I agree. I didn't like it too much at first but I'm beginning to change my opinion on it. I can't wait to have this sucker in my hands on September 16th.

Very interesting choice of characters to use on the discs. No Luke. No Han. No Leia. No Anakin. No young Obi-Wan. No Padme. That *had* to be a conscious decision by someone.

And I am just waiting for the screaming over the length of Yoda's ear on the TPM disc, plus the fact that AOTC Yoda appears on the TPM disc.

I'm a geek for things like the booklet included with the set. Really anxious to see what this small detail contains.

I thought so too. It's just a guess, but I'm thinking that the "big three" for each trilogy will dominate the images in the booklet.

Unless that's the 'new' TPM Yoda, ooohhh. Maybe?

Qui-Gon would be a better choice for TPM. It's not like Yoda has that big of a role in it.

Looks like the characters on the discs as well as in the booklet are paintings like on the cover. They are representations, not screenshots, so Yoda's ear length and the AOTC-ish background in the Luke/Leia/Han picture are more conceptual than literal.

Does the fact that the CGI Yoda is on the Ep 1 disc mean that we WILL get than on the blu-ray version?
I hope so! :chewbacca:

:what: Some seems to think we won´t get it until next years 3D release.

I don't think the artwork reflects that any more than it suggests that the films will all look like oil paintings.

However, after seeing this clip I would be very surprised if Yoda CGI did not appear in TPM:

I'm more concerned with the OT than with CGI Yoda...

Same here. I have yet to see/hear a straight answer as to whether or not it's a full-blown HD remaster or not.

And since we'll get the SE, I would like to know if major inconsistencies like the lightsabers, laser bolts, starfighter engines, etc, will be dealt with. I really hope so, otherwise they won't get my money.

That looks awesome. Just slightly over 2 months before it's in our hands. I haven't watched any Star Wars movies for a good year or so. I will be having a marathon though the day I get this in the mail.

Still no information if they got the color timing right or not for the Original Trilogy. Hopefully ILM did take their time and actually did get it right, even fix the audio errors for Star Wars (ANH).

Ah, ok, that's the thread where I pointed out the difference between what I saw in the ILM doc and the DVD and HDTV images. Yes, I'm hoping for the best as well there, and it certainly looks like there's a copy of the films somewhere which has a proper contrast ratio. I thought you were reffering to some major alterations to the sequence itself, a la the subtle changes to AotC which were made after the film was in theaters (the sparks on Jango's backpack, etc..). Thanks for the clarification!

Saaaaaaaaayyyyy...whadya got there, OBGYN? Anything you'd like to, ah share? :)
