McCallum Talks Live-Actions Series

In the following video, McCallum reveals the series' working title, Star Wars: Underworld, and talks about the many challenges faced in getting the series on the air. Mostly a recap and mostly business-related, but there are some interesting new nuggets within. For instance, the episodes have a greater scale than the prequels.

MCCALLUM QUOTES

"It's underneath what's going on," he reiterated about the series' focus, "It's the criminals and the gangs. The guys who are running Wall Street, basically. The guys who are running the United States."

"They take place between Episode III and Episode IV. That 20 year period when Luke is growing up. It's not about Luke, but it's about that period when the Empire is trying to take things [over]."

I hope the title changes because frankly, it's uninspired.

This show is how many years overdue? I'll start to get excited when I see some materials.

they're waiting on Apple TV. this show is four years off at the earliest. and it's bullshit about them worrying if they'll recoup their cost or not. turn the new characters into toys like you did Clone Wars and laugh your way to the bank.

They talk about the scope being enormous. What should be our honest-to-God expectations for how this thing will look? If the visuals don't match the quality of the films it'll be very distracting I would think. Without a doubt this project would be the most expensive TV series ever dreamed of. I have never seen a live-action television show with movie-like production values.

Yeah! Take that, disproportionately filthy rich corporate establishment fat-cats! Oh...wait, I just received a desist letter from LFL LTD.s giant squadron of lawyers....
