I love it how people make claims to have the dvd, say this and that is different and then include absolutly no shread of prove to back there words up. Heck, if I had those dvdrs right now, id be uploading with my 30kb to some scene release group, at 30kb, even it would take me 4 days to do a full dvd+9 dvdr. Shit, if I had the dvds and knew nothing, you could still leak this.

Why? What do you get out of doing that? I could never understand how people feel "obligated" to get pirated stuff "out there".

First post here...

Been watching bits and pieces of the ROTJ rip, and forgive me if I missed it... but did anybody else notice during the Naboo sequence that you hear a Gungan shouting, "Weesa freeee!" I slapped on some headphones and picked that little bit up out of I think the right channel audio.

NO WAY!!!

Is there a nub factory up the road?
Oh right, that's just TFN.

Statement retracted :P

From Qui_Gon_Take_Me_Away
Quote:
Several pages back in this thread, somebody asked if the topic of Hayden's purported appearance at the end of ROTJ was discussed at Comic-Con in San Diego.

It was. By me.

On Saturday, July 24, at around noon*, I attended the panel on Episode III, with Steve Sansweet, Rick McCallum, and Hayden Christensen. When it came time for the Q&A, I went up to the mic and asked, directly, the following question. Here it is, practically verbatim:

"This question is for Rick, or Hayden, or whoever wants to comment-- I've been reading rumors that Hayden is being inserted into the end of Return of the Jedi, either for this upcoming DVD release, or for a future theatrical re-release. Could you please confirm or deny that?"

A confused look on McCallum's face.

"I don't even know where that's coming from," he responded, harshly. It was like he didn't even know where that would be.

"Well, in the end, instead of Sebastian Shaw..."

Steve Sansweet piped in, "I guess you'll have to wait for the DVDs." The audience responded with boos.

"Hey, I don't mind being the bad guy, I've got 'Sith' on my shirt!" Sansweet responded, to which the crowd cheered.

Confused and confounded, I went back to my seat.

So what's the deal?

*Pacific Time. I'm mentioning this to line it up with the timing of the ROTJ video clip appearance online. When was that?

Huh? He's in daylight, so they have to make it glow a bit more to stand out (Guess why they changed the saber colour from blue to green in ROTJ)

Besides, I love the vibrant AOTC sabers :)

I think all Waldenbooks had them in droves, but they went pretty fast. I know what you mean, he's a cool doll. I saw the box and figure (no book) at an antique store for $40.00 a couple of months ago.

I really hope the Luke Bespin scream is taken out. That and bring my shuttle have been the bane of my SE viewing experience since '97.

its' grainy.

Is there any chance that JPEG compression is making it look bad? It's only 33KB so maybe it's a good bit of compression.

I hope he can and will get the EP III bit online.

Not that it matters, but ROTJ is also up on usenet, for those that don't wanna wait so long for bit torrent.

alt.binaries.movies.divx

be careful though, you want the one from Sjoan, the other is just the SE.

and what does WIP mean anyway?

And I don't think us newbies are welcome here. I won't be sticking around much longer. You guys can keep your community. I have never seen such rudeness and egos as I have read here.

thank you. feel kinda dumb now. i don't know, just seems kinda hostile right now. which i can kinda understand, since it is the "leak" of this dvd that has caused for it to become over-run. but so many "kill all newbie" type posts is kinda... well... harsh.

I don't think it has to do with keeping certain people in this community. It has to do with the posts that are coming from some of the newbies. That is what’s pissing people off. If you come on here and write intelligent posts, you will be ok. If you come from other forums/boards, you have to realize that shit is a little different here. You can't just come in and start grabbing all the info and then complaining about it. I am not directing this at you, it is just a general statement. Just post intelligent, stay away from the redundant conspiracy theories, and listen to certain posters. If you do that you will be fine. :)

Hey guys, I was wondering what program you suggest for capturing screens from the movie? Printscreen doesn't work and I've tried some other screen capturing programs but none of them are setup to capture images from video. So I was wondering what you guys suggest. :)

Media Player Classic...
- You can go frame by frame
- You can adjust ratio
- Load subtitles
- Minimal system resources
- Alt + Print Screen = screenshot, no video overlay capture problems
It's just massively superior OK...

The picture of the reactor shaft was impressive.

Before there was just a bright white light at the bottom.
Now you can see, that actually that are forcefield rings.

If you paid attention to the film you would have noticed Ackbar ordering everyone to concentrate fire on the Executor. Capital ships and fighters. One fighter did not bring down the Executor singlehandedly. :chewbacca:

Oh it didn't huh? Cause that's what's implied in the film, what with the Executor not looking at all damaged prior to the ship crashing into the bridge.

That's what I have, the xvid. What flaw am I supposed to be seeing? A slightly faster playback?

Because it's a 5.1 Dolby Digital stream, which are designed primarily for theaters. Movie soundtracks are made to sound good in movie theaters, where you can comfortably enjoy a huge explosion yet still hear the faintest whisper. When they transfer the audio to DVD, that high dynamic range has to be compressed so that you can still hear those whispers and explosions on your home speaker system. The downside is that you have to turn your amp up quite a bit higher. That's just the way it is. ;)

Dynamic range compression is what I was getting at. I'm using direct spdif out to my onkyo 989 thx reciever and I haven't noticed any problems thus far.

Some of the channels are misdirected. The center channel has been placed in the right channel's place and either the right or left channel is in the center spot. The left channel is blank. At least that's how it came out after I stripped it. I've stripped other AC3 files in the past without that result. It's cool either way, I just got a coaster when I used the demuxed AC3 file for a DVD burn. I'll wait for the legit discs to play in the living room, and even if I wanted to download the DVD-R, I'd probably have to wait that long anyhow.
