots.

Captain-Raveers wrote:
If you guys remember for AOTC during the Yoda and Dooku duel for most of it they did have a stunt double but with Lee's face composed onto it.

The whole fight was done that way. Lee only did shots for close-ups or when he was speaking dialogue. Everything else was done by Kyle Rowling, his stunt-double.

Keep in mind this is a still frame, you're going to see it for a 24th of a second in the end.

The way the only person here who should be thanked is Spoileriffic. I'm not sure if he authorized the spreading of the pics by Josh or the trading by those who were spread to (lack of the better phrase) but Spoileriffic is the one.
