Fantastic episode.
Season Two has quite easily surpassed Season One and done so in leaps and bounds.

Oh boy; when Vader and Ahsoka finally face-off it's going Anakin versus Obi-wan epic. Will this forthcoming fight also take place on Mustafar?

For whatever reason, I like the idea of Ahsoka tooling around in a blue-striped A-wing.

The last episode in this year is nice, at least one of the subplots (Ezra's parents) is solved. I liked it and even shed a tear or two :P

I didn't get emotional, but I liked the timing of the revelation and the homage to Luke's twin sunset scene.

Per Rebels Recon, something "Big" happens next episode. I am anticipating another sad ending. Drama-wise, Rebels may be trying to echo TFA.

Regarding the next episode (Secrecy of Prisoner X10) Filoni stated the final 5 mins will be jaw-dropping. I have no idea of the context but Filoni rarely minces his words so I am expecting something significant.

It's gotta be the Roy Focker moment that's been teased for so long.

you think Vader about to kill his apprentice? I'd rather Ashoka not die but I don't see how her, Ezra or Kanan can survive into he later years of the rebellion.

Star Wars Rebels returns on the 20th with “A Princess on Lothal”?

Ahsoka versus Vader won't happen until the season finale. I don't think that Vader will kill Ahsoka. My guess is that he will maim her in the same manner as Obi-wan did to him.

In the concept art for Rebels, Filoni initially drew one of the show's signature characters as Roy Focker. To me, that means that this character will meet a surprising and untimely end (just as Focker did in the Macross / Robotech series).

So, the below is happening. I suppose it was inevitable given her adopted father's role on the show. Han probably won't show-up until just before the Solo film is released.

Well she better be around doing some stuff for the Rebellion already if she's supposed to be so important so soon.

I wonder why people are so mad at her appearing - it's a show aimed mostly at kids, just like Clone Wars where Ahsoka was 14 when she was on the frontlines ... and even Padme was around that age during Episode 1 and she was a Queen.

Of course what matters most is the fact that she's a recognizable character that the Rebels could simply just not pass.

I almost wonder if Rebels will try to lead into Rogue One or if it's still too early for that.

Almost like how in Marvel tv shows, they refer to the New York alien attack from Avengers in subtle ways.

Introducing Leia only makes sense for a show called Rebels. It was bound to happen.

Stunning!

Brought to you, in part, by Lucas' last apprentice.

The Force is strong with Filoni and company.

This wasn't the episode previewed in last year's final Rebels Recon. And wasn't this episode supposed to end with a jaw-dropping stunner of some sort?

Either way, I enjoyed the episode (big surprise). Loved the comic role-playing throughout. And Kanan's taking out of the AT-AT was quite cool. The AT-AT operators' reaction to a stormtrooper with a lightsaber made me chuckle.

hey it almost seems as if nobody cares much about this series, I find it pretty solid. This was a great episode, Leia was handled really well.

One of my favorite episodes of the season. I feel like they got Leia spot-on in terms of animation, vocals, etc.

It baffles me why Disney insists on putting this show on Disney XD rather than The Disney Channel. Ratings would have to be higher if they did that.

Really liked this episode more than I thought. Leia was handled really well, pretty much like Vader - she made an appearance, did her part and left. It makes the whole rebellion more beliveable, because more important figures have other places to go and more tasks to carry out. I gotta say that the battles are getting more and more dramatic - there's a lot of stuff going on now and Empire starts looking more menacing. I guess I could compare it to Ep4 and 5, where they suddenly went from having only TIEs and an ISD to whole fleets of ships,

I didn't read the next part of Kanan comic, but I guess the Mandalorians under Fenn Rau's command were here. I like Mandos so the episode was very good for me :P

I think this season has been pretty uneven since the Siege of Lothal, but I really liked this episode. Glad to see them finally do more to establish Sabine as a proper character and I also liked how they used Kanan here.

Surprisingly good episode. Enjoyed it quite a lot.
Fenn Rau was a great character and loved the whole Ralph vibe in the art direction.
I wish they would apply this aesthetic and create Star Wars comic books.

No. "The Call" synopsis:

While on a mission to obtain fuel for the rebel fleet, the crew works to protect space creatures from the Techno Union asteroid mining operation that threatens the creatures’ lives.

I think we will see the Force-centered episodes after "The Honorable Ones". This week's episode is called "Legends of the Lasat" - Zeb meets the survivors from Lasan. "Homecoming" is about Cham Syndulla, "The Call" description is above, and "The Honorable Ones" is about Zeb and Kallus who both must survive on the ice planet after the crash.

Here's the new episode.

I liked it. Hondo was very good as always, we learned something about Zeb's past. Nice violin music during the "crossing" scene.

To my surprise, I really liked this one. From the mystic stuff to Hondo, the writing was topnotch. Plus, Kiner really hit it out of the park.

Overall, I like the idea of different cultures having a different approach to The Ashla The Force. Star Wars mythology gets expanded once again.

Your almost archetypal "save the whales" episode.

But I dug it. Loved how the episode hinted at the origins of hyperspace travel in the Star Wars universe. Very nice.

better: I found this page which has all the season 2 links from 4chan, and it gets updated as soon as the episode is up :)

http://pastebin.com/eddBUt6x

I thought it was a pretty good episode... the way I look at Rebels is, and moreso than TCW, I'm conscious it is first speaking to younger than me, but I really appreciate that they use this approach to frankly go into fairy tale, old legends, folklore territory like this week. I think they do it very well and sincerely, and it is truly pleasant to watch. Even though I'm quite on board with TFA, I feel Rebels is a lot more daring and unexpected especially for a cartoon relying heavily on OT and McQuarrie too, I'd say I got a lot of surprises from the recent episodes that many online are calling fillers, even if I do wait for the heavy stuff coming at the end of the season as much as anyone else.

And an excellent discovery it is, sir, thank you very much! :)

BTW, I happen to agree with your opinion about "Rebels". "Sincere" is a good word here. And this show works not only for kids and old farts like me: even though both of my sons are in their late teens, they consider this series awesome. Perhaps they, too, need some of that somewhat naive sincerety (so typical to Star Wars!) among all the crap usually served on TV.

Hera's accent slipping and Ezra and Kanan Force-pulling themselves through that corridor were stand-out parts for me.

Not to mention all that Clone Wars connectivity. Awesome when you've been there from the start.

The two main trends of season 2 are character-focused story lines and the continuation of the TCW series into Rebels. As such, I'm very happy with the show.

I didn't expect Kallus to progress beyond is one-dimensional portrayal as an Imperial. What a nice surprise.

Next week should kick the show into high gear.
