There no intelligent reason for Lucasfilm to intentionally leak illegitimate versions of the BR discs. Such a move would cause bad publicity, and that’s not anything a company wants a few weeks prior to an official release. (And yes; despite the inconsistent quality of these discs, Lucasfilm is an intelligent company.)

Quoting for the second page crew:

Not a fraud: LFL confirmed to the NY Times that Vader's NOOO is real - and by extension the rest of the changes as well.

NYTIMES: On Wednesday, a press representative for Lucasfilm confirmed that this change will be included in the Blu-ray release, writing in an e-mail: “Yes — Darth says NO"

"bigshinyrobot.com" also managed to get more Lucasfilm confirmation of the changes but first a little backstory:

bigshinyrobot.com originally was outraged that anyone would think these "rumors" were real because after the 1997SE, 2004DVDSE, 2006OUT releases - there was no way in hell Lucas would release a less than perfect set.

After reality set in bigshinyrobot.com got an official confirmation from Lucasfilm:

LUCASFILM Statement: "Yes, the updates are confirmed. We hope fans will wait to see for themselves how they fit into the Saga before making any judgments."

That means you trolls can stop voting "NO" :funkywhatevaho:

Welp at least we LFL is reading the various boards - they know this is not going over well by any stretch of the imagination and are starting to shit themselves "Oh god, please buy it anyways!".

I love BSRs immediate ass-kissing backpeddle, it's hysterical "uh ... well ... we ... I ... I'll still buy it and love it ... I think ... TELL ME WHAT TO DO LUCAS!!!".

You're not likely to see the deleted scenes on an ISO of the movie disc - the extras are on separate discs...

Yes, remember, because they wanted to maximize the quality of each film's presentation...which they said repeatedly with straight faces.
