Here's a set of wallpapers I started months ago but didn't finish. These are classic black & white photos from A New Hope. I guess there's still a little time left to celebrate the 30th...

They look good. I'm not looking to use a black and white wallpaper at the moment, but down the road I might dig a color version of the "wretched hive" pic with the b&w logo.
Still, nice work. |

Very nice, Red-Eye. The Alec lightsaber one really stands out.

Those are great. It might be nice to see the logo incorporated on top of the images instead of the black bar on the side.

Thank you for the kind words gentlemen. Actually these were B&W photos to begin with but the notion of colorizing them hadn't occured to me Troy. I thought the fact that they were B&W added a certain nostalgic class to them, but adding color might be a fun project down the line.

Yeah, I like the logo over the image composition too in many cases. My reason for the black margin was a cropping issue actually. My widescreen monitor would have cropped out much of these images had I proportioned them to fit horizontally. They are all 8x10 photos and to fit them across would hidden the top & bottom of each image. Also the black margin gives me a non cluttered area for my desktop icons. When working with widescreen images, I like the overlayed logo effect. I guess if I had done these 5 years ago on a 1024 x 768 monitor, I would have done it that way.
