| How is it that I've never heard of Rachel Nichols? IMDB is telling me that she was in GI JOE and Star Trek. Funny, but I don't remember her being so... appealing. I also don't remember Conan being Rastafarian. |

| She's not so blonde in GI Joe (Scarlett) and she's easy to miss in star trek, she was Uhura's Orion roommate. |

I hope this film works. The original is still in my DVD collection, somewhere in the top 10. Sure, the sequel made a joke of the fantasy genre. Not on purpose, but because of how many ways it completely sucked. Conan the Barbarian came out before anyone knew who the fuck Arnold Schwarzenwhoever was. And you can tell when you watch it that he wasn't getting his ass kissed as much during the production like he did when his ego took over every film he made, shortly after.
The brutal nature of the story and look of the original were what made it a great film. Unfortunately from the pics, and I could be wrong, but it all looks a little Xena-ish to me. 3 cheers for hope.

I seriously hope they do not completely fuck this up the rhubarb. I am an immense Conan fan and having the seen the original when I was a kid, it still to this day remains one of my fav films ever. I only ever saw the sequel once.
I have faith (Ithink) that Nispel will not turn this into Kull 2.
In fact, Nispel needs to take a long hard sober look at the original and take it from there.
I will be absolutely devo if this things goes pear shape. |

It actually looks like he's taking the role pretty seriously. Hope this bodes well for the rest of the production. |

Yeah, New Conan doesn't look as bad as I feared when I only knew of him as a guy who looked like some kind of lost Dead Head. The original was an exceptionally bloody (if sometimes mis-timed in the FX) film, and I hope they don't lose that. I want to leave the theatre thinking I need a fucking band-aid. Still, he looks mean enough. I hope it gets an "R" rating, not only for the ultra-violence I'm rooting for, but with all the decent snatch they have cast, I hope there is far too much nudity for a PG-13.
One thing that gets me nervous. The villian. So they aren't remaking the original, fine by me, if done well. But one of the things that made the original such a great movie (and I don't care if he was originally a Kull the Conqueror character, he was still dope) was Thulsa Doom. Some scary evil bastard who got a gang of folks all hyped up for murder and death that they flocked to him and stood in line to be green stew for his henchmen. And Vaders delivery of all his great dialogue was cinema gold. The sense of murderous revenge on Conans part was solidly stamped in at the beginning. I hope the director and the producers of this film have an equally compelling story to tell. With tits and ass and buckets of blood. But not together, because that's a real turn off. Yick. |

| Jason Moma was great as Ronon Dex in Stargate Atlantis, in fact he was one of my favorite actors when he joined the Atlantis team. To have them choose him as Conan, is an interesting choice. I'm sure he'll do pretty good in the roll. |

| they saw a book about Photoshop in the store as they were walking to the porno mags. Kinda took interest, but said, "aw fuck it, lens flares make everything look awesome man." and they put the book down and were hired by the marketing team for Conan the next day. |
