I love this community bc we're not grifters like Jeremy Griggs and his TFM cronies. If I don't like a SW film, like I disliked TLJ, I'm like...eh these are the parts I like, these are the parts I hate, but, I still have the OT and PT (pre-disney box set too), so whatever. And I have TCW and SW Rebels was pretty good. And now new Clone Wars early next year. Kenobi. TROS looks promising and I will see it opening night; I can't help it. My love for SW far outweighs any "hatred" I feel for TLJ and SW is still magical to me.

Almost everyone here I remember as outcasts from I was originally on TF.N, then Aldera primarily and episode-x, there was some site in-between I believe, then DP set up this site. We old timers remember all the shit from back in the day and the drama. and fuck TF.N still haha. It's cool that there are people who still post here and DP was the rockstar of the prequel spoiler scene. 'member when the mods of tf.n set up their own private forum (an ezboard, have the name on the tip of my tongue) and tried to overthrow TF.N? I 'member. And somehow they allowed me to be a member for a long time until they kicked a bunch of people out; they didn't know who I was though. I remember, I was posting there during the 2000 election haha. I think it was spearheaded by Vertical?

My favorite memory was January 2, 2002.

That night, the rumor that N'Sync was going to make a cameo appearance in AOTC hit, and my God, the shitstorm that developed was unmatched. I think the rumor was they would be Jedi in the Geonosis Arena battle, just running in the background somewhere.

I remember Aldera well. Always seemed like a calm, rational place in an era (prequel era) where very little of it existed online.

Those prequel spoiler days were the best. DP exposing those private TFN mod chats, the super not-quite-secret Kamino boards, Episode-X, Aldera boards. With the PT you were either a gusher or a basher.

Ah, the memories. I didn't know who or what the living fuck N'Sync was, nor did I care. But wow, people were acting like the apocalypse was nigh.
Turns out the band were shooting a video in the same building and stopped by to say hi, and Rick McC let them try on some Jedi robes and hold some lightsaber props just for their own shits and giggles.

And then, when it turned out that N'Sync was not in the movie, people claimed that Lucas cut them out because of the back lash. Jesus Fuck.

My favorite memory in 2001:

Ewan McGregor alongside with Nicole Kidman being interviewed once the title of AOTC was revealed. Ewan and Nicole broke out into a fit of laughter and he said, "That's a terrible title." Some fans thought it meant the movie was gonna be bad.

Another favorite of mine - before I even found this site...in 1999 when TPM came out, people said the movie was amazing just because of podracing and the Maul fight, then 2002 came around and people said TPM was a shit movie :roll eyes:
