News just hit today that Europe's not getting the PS3 until march 07. And the US is only getting 400,000 units and Japan only 100,000. So my plan is to camp out and grab one and sell on Ebay. It'll pay for christmas quite nicely I think. Who's with me?

That's a fucking great idea. When does it come out? I wonder if there is a waiting list somewhere I'll have to asshole my way into. If I made enough I'd save some cash to buy one in a year or two when the price starts to drop.

It's hiliarious to see when a new system comes out gamers just flock like mad cows or something over to stores and fight each other to try and grab the latest game console.

I could honestly careless about the newest game consoles. Personally I think it's stupid to spend about $700 or something like that for every time a new console comes out. It's too bad more people don't take Troy's advice and wait a year when the price drops. Then again most of these gamers are to stupid to actually think that.

well I remember last year at Christmas, the Xbox360 was going for over $1500 on Ebay. I wouldn't be suprised if someone got 2k for a PS3 this year considering the shortages.

Fuck PS3 and Fuck Sony. They have been completed shitfaced about this whole system. The price, the lack of games, the list of extra shit they will make you buy just to play the fucking thing (if you get a 20G system, you are screwed; HD cables are not included with the system; a separate adapter to use your old memory sticks). Plus, the development kits are horrible based on 3rd party developer reaction. Sony is fucking this shit up before the system is even released. Dare I say, I might buy a 360 (and I hate microsoft)!

The problem with the PS3, is that they don't realize how folly their marketing moves and interviews have been to the system. All they can see still is their catalouge, which for whatever reason they believe will sell the unit. $700 for Metal Gear Solid 5, Yea right.

I was really skeptical about buying a 360 just in spite of Microsoft. However almost all of the fellas have taken the dive and bought their own recently, so I'm about ready to give in.

I say fuck both of them, that the Nintendo Wii is the way to go this generation. But I'm not passing up on an opportunity here. There are people out there that have to have a new system on the first day and I'll sell them one if I get one. It's purely ecconomical to me.

Sony screws up all of their electronic devices with their firmware controls. Look at the PSP. They should have embraced homebrew instead of updating their firmware every few months, making earlier games unplayable without the upgrade.

The PS3 will become the MAC of gaming consoles: good powerhouse system, too expensive for what is available on the market and with just enough fan base to keep it running. Either that or it will become the next 3DO...
