An a'ight episode. Nothing too dramatic or particularly memorable. Really waiting for the shit to hit the fan in this arc. The climax, in other words.

I loved the scene with Anakin and Palpatine, though. We really haven't seen them together much in the series.

Oh, and Sly Snoodles' very brief cameo was worth a chuckle.

Is this the first use of Obi-wan being called "Ben?"

Yeah this episode didn't bring any surprises to the table but it was a solid effort anyway - the plot was pretty good and the twist with Anakin contributed for some great action sequences.
I also like the fact that more and more rejected designs get introduced.

I wish the camera would have panned back to show a giant triangle.

Yes. Satine was supposed to call Obi-wan "Ben" back in season 2. However, Filoni and Anna Graves changed the line during a recording session. They felt that “Obi” sounded more affectionate. So, in that moment, Ben went from being Obi-wan’s real name to merely a code name. In retrospect, it makes more sense to have Obi-wan as his true name. It gives a little more weight to his reaction in ANH. (No one has called him by his real name in twenty years.)

It seems that I liked this episode a little more than everyone else. Maybe it’s my love for ROTJ, but I enjoyed seeing the Dung-like Hutt planet and all its OT species denizens. Plus, the ending action sequence was well-executed and included a surprise kneeing by Anakin.

I’m not sure if anyone else saw this, but Filoni is auctioning off some autographed concept art for charity. The artwork is a sketch of Boba and Bane. Boba is seen sporting his very awesome OT-animated armor. I would love for him to wear this same outfit on this series and in Underworld.

So far, I’m not feeling the next episode. Why waste the lives of capable Bounty Hunters in the Box-thing and how come Dooku can’t sense Obi-wan’s presence?

For that matter, why couldn't Anakin sense Obi-Wan as soon as he got within 50 feet of him? This is the guy who is supposedly "like my father!" and who he's partnered with for more than a decade. It really took until Obi-Wan said "Don't follow me" until he clued in?
Kind of a '.' episode, and I actually was not impressed by the planet - I was thinking maybe Utapau or soewhere equally non-descript, certainly not a major location. The whole thing seemed awfully...small. And the standoff at the very end was lmae-ish. Why didn't Asoka simply kill the bejeesus out of Bane right then and there. She wasn't really required to stand over Anakin.

I think he did. Didn't he say "That's why I felt a connection" or something? They made eye contact when Obi-Wan was piloting the ship and Anakin was fighting Bane on the hood of the ship. Also he's blinded by his anger, and in the heat of the moment didn't give a fuck and just wanted to kill whom he thought killed Obi-Wan.

Ahsoka may not have been required to stand over Anakin, but she felt her duty was to protect him, since the Bounty Hunters were clearly going to knock him off.
