Damn these posters are really nice. It's totally not feeling like Star Wars but I think I'm at a point where I can appreciate something new and fresh (not looking at you, Rian Johnson, you need to gtfo).
Nice painterly feel and vibrant colors in a tight stylised design, cool.

Seeing these puts me on the lookout for the Solo Style Guide and high-res layered Key Art in Photoshop. Any leads to these files would be greatly appreciated.

Reminds me of Indiana Jones and the Magical Pants* debacle of early 2008. Also, the E.T. re-release of 2002.

*Wherein Paramount altered a shot of the Russians pointing their guns at Indy and Mac in the first trailer which resulted in the appearance of strangely hovering pants on the soldiers. Many lost their shit because they thought it was a PC-move that would infect the finished film.

I think there are actually rules or guidelines against guns in advertising. The initial Revenge of the Sith teaser and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull trailer had to be modified. But this is probably a choice by Disney because of the current social/political climate.

Pathetic to remove fictional space based laser blasters from a movie poster for a film that is 100% fictional space fantasy.

I wouldn't expect anything less from Disney.
